Great host, great place to be if you want to explore the Irish country side and its surroundings - Dromina has acc. to the net 315 people and a pub! Wir waren nur für 2 Nächte da, man könnte aber aufgrund der guten Ausstattung (Waschmaschine, Airfryer, sämtliche Küchenutensilien)auch problemlos länger bleiben. Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin sehr nett und unkompliziert.

We would highly recommend a stay here and would love to stay again ourselves. The wildlife park that is not too far is also worth a visit too.

• Chiara (9/5): Toller Aufenthalt im ruhigen Dromina - Cara ist eine wundervolle Gastgeberin. Obwohl sie nicht vor Ort war, hat sie uns tatkräftig bei allem unterstützt und auch immer schnell geantwortet. Die Unterkunft ist mit allem ausgestattet was man benötigt und sehr liebevoll eingerichtet. Es liegen Info Broschüren sowie der Busplan bereit. Da man ein wenig abseits ist, sollte man sich allerdings vorher mit Lebensmitteln eindecken oder mit dem Auto unterwegs sein. Kochen war kein Problem, von Airfryer bis Kochplatte ist alles da. Dromina bietet (neben einer tollen Landschaft) nicht viel aber wenn man genau das sucht, ist es perfekt für ein paar Tage Ruhe im grünen. Der Pub ist angenehm klein und kann in 2-5 min zu Fuß erreicht werden. Die Armatur im Badezimmer ist vollkommen in Ordnung, der Kaltwasserhahn lässt sich schwer zu drehen aber dafür funktioniert der Warmwasserhahn perfekt und wird nicht zu heiß. Einer der besten Aufenthalte und Gastgeberinnen die wir bisher hatten! Da wir zu Fuß unterwegs waren, gab es wenig Möglichkeiten aus und nach Dromina zu kommen, man sollte sich vorher unbedingt mit den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln vertraut machen oder sich entsprechende Taxi Unternehmen raus suchen. Mit dem Auto ist es allerdings kein Problem.

La disposición del apartamento es genial y muy espacioso. La cama es comodísima y dispones de todo lo que necesitas a la hora de cocinar. Tienes toallas, mantas por si pasas frío....Dromina es un pueblo chiquitín que cuenta con un pub con gente muy amable. En general, todo es perfecto. Igual las sartenes tienen muchos usos, pero todo lo demás está muy bien.

• Kstelao (10/5): UNA AUTÉNTICA EXPERIENCIA DE IRLANDA - Excelente alojamiente y mejor anfitriona, Cara. No puedo decir otra cosa. Superconfortable y con multitud de detalles. De los mejores lugares a los que he viajado. Pero, no es sólo el confort del alojamiento, sino la experiencia vivida en el lugar, una pequeña población próxima a Charleville (donde puedes comprar en los supermercados) y un poco al sur de Limerick. Es ideal para desplazarse (en coche) a todo el suroeste de Irlanda, desde Galway a Waterford, incluyendo todo el Kerry. Pero, lo mejor es el sentimiento de comunidad que se respira en Dromina, una población muy tranquila. Algo que recomiendo mucho es pasar por las noches por su pub, el The Cottage Bar, y verá a qué me refiero. En fin, que es un establecimiento que me encantaría repetir, sin duda.

• Marianne (9/5): Fun one-bedroom apartment - Nicely decorated, quiet apartment with separate bedroom. It was a storefront that has been nicely renovated, so there's lots of windows making it bright and airy. There are black-out curtains as well as sheers for privacy. Well-stocked kitchen, comfy chairs and couches, and a great bed! We felt very comfortable and at home. The host was very attentive and helpful. Loved the washing machine! The apartment is in a very small town with no shops and only one pub that doesn't serve food. However, our host recommended we shop at Charleville, 10 km away, and we found everything we needed. Location is centrally located between many places to visit, including Blarney, Limerick, Kerry, and Waterford, but up to an hour drive. If you prefer to have one base and take day trips for touring, this is a great location!

It was absolutely spotless which is always the number one priority for me. Every room was beautifully decorated and was equipped with top quality furniture and utensils. The host went beyond the necessary when providing complementary basics and could not do enough to ensure that I had everything I needed. I travel a lot with my work across Ireland and the UK and this is without doubt the best Air BnB I have stayed in. I would highly recommend this property to anyone visiting this beautiful part of Cork.

• Edit (8/5): Very good - No one welcomed us, and we never met anyone. The apartment was simply open, and we were greeted by a few written instructions. The apartment was nice and spacious, and it was comfortable to be there. In the bathroom, the water wouldn’t drain, so it overflowed onto the floor, which was annoying. If someone stays here overnight, they need to take care of dinner and breakfast in advance because there is nothing in the area, just a small store with nothing in it.

• Halyna (2/5): Very misleading and terrible location - If you looking to stay in the small town of Dromina, Cara’s apartment was very nice, well kept and cutely decorated. we ( 2 of us) had booked in for five nights and we had to leave after night one. The reason we had to leave is because her listing was incredibly misleading. We were under the impression when booking that her apartment was located in the city of Cork. When you search on booking.com for accommodation in Cork City, her apartment shows up. However, she is located in County Cork, which is not mentioned in her description. Which is still a 35 minute bus ride from Cork City. We read her description, which sounded very nice and had no mention that it was in County Cork and not Cork City, all it said was “in Cork.” At the very bottom of her page (not the description itself) she has her exact address, however as a tourist reading this description, we figured it was an address in the city of Cork as her description had led us to believe. We had volunteer plans in the city of Cork that we had to attend and so we couldn’t stay in the small town of Dromina, which is where her apartment actually was, which was also not mentioned in the description. It’s not mentioned that her apartment and entire town of Dromina doesn’t have wifi, so booking another accommodation was extremely difficult. It’s also not mentioned that there is no bus service going into this town, so as tourists we were lost and stranded in the neighbouring town, with no way of actually getting to our accommodation. The town is so small that we had trouble finding it on maps, and got off at the nearest bus stop, which was still two hours away on foot and that was our only option as we didn’t have a car. We stayed only one night and left the next morning. We had booked in for 5 nights, she gave us less than half of our money back and refused a full refund for the four nights remaining, stating it was our fault. She argued with me when I tried explaining simple steps she could take to avoid this in the future. She actually told me i’m not the first tourist this has happened to, yet still refuses to change her listing

Not far from Cork City if you want to explore the city or a few mins from Charleville town for all you need but in a peaceful location for a great night's sleep. Very comfy bed and living room furniture. Highly recommend and look forward to staying there again.
