Guest Reviews
- Elizabeth (9/5): Stylish and comfy boat stay in a great location! - The barge is charming, comfortable and on a great location. The host was friendly and communicative. We really enjoyed the experience of staying on the canal. Nothing!
- Stefan (10/5): Ein unvergessliches London Erlebnis an bester Lage. - Küche, Wohnraum und Sonnendeck 😘 sind genial und der Ofen war schon eingeheizt.👍🏼
- Kim (9/5): A wonderful experience to start our UK holiday. - The location was perfect, short walk to Paddington and a couple of good eateries and pubs on the canal side. The bed was the most comfortable we have experienced although a bit of a scramble off for the person on the far side. The camping style toilet took a bit of getting used to but no problem and just added to the charm! Only the toilet, but perfectly adequate for our needs.

- Johannes (10/5): - An oasis in the middle of London, very special and relaxing to live and sleep in the boat. Boat very comfortable and well equipped. Very nice, green, natural and at the same time vivid and urban sorrounding. As a family, we enjoyed it a lot!

- Kye (10/5): - The host was very accommodating and replied to messages straight away. The barge was clean, tidy and made a nice change.

- Natalie (10/5): Amazing stay and experience - Everything! Loved the window that opens and able to feed the birds! Not having a TV, although we had a great time without one!
- Amanda (10/5): Little Venice Adventure- 10/10! - Friendly and helpful owners. Clean, bright, modern barge. So warm, very comfortable bed, excellent shower and very well equipped (kitchen/hairdryer/iron/board games/fridge items). Thank you, we had the best time! Nothing, it was wonderful.
- Miles (9/5): Fantastic luxury in Little Venice - Beautifully appointed with very nice decor. The bed was very cosy loved getting the fire roaring.
- Paul (10/5): - Friendly and timely communication. The barge is really close to Paddington and everything you need is nearby, easy to explore the rest of London.
Loved going to sleep in the city and waking to the tranquility of the resident coots and ducks, before a short stroll to the cafe boat a few minutes along the canal.
Nothing beats getting back to a burner and warm boat in the best city! Leaving ☹️
- epaule (8/5): séjour agréable et hébergement original - Le couchage n'est pas adapté pour 4 personnes.
- lia (10/5): Great little stay! - Perfect little getaway!
Host really informative and easily contactable. Loads of boats on the path for eating / drinking and close to the station
- Andreia (10/5): Amazing New Year experience. - The entire feel was astounding. The attention to detail and tasteful decoration, big or small gave the entire barge so much character. As with everyone, the wood burner was just amazing. We would love to come and experience it in the summer :D we also went to the Italian restaurant that you had recommended and it was incredible.
Maria cleaned everything for us was a pleasure to meet her, she made us feel very welcome. Thank you Maria.
Unbelievable taste with decoration, detail and the bread with the coffee made all the difference. The bed, pillows we're amazingly comfortable. I felt at home. Thank you so much. Can't wait to go back. There wasn't much to dislike at all. Perhaps some kind of slippers would be lovely?
- Rebecca (9/5): Amazing property in a great location. Helpful host. - Excellent location for a stay a little different to normal.
- Kathleen (9/5): Fantastic -
- McLaren (8/5): Novel - I loved the set up of the boat. Good location and fun to stay in Sadly the fireplace had a broken glass door. We lit a fire it we couldn’t control the smoke and so all of our clothes ended up stinking of smoke. This was a real shame as the fire was one of the things I was most looking forward to.
- Dirk (10/5): Comfy & cosy in the heart of London - Amazingly comfortable Lodging with a manual
- McCowen-Smith (9/5): A great unusual stay that offers a lot if you dont mind a few small compromises. - Excellent location. Peaceful and relaxing escape in the heart of the city. Easy to use kitchen that was well equipped. Some superb bread and butter on arrival. The toilet was a bit of a challenge, and the main lounge furniture was not that comfortable.
- Toni (10/5): -
- Sarah (10/5): Wonderful and unique stay. - This is a beautiful and unique place to stay and just excellently located, comfortable, and extremely well equipped. The shower was lovely and hot and the bed comfy and warm. Sam and Marie were both super kind and helpful too. Would love to stay here again! LOVED the log fire and the extensive facilities for cooking and WiFi.
- Hayley (10/5): Brilliant & Quirky - I loved everything about the property, it was centrally located and very tasteful. The bed was wonderfully comfortable. I only wish we had been able to stay longer to appreciate the barge more. The hosts were approachable and left some little treats for us - thank you . Nothing not too like, I enjoy a TV but knew it didn’t have one and booked anyway.
- Alex (7/5): 1 night Stay - Location and uniqueness Noise based on location
Price - more comfort and facilities could be had in a hotel for the same cost.
- Charlie (9/5): - Beautiful place to stay in a great location.
- Calcote (10/5): -
- Oliver (9/5): -
- Kirsty (9/5): Beautiful place, great location, would come back again - It was a lovely unique stay. The barge was in great condition and location was perfect. Would definitely recommend to others All good
- laura (9/5): - Spotlessly clean Hand pump toilet
- Clare (9/5): - Interior abd location The noise at night and the sofa bed wasn't comfortable.
- Paula (10/5): Quirky, fun and unusual place to stay that was just perfect! - The barge is beautifully decorated inside and out! The deck chairs on the roof in the sunshine made it particularly special! Sam the host was great with communication and had great instructions on how to use everything. The location was amazing and the barge is fully stocked with everything you could need.
- Sylvia (10/5): Einen schöneren Beginn und ein entspannteres Ende für die Erkundung dieser gigantischen Lieblingsstadt kann man sich gar -
- Elaine (9/5): Loved our stay especially sitting up top having breakfast in the sunshine. - Ideal location for Hyde Park When the weather is really hot there is no fans

- Jackie (9/5): Superb -
- Vicky (10/5): Exceptional - The canal is a brilliant place to stay. Didn’t get any hassle from passer by’s the walk along the canal was very safe.
The bedding in the barge was the best pillows I’ve ever slept on! Nothing
- Deborah (10/5): Amazing, wonderful, we’ll be back! - A little piece of heaven. We arrived to a warm welcome from Sam and Sarah. The barge is gorgeous, inside and out, In a perfect location.

- Hilton (8/5): Loved it although a little expensive - Everything was just lovely Struggled a little with enough hot water for 2 showers
- Rosie (10/5): Perfect. Highly recommend. -
- Rob (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely cosy, central, lovely touch with bread, honey, jam and eggs. Log burner was a blessing in December. Sam was in touch and easy to get hold of for any questions and queries. Thank you Sam and staff for a lovely stay.
- Rob (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kerensa (10/5): Exceptional - Nothing
- Rachel (9/5): Wonderful - Ideal location. Home from home feel Only the loo and that wasn’t even too much of an issue
- Chris (10/5): Perfect experience, we just both loved it. - We loved our stay in the barge. It is very close to Paddington, but in the peaceful location of Little Venice. Opening the window in the morning and seeing the ducks was lovely. There are lots of restaurants nearby. Try the Garden Centre for breakfast. Prince Alfred for great food and it's quirky layout. Walk the canal to Portobello Rd, but make sure you go to the Golborne Rd part at the top. Its a hidden gem..... You can also walk the other way on the canal to Regents Park and onwards to Camden Market. So it's a lovely barge, good location, quiet at night, and the owner is very helpful and will do everything she can to make your stay a wonderful experience. Cannot wait to book again. It was all fantastic
- Jon (10/5): Great, different location option within London. - Location was very good. Just a couple of minutes from Paddington, but felt like you were out of the city. Easy walking access to Regent's Park along the canal. Excellent facilities on the barge itself, particularly for cooking. Nothing negative to say.
- Martina (10/5): Exceptional - The barge is beautifully decorated and equipped, also very central. Our host Sam was very hospitable and provided some bread, eggs and milk on arrival. We could always contact her when necessary. We'd love to come back!
- Mark (8/5): Sam was lovely, the boat is in a great area - Lovely location
Very scenic & quiet
Close to trains
Lots of choice of cafes & restaurants nearby The weather was poor so didn't get to have the outdoor experience of sitting & watching the world go by
- Victoria (10/5): Perfect weekend of quaint lovliness! - Such a cute little barge, furnishings and amenities were perfect and everything had been thought of. Nothing, it was fantastic.
- Sarah (9/5): Superb - Location great. Food provided was good. Appreciated the tea and coffee. Good quality bedding and towels Oven glove needed
Lack of Info on oven symbols, we had to do an internet search
- Tajana (10/5): Exceptional - This was a great experience and I will definitely stay again. Sam is a very friendly and good host. Nothing to dislike.
- Anne (10/5): The best place to stay in the city - This is a lovely place to stay in London. We already had plans for most of our short visit, but wish we had added on an extra day to explore Little Venice. It's lovely to wake up to see swans and coots gliding by - it's close to the centre of the city but we felt miles away. The barge is very well laid out and has all the facilities we needed, more than we expected. Sam was a very responsive host and greeted us with a lot of helpful information (and a generously filled fridge). We would love to stay again for longer some time.
- Mark (10/5): Brilliant -
- Carol (10/5): Loved this unique gem! Clean, spacious, waterfront city and great for our family with an 8 year old who could be mostly - Gorgeous barge. Easy friendly warm welcome. Spacious. Full kitchen. London-themed Monopoly and other games. Rooftop seating. Perfect canal water view. Easy walk to shops, restaurants, and subway as well as to the stop for canal boat trips to Camden. The sounds of the city were largely muffled and replaced by waterfowl swimming by and relatively quiet passersby. Well worth paying a little more for so much more exclusivity. Nothing to dislike. Minor hiccup with range ignition solved by bumming a lighter off a passerby. Boat toilet was a boat toilet, but you’re a block from a great friendly pub with both toilets and beer, so choices are available. (Also the boat shower was great.) Probably not for toddlers as it’s a real boat in the canal on real water and would not be relaxing unless you stay inside with the doors shut. But if you do, then it’s still great.
- Sallyann (9/5): Superb - Location was perfect, central and close to Public Transport. We were able to park our car free of charge across the weekend.
Breakfast was great though we didn't eat the eggs. The fire pit upstairs, the deck chairs and view across the main Pond of Little Venice. Missing barrier across the entrance. Public walked onto the Barge without permission(initial). Hot water system seemed to be lethargic? Lack of barrier railing up on deck was a little bit disconcerting
