- Tara (10/5): Best place to experience the Khasi farm life. - It is the perfect homestay to experience how the Khasi people live traditionally. The host, Kitborlong and his family welcomed and took care of us like family guests. They live in a traditional Khasi Hut (exquisite and rare) with a sloping thatch roof, surrounded by natural beauty - including two waterfalls within their property! The accommodation has been made in the same traditional khasi style (by the host and his father who is one or few remaining experts who have that knowledge) with modern amenities for the comfort of the guests. The roof of the homestay hut from within and outside is a work of art. It has all the comforts travellers look for in a homestay with the added bonus of tasty home-cooked (mostly homegrown) food. Our 5 year old son enjoyed the feel of living in a sprawling farm with a loving Khasi family, feeding chickens and star gazing. If you enjoy star gazing - it is a perfect spot with clear night sky and a wide view. It was a wholesome experience, and we would recommend it as a must do while travelling at leisure in Meghalaya.
- Tarun (10/5): Worth stay - Location is bit inside but in the lap of nature. This is single room available with homestay can accomodate 4 people, and such a good host they will serve you home made good food.
