Guest Reviews
- Owen (9/5): - Basically everything the host is great and the place was perfect for a break away The gate
- Linda (8/5): Cute place - Nice and compact A microwave would have been nice
- Karen (9/5): Super cosy Cottage - would definitely return! - Aisling was a super host, very helpful and always at the end of the phone. Cottage and Hideaway were very warm and cosy. We really appreciated the stove after long days in the cold and rain. On top of this we had our horses stabled on site. I was also very thankful that I could have my mascot collie Milo with me. Super location - within 20 mins of Cavan Equestrian Centre , Cavan town centre and local shops. Thank you Aisling. We would definitely book again.
- Leanne (10/5): A peaceful tranquil space, a wonderful restoration keeping a link to old Ireland in a delicate manner. - Beautifully decorated and as we also booked the cottage it allowed for all family members to stay comfortably in the same location. Nothing
- Krzysztof (8/5): - A beautiful, quiet place perfect to stay and relax
- William (10/5): Perfect retreat - A perfect retreat away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, but close enough to everyday amenities. Aisling was a perfect host, and on hand, if required. Information leaflets about the Cavan area were available in the cottage.

- Collins (9/5): Beautifully restored property in a lovely part of the country, a hidden gem. - Lovely warm welcome from the owner who is very accessible and shared local information and knowledge that was very helpful.
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional - Thank you for a lovely stay at Toddy’s Hideaway. Clean and comfortable and suited my needs perfectly.
- Clare (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sharon (10/5): I loved being at the Hideaway. Perfect for one or a couple. Larger cottage on the property would suit family. - I wanted to immerse myself in the Irish countryside and I wanted to have some rest and quiet reflection about ancestors who came from this area as well as to go to Dublin for the day to see a friend and go to the theatre. There was nothing I didn’t like. Owner of the property went out of her way to look after me and help me negotiate transport. Having a car to get around would have been sensible.
- Mcbride (10/5): Good weekend, very convenient - So cosy. We stayed there 2 nights and were given the right amount of information prior to our stay about the location, how to get in and how to turn heating on and the facilities are all you need. They left us bread, milk, eggs, juice and other essentials etc and it’s not far from Ballinagh where you can get anything else you may need. Great weekend The shower. There’s no tray for the shower so the water goes everywhere. Don’t take showers for more than 2-3 mins.
- Declan (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful cosy place to stay Bed might need a new mattress

- Margaret (10/5): It was a sad occasion but fantastic to have this hideaway to go to to rest and restore - The location was amazing. I’d walked by this cottage and the Hideaway many times but going inside was something else . Just gorgeous.
Aisling left some groceries - fresh country eggs, juice, tea/coffee, milk, bread, biscuits … all of the essentials to get started.
Absolutely loved it and showed it off to all who would come and look in the door! See above - absolutely nothing !
- Stewart (10/5): Excellent time and will be sure to return in the future. - Location was fantastic. Views of the countryside, cows in the field and local farms. Beautiful walks around the cottage.

The host was amazing. Loads of information before we stayed. Simple check-in and check-out. We had bread, milk, cakes and biscuits waiting for us. Also, we left something small but important in the apartment and the host sent it down to us straightaway.
I would stay there again in a heartbeat. I can’t think of a single thing
