- Andrews (8/5): Big Sky Race Week 2025 - Are the beds were a huge improvement from last year There’s nothing really not to like. For what you pay and where you’re at. It’s a great place.
- Frank (7/5): Nothing fancy but fair price and value. - Good value for the price. Train noise is always an issue in any town along the Hi-Line. Staff was helpful and friendly. The room was adequate and clean. Train noise
- Zack (8/5): -
- Vance (10/5): -
- Amanda (6/5): - When we arrived, the heat wasn't working. Called the front desk, and he said he would have to reset the boiler. Heat still didn't come on, so therefore, there was no heat and no hot water the next morning
- Leo (8/5): -
- Jeffrey (5/5): Adequate. - There was no breakfast provided. I did appreciate the "rag bag" - saving rags to clean up messes so towels wouldn't be stained. The towels were fluffy. Bathroom was very small.
- Sizemore (7/5): -
- david (7/5): - Nice town Grungy with flies
- Courtney (10/5): The perfect motel on the way to Glacier National Park! - The hospitality was exceptional! Very friendly checkin and was kind enough to provide ice when requested for a sprained ankle.
The shower was hot and the beds were comfy!
The location is prime time as it’s only 4.5hrs from Glacier National Park!
There are a couple of museums nearby if you are looking to explore Malta, and a tasty pizza place conveniently close.
The motel’s mascot Leo provided an extra bonus as this sweet cat greeted us each time we went outside!
All in all it was an exceptional stay!

- Morgan (6/5): Pleasant -
- Tom (7/5): Just stayed one night, good value for the money. - Easy to get to and convenient. AC worked well and fairly quiet.
- Brittany (6/5): Affordable but could use updating - It was close to food (within walking distance). The shower in our room didn’t work very well! It was really hard to find a happy medium between temperatures and you felt cramped.
- Joni (7/5): Good - Nice sized room, double queen beds, with a couple chairs and small desk. Mid-sized mini fridge, microwave, air conditioning and no weird odors. Older motel, updated but showing some wear.
- Bethany (10/5): Great value, wonderful place! - Room nice & clean, beds comfortable, staff very friendly, great location. Nothing!
- Lonni (3/5): Poor -
- Jeffrey (8/5): Very good -
- Steven (8/5): Very good - Good location. Close to food. Safe quiet.
- Meredith (7/5): A decent place. Clean makes up for alot! - It was clean and the beds were comfortable. There was a microwave and fridge. Could use updating and more maintenance.
- John (7/5): Good -
- Terryl (5/5): Passable - Place was clean, however it is time for some upgrades. Too close to the railroad,
Chairs were un comfortable, room was too small.
- Melesa (2/5): Would like to see many improvements. - Bathtub was so moldy. Poor water pressure. Could shower because the water hardly came out. The plug for the shower did not work. Had to use a wash cloth to try to fill the tub. Pillows were flat and wrapped in plastic or something so they were loud to sleep on. Fridge stopped working so nothing stayed cold. - Garth (3/5): Do not stay hear with railroad so close - Comfy bed In a motel that was mostly empty I was placed next to a younger couple that were having a good time until after midnight. I could have been one room further away and had a better night. The real problem is that the motel is right across the street from a busy railroad. Woke up to trains al night.
- Christenson (8/5): Very good -
- Charles (8/5): Very good -
- Michael (8/5): Very good -
- Jim (8/5): Very good -
- Terry (8/5): Very good -
- Ann (7/5): Good -
- Susan (8/5): Good for a short stay - Convenient on our way and had television ability to watch wnba. Had a fridge Didn’t find ice machine
- Lawrence (6/5): It was adequate for a one night stay. - Very small bathroom, no ice machine.
- John (10/5): Exceptional - Located right on the main highway. Friendly staff and easy access. Great spot for sportsmen.
- George (10/5): Exceptional - Definitely a roadside motel from a bygone era that while showing some age, is also being slowly remodeled. Even though our room was one of the "older" rooms it was fresh, clean and perfect for comfortable nights sleep and a shower before getting back on the road. Dont know what the concerns about trains were about, we didnt hear a thing!
- Robert (6/5): Pleasant - The beds were not comfortable. The refrigerator did not work.
- Nancy (8/5): Room was clean and owner was very nice and working to upgrade facilities - Good location, nice refrigerator and microwave They are working on renovating but we got an older room
- Gary (3/5): They are trying. Hard to do much with the old motel. Main highway and railroad close so quite noicey - No breakfast available. It was a place to spend the evening.
- Oliver (8/5): Convenient, good price and friendly owners! - Very welcoming staff that care and the location was convenient. One of the more affordable places between Montana and North dakota. Pet friendly too There was dog food and other bits under the radiator, so it could've been cleaner!
- David (6/5): Pleasant - It is admirable that the young couple who own the motel are trying to update and upgrade it. The frequent number of trains throughout the night (the track is across the road) do not make for a restful sleep. Nor do the bright lights from the train depot.
Unfortunately, we could not get the shower to work or the plug for the bath, so washing ourselves was difficult.
- Brian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Catherine (9/5): Good overnight stop - Yiu can tell they are working away to renovate this motel. New paint, new carpet, nice sheets & comforter, and fluffy towels. The fridge & microwave are appreciated too. Two easy chairs & a small desk. Also, a wall a/C unit to keep the room cool.
Especially liked the bucket of older towels to use for removing makeup or even cleaning your shoes.
Street was not too noisy at night. Also, I did not hear the trains at night. Shower curtain needs to be washed or replaced.
- Jamie (6/5): No frills, bed, bathroom and mini fridge, good value to rest and go - Mini fridge, coffee maker and microwave, comfortable bed, not many choices for dinner in the area-ended up at stretches for burgers which was good and the hitching post for breakfast which was great Very rough condition, old carpet, cracked tile in bathroom with some water/mildew/hard water stains, outdated-needs tlc. Definitely a ‘sportsman’s’ place-my husband liked it as it reminded him of hunting trips with his dad and grandpa. Leave the wife home is my advice
- Dewey (8/5): Very good -
- Eric (8/5): Clean, basic motel. lots of towels, nice two bedroom room we got. Good value. Friendly and helpful staff. I recommend th -
- Daryl (7/5): Good -
- James (10/5): Great value and a solid place to stay. - For the price, it's just about impossible to beat the value at this hotel. The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The shower worked well. The TV worked well. Really, there was nothing to dislike about this hotel and I would recommend it to anyone else traveling through the area. Nothing to dislike.
- Kenneth (7/5): Good - did not eat breakfast
location ok smell in the room
- Michael (9/5): Superb - Convenient, great value, friendly owners No problem
- Donna (6/5): Pleasant - Fix the shower on knob. Beds were comfortable.
- John (10/5): Exceptional -
- George (10/5): Exceptional -
- Haan (8/5): Very good -
- Mark (7/5): Great value and the staff was great! - Location was great. I could walk to a few eating places but, as always, I went to Dairy Queen.
- Frank (6/5): Pleasant - Location and cleanliness Bathroom needs remodeling. Update fixtures, mostly.
- Charles (7/5): Good -
- Eberly (10/5): Exceptional -
- James (5/5): Passable - Train activity was pleasing, I wish they'd have used their horn more. We couldn't hear the trains because the air conditioner was so loud.
- John (6/5): Pleasant -
- Crystal (9/5): Superb -
- Stacy (8/5): Very good - Family atmosphere.
- Lloyd (10/5): Exceptional - Good value. Good location
- Nancy (7/5): Good night’s stay for the price. - Friendly, helpful staff. Affordable. Good location. They are trying to upgrade this old motel sand I appreciate that. But they have a ways to go.
- Huft (8/5): Very good -
- Dondi (10/5): Malta - It was close to everyone I was visiting and it was clean and owners were great!!! Beds could be more comfortable.
- Gordon (7/5): Good -
- Christian (6/5): Bad - On the road Very noisy because near the railroad and the road. Approximative cleanliness. Too much expensive for the service.
- Levi (10/5): Excellent room at an excellent price, great location if you’re on the Hi-Line. Will stay again. - The owners are doing a great job of rehabilitating an older motel. It was clean and comfortable and I could see that the rooms were being improved. The location is excellent and the water was fresh and clean smelling, unlike some lodging in the area. It’s next to the road and the railroad, so it’s not the quickest location. Likewise, it’s a classic motel so you get the pros and cons inherent in the design.
- Judith (10/5): I got some well needed sleep! - The Lady was Friendly and answered all of my questions. There was a place for me to park with the UHaul Trailer. There were plenty of towels and the bed was lovely and comfortable.
- Karla (8/5): Very good -
- Spencer (8/5): Very good - We used this as a place to stay on a hunting trip, worked great as a base. You can hear through the walls to some degree but I have stayed chain hotels were it was worse. I would stay here again.
- Justin (10/5): Exceptional - It was a comfortable place to stay, oven, stove, microwave, and big refrigerator/freezer. There was cooking utensils that were provided, which was nice to be able to cook a meal. I will definitely be staying there again anytime I’m in Malta.
