Guest Reviews
- Josie (8/5): Very pleasant would stay again - Nice and clean and very cosy A few spiders but that’s a given
- Andrea (1/5): Total ripoff and high recommendation scores must be false - This was a disgrace as we didn’t receive the final booking details and couldn’t access the property. The details finally arrived late on the 14th April by which time we had booked and paid elsewhere therefore this cost us double what it should have been. The owner was very rude. Booking.com robot didn’t understand anything then dropped the call three times when supposedly trying to connect to customer services. The property was awful from the outside looking into algae covered supposed chalets but more like dilapidated shacks. Site very uncared for.
- Timothy (10/5): Thoroughly enjoyed our stay - impressively appointed and renovated chalet. - Everything! Beautifully decorated in excellent condition. Everything you could possibly need. We stayed a long weekend. Such a comfortable bed! Smart TV allowed us to watch channels we'd never heard of as well as catch up. You can sign into your subscriptions. When we raised a minor issue with the caretaking company, it was sorted immediately. Very impressed indeed and will certainly stay again if we have the opportunity. All instructions supplied were precise and accurate.
If you stayed a week you might miss the absence of a washing machine but there's a launderette in Dartmouth town. Only 2 of us so we had enough room for storing our case and bags. Small wardrobe space but plenty of cupboards and drawers. Disadvantage: The chalet is at end of a long path. It's at the nearest end of the final block of 3 or 4 chalets in the "terrace". Not difficult to find at all in daylight but the path to it is not lit at night Only a few chalets had lights that automatically turned as you walked past. Had we first arrived in the dark it might not have been so easy to find, even though the instructions are perfect. It's a straight path once you leave the car park though. Don't be put off by that. The quality of the decoration, furnishing and details make up for that slight inconvenience.
Advantage of locattion: The good thing about that is that you are in a quiet location with very few people passing and no disturbance.
- paul (10/5): Fantastic - Absolutely fantastic Clean and a lot of time as bin taken to get it right gives you everything you need for your holiday and a relaxing place to sit in the evening and watch TV
- Lee (10/5): - Very clean chalet, everything is new.
Good kitchen appliances.
- Phillip (9/5): Lovely little chalet, ideal for a quiet stay - Lovely and quiet, nice clean, new utensils and kitchen.
- Caroline (7/5): It was very good. A cork screw would have been useful. - NA A Dyson type hover. It was hard to keep the floor clean.
- Lynne (10/5): Lovely little chalet - The Chalet was lovely very clean indeed and the furnishings were of a high standard. Will definitely book again The only thing we were concerned about was that there was a dog next door that was allowed to roam outside and it was aggresive and went for myself and also another lady on a different day. I have a dog which was always on a lead when outside
- Anonymous (10/5): One small problem, no telly remote but resolved by helpful contact within a couple of hours. Very helpful and efficient. - Brightness, not cluttered.
Location.
Quiet. Nothing.
- Cary (9/5): Clean, lovely decor, relaxing, quiet, safe & economical. - Clean, well decorated with lovely furniture. Great kitchen which was easy to cook in self catering. There is even an Nespresso coffee machine, shower was hot & a good water pressure. Bath towels were provided & tea towels. Tea/Coffee/Milk starter packs were provided. Wifi worked perfectly.
It felt like a luxury hotel room when inside & had pleasant views. It was very quiet with some nice trees/friendly residents. Very dog friendly walks nearby.
Sainsburys & Lidl & a post office/BP garage are 5 mins drive from this holiday campsite. As I was recovering from surgery/partially sighted I found the small size of the chalet was perfect for my needs to rest in a way I couldnt have done at home. It isnt lit up on the car park or path to the chalet at night so a torch is essential & footwear with non slip soles as there are some steep slopes as the holiday campsite is on top of a hill near Dartmouth/Stoke Flemming. The TV wasnt useable as the remote was absent sadly but we enjoyed using our laptop/tablet/headphones to watch movies, etc. A washing machine would have been useful as we stayed a week & had alternating blazing sun & torrential rain.
