- Catherine (9/5): Modern, clean, airy accommodation with an outstanding view of the bay - Amazing view and great lay out for relaxing together Very picky but although they left tea bag’s and some fantastic fudge and milk there was no salt or pepper and a few pods for the coffee machine would have been welcome.
More hooks for hanging stuff in the bedrooms and hall or utility would be good too.
The walk back up. The hill from the town is pretty hard core - I’m glad I wasn’t pushing the push chair! Can’t really blame the property for this!
- Nick (7/5): Incredible view but some areas let the property down a little. - Great location above Woolacombe and wonderful view across the bay. However the accommodation had a few problems that had not been properly maintained before we arrived which, although fixed when we asked, was dissapointing. The 10am checkout is very severe as most booking.com places would give at least an 11am checkout but I knew this in advance and I still made the booking. We had some issues with the property including a broken blind and shower door that wouldn't shut so water flooded the upstairs bathroom. These were fixed on the same day when I emailed the managing company but along with garden areas and entrance that hadn't been swept or tidied, dead plants outside (nobody seemed to be taking care of the outside areas) and loose rubbish around the bin and parking area outside, the overall impression was one of neglect of some parts of the property. As I said, they came and fixed things when we asked which we were appreciative of, but these things should have been noticed when the property was cleaned before we arrived. For the price charged all these details should be taken care of as soon as they happen and it gives the impression that the managing company might be letting the view do all the work for them. We still had a really good stay but its all about the detail.
