• sharon (10/5): Great spot for visiting ruins - This is a great spot for visiting the ruins at Herculeum. The room itself was very spacious and pleasant. The room was on the fourth floor, and with no elevator, this could be problematic for some elderly travelers.

• Sarah (10/5): Wonderful accommodation in Ercolano - Outstanding service, beautiful room with the perfect view of the ocean looking across to Naples. Comfortable beds, very clean and everything provided. Our host was amazing, he collected us from the airport and pointed out many useful things as we drove to the apartment. He also drove us back to the airport, at an extremely good rate. Very short walk down to Herculaneum, lots of lovely cafes and bars close by. Best stay of our trip in Italy. There was nothing we didn't like.

• Maria (10/5): Un soggiorno eccellente! - Abbiamo apprezzato moltissimo il nostro soggiorno a Villa Gagliozzi. La posizione è stata perfetta: situata in una zona tranquilla, frequentata da gente del posto, il che ci ha fatto sentire davvero immersi nella vita locale. Nelle immediate vicinanze abbiamo trovato ottime pizzerie e una pasticceria davvero deliziosa. Siamo stati molto vicini agli scavi di Ercolano, facilmente raggiungibili a piedi, e anche le spiagge della zona – con sabbia vulcanica nera – ci hanno sorpresi piacevolmente. La casa era pulitissima, dotata di aria condizionata, Netflix sulla TV (ottimo per rilassarsi la sera!) e prodotti da bagno in confezioni grandi – non i soliti flaconcini mini da hotel – una cosa che abbiamo trovato davvero utile. La nostra host è stata gentilissima e molto disponibile, ha risposto sempre rapidamente e ci siamo sentiti davvero ben accolti. Unica cosa da tenere a mente: l’appartamento si trova al terzo piano senza ascensore, quindi per chi ha difficoltà con le scale potrebbe non essere l’ideale. Ma per noi non è stato affatto un problema.

The room is super well located to visit the archeological site, or go to Naples/Pompeii by train (10 minutes walking from the train station), the view and the sunset from the balcony are stunning, the room is clean and beautifully decorated. Cherry on the cake: Giuliano was super flexible and nice and that made our stay very special :) /

Also, offered to carry my luggage up and downstairs without hesitation! Second: quiet location, short walk into centre and train station nice spacious bedroom and ensuite. Vista of Capri was stunning from bedroom. Allowed to store my luggage after check out, thank you! A suggestion, maybe some darker blinds in bedroom .

There is also a private parking space in case you don't feel like letting your car be parked by the road. The rooms were clean and the bed comfortable. I missed a coffee machine in the room. There was one to share among 3 rooms. And the tea box was almost empty.

• Sharon (7/5): Comfortable and quiet. A bit off the beaten track if you dont want to stay right in Naples - High up the hill so great views over the water. Lovely sunsets. Decently close to the train station. Quiet at night so easy to get a good nights sleep. Window curtain didn’t cover the entire window and blocked out no light. Had to sleep in a face mask. No kleenex / tissues provided and only one roll of toilet paper and we had head colds, so we had to message the property each day for more TP. They were good about bringing us some when asked. Bed squeaked.

• Rachael (10/5): Beautiful view of the bay of Naples - Spacious room, nicely appointed, large and comfortable bed, beautiful view of the bay of Naples. Giuliano was easy to reach, friendly, and accomodating. If you are visiting the ruins, it’s nice to spend the night since sometimes you can visit the parco archeologico at night. I highly recommend this lodging.

• Ludovic (10/5): Thank you Giuliano, for everything :-) - The place is comfortable, clean, the location is perfect to go to the Vesuvio and the ruins of Herculanum. And Giuliano is such a nice host. I had a problem with one of my kids, he drove us to the hospital and stayed with us, to make sure the doctors would understand us. He can also drive you to the Vesuvio, for much cheaper thant tour operators. Well, sure I do recommend any traveller to stay at the Villa Gagliozzi. Nothing. It was just perfect.
