- Martin (10/5): Great rooms good value for money, not huge rooms but all you need - Really great little place nice pub next door fairly friendly staff and good food it’s out the way from anywhere else quite peaceful. There is a Kids play area not that that I took mine they’re too old to play on it now! Just for reference for others It’s quite close to the road if you’re a light sleeper, take ear plugs didn’t bother me much. I was very tired and good TV.

- Terence (8/5): Good in part's. Staff need sorting with room cleaning. - Very good motel style accommodation. Hare and Hound pub doesn't open for breakfast but you can phone an order to nearby fishing lake cafe for good quality inexpensive food to takeaway or eat in at Wild Boar cafe. Dogs have to stay in car though and only open Friday to Sunday. Attitude of cleaner. Room wasn't ready at 2pm arrival (Stated check in time and room hadn't been cleaned and prepped! He argued that because we had a dog, check in wasn't until 6pm and we were told that on booking. Not true and manager sorted it).
3 cleaning staff and only 9 rooms to prepare after 11am check out time so they should be able to do all of them in 3 hours between them bit they seem to take all day and keep disappearing.
Poor staff management.

- RON (10/5): - Great idea key in the key safe. There's no need to see anyone. This is the third stay and the staff in the pub are very helpful if you need anything.
- Peter (9/5): Great value for money - Room was clean, smart and well equipped and milk and snack machine on site which was great Water was not drinkable and only two small bottles provided. No human contact.
- Andrew (8/5): - Comfortable room. Convenient. Shame the pub doesnt do a breakfast.
Had noisy neighbours butcthats the lucknof the draw I suppose.
- Claire (9/5): -
- Robert (10/5): - Exceeded All good

- Debbie (10/5): -
- Hannah (6/5): - Room itself was very clean, clear instructions, good value Room smelt very badly of smoke and attempted to cover up with very cheap air freshener which just make it worse
- Kathryn (8/5): Compact rooms. Everything at hand. - Didn’t see any staff so can’t comment on them. Somewhat compact rooms but clean. Unable to empty sink in room 4 and tap moving when trying to turn it on. Maybe an option for a dim light at night…..instead of putting on bathroom light on with fan.
- sharon (7/5): ok for one night - nice room staff ok but need to be trained more

- Joanne (10/5): Great stay - We had such an amazing stay at Shenstone Lodges! Everything was spotless, super cozy, and beautifully decorated. The bathroom was especially stunning, and the king-size bed was incredibly comfortable. Loved having a smart TV with access to Netflix and YouTube too.
It’s also dog-friendly, which made it perfect for celebrating our pup’s 16th birthday 🐾🎉 The location is great for exploring other lovely spots nearby. Such a special getaway we’ll definitely be back!
- E (4/5): - Room and staff were very good It may be pet friendly but there was nowhere suitable to walk dogs, situated on a busy road with only an overgrown verge.
car park was cinder and littered with cans, nails and random pieces of metal.
- Simone (8/5): Brilliant! - Fantastic, clean friendly convent
- Lisa (10/5): Excellent - Great location for our needs

- Sandra (8/5): Excellent stay. Would recommend. - It was excellent value for money. Staff were helpful and friendly. The room was clean and very well equipped. We requested a fridge (none in the room which would be helpful) and one was provided. Would be good to have a toaster too as no breakfast is available at the pub. No breakfast available and the units are not geared up for self catering. However there are some good breakfast options nearby. Pillows were poor.
- KEVIN (7/5): I enjoyed my stay but for the internet - The Chalets were good, staff were very friendly, also food was good Internet in the chalets was not very good

Very convenient.
Be aware. Two pubs with same name. Walls a bit thin . Could hear next door.
No breakfast available Not sure about other meals.
- Julian (10/5): Great and welcoming. Breakfast was good. Great start to the day - Landlord very welcoming, don’t normally leave reviews but she deserves it. TV size

- Robert (10/5): - Room was well decorated & had a big, comfortable bed, lots of parking, pub closeby Nothing
- Darren (9/5): Enjoyable overnight stay - Spacious room with a private entrance.
Nice shower. The bathroom had a strange smell.
- Susan (7/5): Good stay, clean room well worth a visit. - It was a good stay just not that accessible I could not put my scooter in the room this time and struggled to walk to the room.
- Scott (10/5): -
- Moore (10/5): Lovely 1 night stay - Modern, clean, great bathroom, comfortable, convenient location. Main door awkward to lock/ unlock
- Melanie (9/5): Good value for money, clean and comfortable, would definitely recommend. - Perfect little location and the accommodation was all you needed. Clean, comfortable and great value for money. There was a slight smell of cigarette smoke in the room which was off putting but otherwise everything was perfect!

- Christopher (10/5): A short stones throw from perfect - Good people
Good room Could have used a fridge considering the water from the taps not being drinkable
- ann (10/5): Lovely place - We liked everything about shenstone lodge, it is a lovely place to stay. Staff were lovely too, so was the food in the hare and hound.
- malvin (10/5): Amazing property - Great hotel and great rooms, always stay here when I need to attend events and meetings I like it all and nothing bad to say
- danny (9/5): Very nice rooms, clean, modern, great shower - Very nice rooms Nothing
- Scott (7/5): Overall it was a good stay - We liked how quite it all was We didn’t like the fact that we had our room switched to a two single bed when we booked a double the day before we arrived.
- Julian (9/5): - Very quirky property. Nice pub with good food and excellent value for money.

- Gary Luther (8/5): Very good value - Stayed here as I was in the local area for work. As my wife was working I had to bring my dog along. The place was very dog friendly and my dog was allowed everywhere. Room was separate from the main (Hare & Hounds) building. Decent room with everything I needed. Bed was very comfortable. Nice size walk-in shower. No breakfast as Hare & Hounds doesn’t open until 12 but this was reflected in the price which was very reasonable. Evening meal was decent. Plenty space for free parking. All good and would definitely be happy to stay here again. No complaints. All good
- Brooke (10/5): Cosy place. - Cosy room, bed was huge. Nothing - just wished you served breakfast! 😊
- Huw (10/5): Great location, food and staff - Me and my son stayed here on the 20th of February.stayed here before and it’s a great place, clean and tidy.food is also lovely and staff are great.definitely recommend.
Unfortunately you always have inconsiderate people 🤦♂️the couple next door to us came back drunk and was very noisy.then they are having sex not something a 8 year old needs to hear.although that didn’t keep us awake because that only lasted 2 minutes at the most😂we finally got off to sleep gone 11pm and was then been woken up at 8am but yet again was only 2 minutes and they went back to sleep🤦♂️so if you were the guy in lodge 10 you need to find a way to keep the mrs happy for longer than 2 minutes 😂
Maybe try some viagra😂 Great place
- Warren (7/5): Overall good - Rooms were clean and comfy , good shower, A bit noisy next door
- Ellis (10/5): -
- Neha Gopinath (10/5): We would stay here again! - Its a nice stay with self service. No hassle at all. Comfy beds and clean rooms. One of our rooms had a wee leak in the bathroom from the ceiling as well as the light fixture was hanging not properly installed (Room 1).
- Michael (4/5): Modern rooms but bring earplugs! - Rooms were clean and modern. Food wasn't great and the noise coming from the other rooms was unbelievable. Hardly slept all night, wont be returning due to this issue.
- Derek (10/5): -
- andrew (9/5): Perfect for a stopover. Would recommend for a longer stay too - Easy access and convenient for parking close to
- Louann (10/5): -
- Daniel (8/5): -
- Paula (4/5): -
- Jim Thomson (8/5): Great value overnight stop - Dog friendly, ample parking, great shower, next to the pub / restaurant, great price. Bed not particularly comfortable. No breakfast option there or nearby. Coloured floodlights in garden were not on a timer and were annoying at night
- Anne (7/5): A little lacking in the hospitality department… - Quiet, cosy and some pretty decor. Tap water not drinkable - bottled water provided first day but none for subsequent 2 days!
Pub grub not restaurant standard.
- Stylemonkey1979 (10/5): -
- Karolann (10/5): -
- Catherine (10/5): - Really cosy Needs bigger towels
- Sarah (7/5): - Value for money The single beds mattresses cheap felt like sinking in the middle. Pillows very poor. The double bed was great
- Courtney Leigh-Anne (10/5): Lovely cozy comfortable stay - Beautiful area, Very clean and tidy nice and quiet.
Bed was very comfy Only downfall to the property would be there is no fridge I think having a fridge would be very beneficial to people staying.
- Viki (5/5): Sadly due to bad first night I will not stay there again - Very nice lodges, clean and bright. Good facilities Had the neighbours from hell the first night! No sound proofing in the room and could hear everything. They arrived about 11 pm and were EXTREMELY loud and noisy. They did not shut up until gone 2.30 am and I had to get up at 5.30 am. Complained to owner who was sympathetic but too late to do anything. They did leave next door room empty the 2nd night I stayed and it was 100% quieter!!
- Iestyn (9/5): Comforting, relaxing and well worth booking. - Amazing night away, the adjoining pub has great food and drinks with a great beer garden and a really relaxed and lovely vibe with the rooms a stone’s throw away. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, a really great place to stay. Due to the lodges being hot there was a fan available to use and this was a great touch because it was a scorching day, having the fan ensured temperature was regulated. One mattress was really comfortable the other wasn’t as great but it didn’t affect my sleep so it’s not a huge deal.
- Kim (10/5): -
- Barry (10/5): -
- Christopher (10/5): - Great staff.very helpful .The bed . Nothing
- Ayesha (10/5): Amazing - Comfy bed. Lovely design and the bathroom was beautiful all and all a beautiful stay in a beautiful lodge Nothing it was perfect
- Dorrance (10/5): - Relaxed place self check in an realy flexable
- danielle (10/5): -
- Linda (8/5): Weekend away - The pub was very convenient.
The bed was lovely, big and comfortable.
Everything we needed...coffee, hairdryer, etc.
A very comfy, modern lodge that did us very well for 3 nights. Shame about the shower. The shower wasn't working properly. Possibly thermostat broken but it went really hot, really cold and about 20 seconds where I could get wet without being burned or frozen!
Couldn't get key safe to work.
- Leah (7/5): Lovely, Comfortable and Clean Stay! - The property was lovely, clean and very well presented. The bed was very comfortable which is always a big bonus! Super quiet location and though we didn’t use it, the outdoor area was superb, with a lovely safe play area for children. The only downfall and it really is very minor - we had no water in the room. Quite often bottled water may be provided. Since the water from the taps couldn’t be drank as this was not drinking water, it would have great to have a couple of bottled waters.
