Guest Reviews
- Allison (9/5): Delivered on every level. - The views are stunning. Lodge clean and spacious and staff really friendly and helpful. We will definitely book again. We would have loved a dishwasher! But you can have everything and really, everything we needed, was there.
- Jackie (10/5): - The lodge provided everything that we could ask for and more. Plenty of equipment in the kitchen, comfy beds and sofa, light and airy space and the lodge was just 5 mins drive to the beach. Now the views, well let's say it didn't matter if it was a dull day as you could get lost in the views, just outstanding!! Thank you đ There wasn't anything that we didn't like, just advice that maybe the shower in the bathroom needs to be looked at as it tends to wet everything else rather than the person using it, though there is a bath that can be used instead. Ha didn't worry me though as I used the ensuite shower- perfect!
- Walker (10/5): Amazing stay - The lodge was lovely. Light and airy, clean, lovely location. Beautiful view. Nice field so close to walk the dogs. Absolutely loved our stay Nothing absolutely lovely small detail no coffee on arrivaL or kitchen spray or salt and pepper but not major. Would love sun loungers lol.
- Susan (10/5): Wonderful place to stay during our visit to Swanage. - Clean, comfortable, well equipped with wonderful views. The welcome pack of provisions was very generous. Great communication with the staff who were unfailingly friendly, helpful and welcoming đ Nothing to dislike.
- Barry (7/5): Peaceful and relaxing, - The position of Butterfly Lodge, with its view over Swanage, was just perfect. I could sit on the decking and look at the view for days ! The spot was so peaceful and almost therapeutic. The lodge was bright and airy and thoughtfully presented. We would definitely say here again if the need arose. Not sure why, but were under the impression it was a 5ft double bed but it was only a 4ft6in bed - made sleeping for us very difficult. Also the sofa, in our opinion, was more suited to younger people - very deep, low and soft. Being of a slightly more mature age we found it very difficult to be comfortable on and get off of !!!! Wifi consistency not great. The ensuite shower was difficult to get in and out of with quite a narrow door opening.
- Jan (9/5): A good quality stay overall and we totally recommend and will stay there again - A very roomy lodge on a quiet site and with very easy access to fields for dog walking and with a lovely view. The facilities in the lodge were very good and covered all our needs. The single beds are bigger than standard caravans and the supplied bed linen and towels was good quality. We highly recommend a stay here and intend to return ourselves. Whilst the single beds were bigger than expected (it is a roomier lodge), the mattresses are not quality sprung for adult weight so you will notice the difference. But they are better than average and others we have stayed in.
- Mark (10/5): Amazing stay, lovely accommodation and fantastic views - The views across swanage bay was amazing Sofa was not the most comfortable
- Krista (10/5): Brilliant - The view the location. It was very spacious
- Peter (8/5): Very good -
- Sean (8/5): Very good - The airey open-plan layout and wonderful sea views No dishwasher, apart from that, it was fine. We had no need of the washing machine.
Apart from the balcony terrace, there appeared to be no outside space. The green space to the side seemed to belong to the neighbouring property, or did it? I had no way of knowing. This mattered as the terrace faced North to accommodate seaviews but was in shadow from early afternoon.
- Gemma (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ben (6/5): Pleasant - Locationsnd views were lovely and the airy spaciousness of the lounge kitchen of the Lodge. Had good selection of crockery pots and cutlery. Welcome pack could've been bit more stocked. Also, it was my mother's milestone birthday and we were told a bottle of bubbly đž would be included which wasn't so thought that was a little poor. Also, the dynamics of master bedroom were not planned out well. There was a dressing room area but it compromised the space of the already small bedroom to the extent we were both sleeping in a small double bed with soft mattress! The en suite bathroom /shower again not well thought out with the shower very difficult to get in and out.Hooks to hang things on back of doors would also have been welcomed.
- Rodney (10/5): Exceptional -
- Daniel (9/5): Great view - Excellent location. Great view from the terrace. Poor beds and bedding
- Michelle (10/5): Fantastic and would love to return - Location was fantastic for the dogs as there is a beautiful green space a 2 min walk from the lodge. Veranda wasnât very clean.
- Paul (8/5): Quite short stay would be expensive for a longer stay - Quite location. Great view of the bay. It's very hilly so not suitable for all.
Bin collection at 6.30 in the morning when bins under front porch.
- Andrew (9/5): Superb -
- Anne-marie (8/5): Excellent venue and location which with some minor tweaks would be perfect - Location within Swanage and within the overall site was excellent. The attention to detail in terms of supplies and groceries was a lovely touch which made us feel very comfortable and looked after. It was very clean, and comprehensive guide provided. The mattress in the main bedroom was very uncomfortable, which was quite disappointing. The outside light didnât work which did make it difficult to return into the van from a day out at night. Wi-Fi and TV signal was hit and miss which did prevent us from using the TV at times.
- Andrew (8/5): Nice view, nice location just a bit awkward to find. - The view, when it wasnât raining Wi-Fi poor, hot water slow.
- Sarah (10/5): Stunning Views and Fantastic Lodge - The lodge was beautiful well equipped and comfortable with lots of space and storage.
The view was stunning and it was lovely to sit outside. The space around the lodge was nice as was the park. The master bedroom mattress was very soft and springy . The shower wasn't very big but with the doors meeting at the corner it was difficult to get into. There were alot of cobwebs behind the blinds and in high corners.
It's a shame there wasn't a hot tub a proper shop or pool.
- Ruth (9/5): Overall a lovely stay and nice quiet area with great view, over the bay. The small grocery package was a nice touch too. - Great views and spacious The white handled cutlery are too weak to use, so actually only 4 forks and we were a family of 5. The tea bags and sugar were almost empty but we found the extra supply in the cupboard so wasnât a big deal. This is a minor complaint.
