Guest Reviews
- Jamie (10/5): Perfect - What a dream location Can’t say one bad thing about property
- Ian (9/5): Pleasure to stay in a thoughtfully renovated cottage in a beautiful location - The panoramic views from the bedroom , it was warm and cosy and in a beautiful and interesting location Would benefit from a foldable coffee table otherwise perfect!

- Ben (10/5): A really lovely place! -
- Kye (10/5): - Place was spacious clean and comfy bed and sofa. Well maintained looked very new. Stunning view especially would be in the summer. Unable to use log fire due to no logs. Very low ceilings in lounge.

- Louise (8/5): Great view, clean cottage. - Wonderful view, clean property, wood fired stove. The car port was too small for our car so we had to park in the village car park. But this was clearly detailed on the property description so not the host’s fault. We didn’t really like the area of Snailbeach that much but it was easy to get to other places from.
- Rebecca (10/5): Perfect location for walking. - The view from the main bedroom is amazing and there are a huge variety of walks that you can do directly from the cottage. We found a great shop in the next village that you can also walk to and the Snailbeach Lead Mine is very well preserved, we wish we could have stayed for the underground tour. My Mum and I are both small so we were fine with the very narrow staircase and small bathroom but anyone taller and larger would struggle. The second bedroom has no hanging area, drawers or bedside table.

- Rosalind (5/5): Relaxing- meaningful as great grandfather was a miner at this mine. - Very minimal bathroom size sink and shower etc was a bit challenging - similarly stairs. We found footpath to mine felt safer route to property than going along main road. Tried carport but v difficult
- Dave (10/5): A lovely few days in a spectacular location. The perfect get away retreat - little bit tricky to find property in dark but we managed it! View from master bedroom is priceless!
- S. (10/5): Hidden little Gem! - The accommodation is beautiful, well equipped for a few nights stay in quiet little hamlet, surrounded by charming rolling hills. Everything you need for a few nights sleep and designed with a traveller to fully enjoy everything Snailbeach has to offer and views. Would absolutely stay again. Plenty of towels, cutlery. Clean and fresh. The Car Port is tight, even for my Fiat 500, once parked it was fine but on such a narrow lane was difficult to navigate, which weather conditions could hamper. The stairs are narrow and tight, those with limited mobility could struggle. My mother, who is able and 70, found it nerving and needed to be cautious. That being said, it certainly didn't effect the high quality of our stay. Would definitely recommend 100%!

- ade for (6/5): Nice location-requires greater thought - Its geographical location. Owner directions to property unclear, postcode irrelevant. Internal stairway between floors almost an accident waiting to happen. Facing direction of rear of property receives full sun from early pm until sunset and there are no blinds or curtains to diffuse this, except in bedroom. Ancillary items, plates, mugs, kitchenware in general are of the less robust & cheaper variety. Not likely to last continual usage.
Bathroom/shower area is tiny(!). Sink does not have an overflow provision; high likelihood of a flood situation.
- Julia (7/5): Stunning views and nice renovation. Extra storage and kitchen items would be great. - The views were amazing, especially from the main bedroom. Aesthetically the cottage looked very nice and the kitchen, lounge and main bedroom were very spacious.
The cottage is in a great location for walks from the door up to the Stiperstones ridge and village; East ridge woods and the Snailbeach Lead mines.
The cottage was very clean and we appreciated the milk and biscuits that were available for our arrival. We felt that there were a number of things missing from the cottage that made our stay less comfortable, but most of these could be easily rectified:
There was no clothes storage in the second bedroom and no drawers for clothes storage in the main bedroom.
There was very little space to put toiletries in the bathroom. Perhaps you could provide a rack in the shower and shelves above the radiator.
The kitchen could be better equipped with a tea pot, fruit bowl, salad bowl, grater, large saucepan, extra cutting board, working tin opener, grater, 2 extra stools. A table and chairs in the lower garden, plus some plants would also be good.
Some more pictures and books would be great (pictures in the main bedroom were lovely.
- barry (10/5): PERFECTLY PLACED FOR EXPLORING SHROPSHIRE - WHAT A TREAT PERFECT FOR US , FANTASTIC VIEWS AND BRILLIANT ACCOMMODATION
NOT A FAULT TO BE FOUND, CAN WE STAY AGAIN PLEASE
- John (9/5): Superb - A beautiful cottage in a great location. The parking was difficult!!!
- Janice (8/5): My sister and myself were visiting sick relatives in Shrewsbury and this place was stunning but we did find the stairs d - The amazing view and surroundings scenery breathtaking The stairs were a bit precarious but I appreciate they were well done but not suitable for the elderly or disabled.
- Cathy (9/5): Superb -
- Clare (10/5): Highly recommend this beautiful cosy cottage - Beautiful, cosy cottage with incredible views over Shropshire. Ideal for walkers. The cottage has everything you need and a log burner for cosy nights in. Would highly recommend to anyone wishing to explore the Shropshire Hills. All was perfect
- Julie (10/5): Exceptional - The host was very helpful and willing to help sort the problem with the tv remote. Nothing. The cottage was excellent
- Daniel (6/5): Pleasant - There are issues with the property. Fantastic views. Stairs VERY STEEP AND NARROW. potential hazard. little storage for clothes. Only 2 chairs and no table. Bathroom tiny.
- Mercede (10/5): Perfect - This is one of the most beautiful places I have stayed in! The house is perfect and can easily fit two couples, there’s even space for a bbq in the hills Everything! Clean, beautiful, warm and homely
- Rachel (9/5): Superb - Decor was beautiful, well equipped and great to have the basics such as cooking oil, tea, coffee and especially milk. Could have done with a hair dryer, and extra stool so we could all sit and eat at the same time - only the 2.
A info sheet about Snailbeech would be useful.
- Hannah (9/5): Superb -
- Jennifer (8/5): Beautiful views and surroundings, very tight stairs and parking - Very beautiful views. Clean and tidy. The bathroom being downstairs and very narrow staircase
- Ewelina (10/5): Beautiful apartament - I highly recommend this apartment. Clean and everything at a high standard, contact with the owner without problems and very quick at any time. Beautiful apartment with even more beautiful views.
- Mateusz (8/5): Nice cottage, lovely views - Lovely and cosy little house, very helpful and friendly lady owner, perfect location for local hikes, great views, the log burner is a nice bonus...On the negative side the address on Google maps sends you to a wrong location, very difficult to find the place, especially when you arrive late and it's dark, also the place has very low ceilings so you have to lower yourselve when walking on the ground floor, not suitable for taller people. Also, the bathroom is very small with a tiny sink.
- Alex (9/5): Wonderful time, lovely location and view, would stay again -
- William (9/5): Lovely, quiet rural location with wonderful views. - Great views especially with panoramic window in the bedroom No mirror in the shower room made shaving difficult. Mentioned this to proprietor who agreed and said they would provide one.
- Ian (8/5): Comfortable Property with Stunning Views. - Excellent views. Very clean, spacious and airy living areas. Well equipped kitchen and relatively cosy property. Parking is worse than indicated. No mirror apart from a small shaving mirror in the bedroom. Bathroom is more compact than indicated and shower not particularly powerful.
- Esther (9/5): Great Accommodation - Great Accommodation
- Bernadette (10/5): Exceptional - Really lovely cottage in a beautiful location. Owner was brilliant and so accommodating, great communication. Would highly recommend & can't wait to stay again :)
- Donnelly (10/5): Exceptional -
- Clare (10/5): Exceptional - What a stunning cottage 🙂 i would love to live here its a beautiful place, everything is brand new. The views from the bedroom are breathtaking we would defo come back. We would give this cottage 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Everything was perfect.
- Sasha (10/5): Beautiful, idylic and quiet! - Just WOW! This lovely little cottage exceeded all our expectations. The view and location is phenomenal. We were looking for a weekend away from the hustle and bustle of work and general life, a weekend to reset and this place did just that! The layout and decor of the cottage is simple but beautiful at the same time. Also very clean. It has all the facilities you need to accommodate your stay, we will definitely be returning at some point over the next year! Steph the owner prior to us arriving, communicated with us and even put the heating on and offered to start the log burner for us
What a great find, what great value for money! Nothing not to like.
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional - Everything. Had a really lovely couple of days there and the owner was super communicative. Lovely views, great walks, facilities ideal. Can’t wait to come back Nothing!
- George (9/5): Superb - Lovely, modern, and cosy cottage with great views.
- Kacper (10/5): Amazing views away from the city for a very reasonable price - Incredible views for an exceptionally good price.
Very clean and refurbished in a perfect way, felt very much like i was in my own home. there wasn’t a dryer for plates and cutlery, and a mirror in the toilet would be handy for future guests :)
- Shaun (10/5): What a find! - Wow! What a find. Booked last minute and couldn't believe our luck. What an absolutely beautifull little place. The cottage itself has been totally refurbished to a beautifull high standard with oak flooring and doors throughout. Brand new kitchen and appliances with a loveley open plan lounge with the log burner blazing for us as we arrived. Beds were loveley and comfortable and the view from the bedroom balcony was worth waking up for. Everything was fantastic and Steph the host was brilliant. We were made to feel like nothing was too much trouble. Can't rate this cottage high enough. Will definitely be booking again. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Nothing to see here.......
