Cari (6/5): We were finally to a different room after a/c failed completely on the last day of our 6 night stay and it was like - Location, breakfast, lovely staff, comfortable bed. Changed rooms on our last night and the room much better. Was advertised as a view room and was not. The room was in terrible disrepair, mold on drywall, Bathroom sink had concrete like substance come crashing down in the night. Loud a/c unit dripping water onto one of the beds. 1 of 4 bedside outlets working. No curtains on 2 of 3 windows allowing morning light to wake you at 6 am. Do not book standard room here!

We left early on our last day and were provided with a breakfast basket as we were not able to make breakfast that morning. Lots of games available to use in reception, and good toiletries. Overall a nice hotel, think we were unlucky with our room. I booked this stay last minute and unfortunately our stay did not reflect the price point of which we paid. Our bathroom had an off smell, almost of drains/sewage. We were on the bottom floor and it was very noisy, and the shower temperature was very temperamental. The breakfast buffet was sadly nothing special, and our bathroom mirror was covered in rust. We were approached many times outside the hotel, which was fine, but the hotel itself had very little security- not locking front doors at night etc. If it were not for the higher price point the stay would’ve been fine, but ultimately it was far too expensive for what it was.

Alice (7/5): Placement idéal mais installations pas à la hauteur - Le personnel était vraiment super et à l'écoute. Nous avons demandé à changer de chambre car la première attribuée ne correspondait à nos attentes (au rez de chaussée et au pied de porte de la salle du petit déjeuner) et notre demande a été rapidement acceptée et solutionnée par Juan, le propriétaire qui a été très arrangeant pendant toute la durée de notre séjour. La seconde chambre était spacieuse et la salle de bain plus grande avec une double vasque. La localisation de l'hôtel est idéale, sur la plage, devant la mer Malheureusement nous avions beaucoup d'odeur désagréable émanant des canalisations lorsque nous utilisions les WC ou encore la douche et les lavabos. Nous en avons fait part au personnel de l'hôtel et des tentatives ont été faites pour le résoudre avec une légère amélioration mais pas de changement radical. Le plus gros problème a été la fluctuation des températures de l'eau. Les douches étaient un moment compliqué avec des changements radical du chaud au froid sans toucher aux robinets au point de même se brûler. De nouveau nous en avons fait part au personnel et au début nous avons dû prouver pour être écouté et puis enfin une fois témoin de ces changements ils ont tentés de trouver des solutions mais je pense que le souci venait du système général comme si dès que quelqu'un prend une touche, cela tire sur les canalisations d'une autre douche. Pour le prix, et en plus avec une réduction Genius Booking, c'était vraiment pas à la hauteur de nos habitudes et de nos attentes. Le personnel a fait son maximum pour nous faire profiter de ce séjour quand même et pour cela nous remercions vivement l'équipe du Albemarle mais malheureusement les installations ne sont pas à la hauteur de ce qui est vendu sur le site.

Madeline (3/5): A disappointing and smelly stay - The location was great, right on the beach and easy to get places The bathroom in our room was atrocious. There was mold all over the shower walls, rust all over the mirror and sinks, one of the sinks leaked on your feet when you ran it, and overall smelled very bad. We complained about these issues to the staff and got no apologies, a simple “would you like a different room”. We changed rooms and the new room had a broken toilet handle and the bathroom also smelled, though slightly better. Another thing to note is the noise from town carries very well into the hotel, so if you’re a light sleeper I might look somewhere else. This all was very unacceptable for the price we paid for the hotel.

Breakfast was good with lots of buffet options. The only buffet breakfast we have had in Ecuador. The receptionist was helpful. Nothing!
Katarina (9/5): Lovely hotel with spacious rooms - It is a lovely small hotel with the most beautiful views Great location, close to the beach and restaurants Isabela island is very chilled and there is plenty to do and see! It is a slow paced but very special place! The manager Juan made everything smooth for us and made our stay perfect! Thank you!! Breakfast could be improved but there is enough to choose from.

Madalyn (9/5): Beautiful hotel and a perfect location! - The location is absolutely perfect and the staff are so kind and welcoming! ☺️ The wifi only seemed to work in the lobby, without a TV in the room, the evening noise from the soccer court next door, it would have been a little nice to have TV or wifi to use my YouTube to kind of drown out those sounds. Other than that it was great :)

Sarah (9/5): Fabulous location . - The hotel is right on the seafront located near to bars and restaurants. It was very quiet and rooms were a good size and beds comfortable. Breakfast was great and most of the staff very accommodating . Soft white sand and clear aqua marine sea. Some big waves but great for a swim and cool off. Lovely quiet beach with more iguanas than people most of the time. A lovely place to stay on the paradise island of Isabella. Hot water could be temperamental and a street light outside was on all night which was a shame. Would suggest you research your own tours rather than go through the hotel reception as there appears to be a significant mark up on some tours.

Chitra (9/5): Beautiful, clean, and convenient! - This is a beautiful hotel conveniently located on the beach. The rooms and all the common areas were meticulously kept. We were extremely comfortable during our stay. The breakfast was tasty and I appreciated having coffee available all day. The staff were extremely accommodating and helpful in providing bike rental recommendations. We used the pool and the sun terrace while there in addition to the gorgeous beach right outside. Highly recommended staying here while visiting Puerto Villamil and Isabela island. The one downside was that our room was right next to a soccer court where kids played at night. We could hear them very clearly from our bedroom. We could also hear the loud music from the beach. It didn’t really bother us but it may bother early sleepers.

The breakfast was nice, with the lovely pool view. They have a great view for the sunset on the rooftop. Also, guys who works there always been kind and helpful. After complaining and showing them photos of the room that we reserved which showed 5 photos of a room with two sinks, they still refused to give us the room that we reserved. I was furious at being decieved.

Stephanie (9/5): A wonderful stay - We had a spacious ocean view room with a lovely view of the beach, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was luxurious, the location was perfect, and the breakfast was delicious. The pool area was beautifully landscaped, clean, and a nice temperature. The rooftop terrace had beautiful views. Daniel at the front desk was especially helpful. I had a problem with an excursion I booked on Isabela Island. He contacted the travel agency on Puerto Ayora and worked out the problem for me. I couldn't have done it on my own. It was a complicated problem and he was very patient and cheerful in helping me out. Thank you Daniel, you were a life saver. It would have been nice to have an earlier check in for vacated rooms. 2pm is the earliest you can expect to check in. The pool closes at 7pm. I think that's 3 hours too early.

Rocio (9/5): Fantastic stay at Isabela - Hotel is located just opposite the beautiful beach. The attention from the staff was great! Very nice rooms with attention to the details. Breakfast was good, pool was an added bonus. Very early check out at 10am
Erik (10/5): Idyllic hotel at beachfront - The location is magnificant. We also booked the rooms with seaview and is was worth it. Beds were very comfortable and luxurious bathroom. The pool is quote small
Elisabeth (10/5): Relaxing stay - Very clean and comfortable. The pool is great. The breakfast was good too and staff is friendly. The view over the beach and sea is amazing. It is quite expensive but you get a bit of luxury and can definitely relax! During the day it's a bit noisy when people are in the inside yard, but not too bad.

Van (9/5): Superb - Beautiful room with a stunning view. Nice poolside courtyard and upper sitting area looking out over the ocean. Staff were friendly and helpful getting tours and taxis booked. Location is very good. Close to everything. Pictures made it seem like the hotel was isolated by itself. It is nestled amongst others. Street light out front and those around town made star gazing difficult.

Ruby (8/5): The hotel itself lovely , room nice and big and air conditioning works great. Right on the beach too. Unfortunately on o - big rooms, right by the sea and main centre of town. air conditioning works amazing one staff member in particular accused us of not paying for breakfast before checking our file. we had it included. this made us feel uncomfortable.

John (3/5): Cool place to sleep, service was not good. - The hotel was beautiful, it was clean and room service did a good job, despite all the sand. There was a nice pool area. The bathroom was amazing very spacious and well designed. Front desk was disorganized. I paid for bottles of water with cash, the girl told me I was all set. When I went to check out they told me I owed money for the water still. I told them I paid, but the girl said I didn’t they couldn’t find the money and made me pay again. They added a random charge for bar consumables something I didn’t use.
