Guest Reviews
- Tracey (10/5): A really lovely cottage with lots of extra's and a really well equipped kitchen - The cottage was very comfortable - lots of extra's to make our stay very nice - the bath was very welcome! It was a little hard to find the cottage initially. Really a shame that it is necessary to come in over the park and grass at the back. It is what it is. We noticed that one of the pins on the front door needs to be hammered up - it is nearly out - see photos

- ROBERTA (9/5): Cottage delizioso - Il cottage è incantevole! Ampio, arredato in modo delizioso e con una piacevole vista. Se arrivi la sera con il buio può essere difficile da trovare.

- Isabel (10/5): - The cottage was spotlessly clean, very comfortable and very well equipped. Everything needed was provided. It is also extremely spacious for a one bedroom cottage. The large garden was lovely to relax in with great views. Also liked the train passing. I have nothing negative to say about the cottage
- rachel (9/5): Fabulous - Comfortable.
Great location.
Spacious.
Particularly likes the sun room. All good thanks

- GMcE (10/5): - Beautiful cottage. Very comfortable, roomy, quiet location and the Jacobite Express passes by the bottom of the garden every day. Don't be put off by the instructions to get to the house, it's a lovely and very short walk. N/A
- Anonymous (10/5): Very comfortable in a beautiful spot. - Very pleasant situation by the railway which was a part of the reason for visit. Not busy, but able to see the vintage trains pass a couple of times a day.
- Eleanor (10/5): Exceptional - Size of cottage and its position No access gate to the front of property, access only through back and parking not at location which was a slight inconvenience in the rain otherwise everything else was very good thank you x
- Cindy (10/5): We enjoyed the area and our cottage - The location was great next to the Loche and Canal Difficult to bring our bags on the grassy path
- Richard (7/5): Nice place, shame about the confusing & distant access- would be an issue for disabled or elderly - Tastefully furnished Access via a grassy path & suspected rights of way issues with neighbouring properties (unable to park close & neighbours clearly interested in who was staying nearby (the next door had a gathering in their garden bar both nights )
- Young (9/5): Superb - Lovely cottage, very well equipped, comfortable and warm The car parking was 150 yards from the cottage, which was especially challenging when packing to leave during heavy rain
- Moreton (8/5): Very good -
- Julia (8/5): Very good -
- Jonnobrow (8/5): Wonderful Highland Cottage - Very spacious, clean and well equipped. The views were absolutely stunning, and the location made it a great base to explore the Highlands.
- Luke (10/5): A great stay! Great location! Would love to stay here again. - I loved the location and the house itself.
Beautiful little cottage perfect for exploring the local area & beyond into the Highlands and was also a comfy cozy home to come back too loved it.
Great seeing the trains go past too Especially the steam engines! Nothing I could constructively criticise was perfect for what we needed it for which was exploring the Highlands.
- Ojiugo (9/5): Superb -
- Deborah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Young (5/5): We felt we were staying in someone's 2nd home which needs updating with awkward access - Plenty of space within the property and a comfortable lounge and bedroom Kitchen and bathroom can best be described as tired, cooker and microwave had not been cleaned properly.
Access to the property is not easy and unfortunately we did not study the instructions that were emailed to us not long before arrival, instead relying on our record of the address and postcode as we were very much on the move. This lead to an awkward situation with a neighbour which could have been avoided had we read the instructions. However, the unusual location could and perhaps should have been made clearer at point of booking which would alert guests to the neighbour sensitivity and also give the guest full information about the arrangements for accessing the property (which involves parking in a public car park with a sign saying 'no overnight parking' and then walking on grass through a small wooded area). All very secluded and private when you get to the property but maybe not everyone's ideal arrangements.
- David (10/5): Exceptional - Great location, cosy cottage.
- Julia (8/5): Very good - Well equipped. Spacious, clean & comfortable. Good location. Great views. Parking was 100 yards away & approach was boggy after rainfall.
- Ian (9/5): Superb - Magic Cottage. It had everything they said. No hot water in the kitchen and wash basin.
- Catherine (9/5): A gorgeous cottage to stay in for a few days in Fort William - Station Cottage is a gorgeous, cosy, beautifully appointed, comfortable cottage in a great location. The setting is lovely and the view over the loch was great. The Jacobite Express passed within 50 metres, several times daily ,
Directions re accessing the cottage were very clear. The access to the cottage, despite clear instructions is less than ideal, "like a walk through the glens". After parking in a nearby car park, one has to walk about 25 metres through an unpaved grassy area, that was quite muddy. Impossible to wheel the suitcases. Also, one of us found the small double bed very uncomfortable.
- Heather (10/5): We had the best stay here! It was even nicer than I imagined! The email explaining how to get there and the folder insid - It was so cosy and a lot bigger than I expected! Beautiful location too with stunning views, it was all so clean and set out lovely would highly recommend staying here! Nothing everything was perfect!
- Neal (9/5): Cozy yet spacious cottage, close to shop, train, bus but away from noisy city centres - Nice spacy cottage close to Corpach train station, neptune's staircase, bus stop and grocery store. All within minutes of walking, only.
Very clean, well looked after, large rooms, a house to yourself - away from the noisy Fort William which in summer is fully booked.
VERY good value for the money, friendly contact with staff.
Nice larger garden with gas grills (not used), as well.
Sitting area outside and in small yet cozy conservatory, too.
TV with Amazon and regular TV.
Fully equipped kitchen - gas stove, dish washer, washing machine.
Nice comfy bed and bedroom with plenty of space for clothes (wardrobe present).
Bathroom with bathtub, very nice.
The Jacobite Steam Train (also known as Harry Potter train) passes by several times a day (2?) but does not stop there.
I would take this if you are longer than 2-3 days in the area. Travelling to Fort William centre takes 10 min. by car, 20 min. by bus and there is a train service, too but only 2 times a day.
A clean and cozy place to come back to by the end of the day. Much appreciated. To find the entry signs are not well hung and do lead into the wrong entryway. We found ourselves at the neighbouring property where.the neighbour told us how to enter property - he must have had this several times. I passed this on to the property keepers. There is no sign from the community centre parking lot and the description given was not all too helpful. We found it, in the end.
- Elaine (10/5): Delightful! Dont miss the museum Treasures Of The Earth 5 mins away. - Really had everything we needed and was easy and very comfortable. Very thoughtful things like kitchen towels and laundry tablets. We didn’t want to leave! And the steam train goes past right infront of the house! Just lovely! That we had to leave
- Stav (10/5): A great stay! - We had a wonderful time here! A bit away from Fort William, you get a beautiful view of the town and of Loch Linnhe from the bedroom and living room. The cottage was incredibly spacious, clean and comfortable. There’s a convenience store right around the corner and a large carpark nearby where you can park for free. The cottage has a lovely garden where you can sit on a sunny day. Communication with the owners made the cottage easy to find despite its somewhat remote location. If *really* had to find something: the kitchen trashcan was in a small room/closet with a low ceiling so we were in danger of banging our heads every time we wanted to throw something in the bin (that actually happened once. Ouch).
- Megan (10/5): Perfect - Everything! The bed was a little hard
- Marek (10/5): Enjoyed our stay. Would come again. - Spacious, clean cottage in a quiet location. Walking distance from Neptune's Stairs and a small shopping centre. Unsecured parking area, located approximately 100m from the cottage.
- Alan (9/5): We had a great time at Station Cottage and would thoroughly recommend it. -
- Annette (9/5): Superb -
- Rebecca (10/5): Exceptional - Great little cottage, lovely and clean. Really enjoyed our stay Nothing
- Victoria (10/5): Exceptional - Absolutely stunning cottage and location, cosy and homely. Would definitely recommend and stay again! Thank you for a great stay.
- Gregor (10/5): Exceptional -
- Miranda (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mark (10/5): A Train Buff's Dream - Great location away from the hustle and bustle of Fort William.
The the fully self-contained cottage had everything we needed for our 3 day stay.
Loved watching the old steam trains go past over the weekend.
Great walks along the loch and canal are very close by.
Very convenient to Glenfinnan Viaduct. Parking adjacent to the cottage would be more convenient.
- Leslie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Morven (10/5): Cosy station cottage - The cottage was so lovely. Super cosy, especially at night with the cute lights in the living room.
The kitchen had everything you could need and was super clean!
Loved the views from the garden too!!
