Agnieszka (5/5): Disappointing Stay – Property Neglected and Misrepresented - We booked this property based on the positive reviews, but sadly our experience was far from what we expected. The house felt neglected and poorly maintained. Upon arrival, we noticed that the bottom kitchen cabinets had a strong smell of mold. The backyard was also in poor condition and obviously hadn’t been maintained for quite some time. Several pieces of furniture were damaged — including broken chairs and worn-out items that clearly hadn’t been replaced in a long time. Another issue was the lack of garbage cans. The agency provided detailed instructions about how to separate and dispose of garbage, but there were no actual bins available on the property. However, the biggest disappointment was the pool. The property description clearly stated that it included a private pool, which was one of the main reasons we chose this place. When we arrived, the pool looked more like a pond — filled with green, stagnant water and completely unusable. When we contacted the agency managing the property, they told us it was a mistake on Booking. com and that the pool was not actually included. Also, the deposit was collected using a credit card. However, the only available method for returning the funds was through a bank transfer, which is difficult to process and recover through North American banks. Overall, this stay was very disappointing. The property did not match the description or the photos online, and the lack of proper maintenance made the experience uncomfortable. We hope the owners and the managing agency take this feedback seriously and update the listing to accurately reflect the current condition of the property.
