• Volker (7/5): Kleine, günstige, vesteckte Wohung in schönem Küstenort. - Sehr günstige Wohnung. Hatte nicht zuviel erwartet. War aber doch besser als gedacht. Zimmer recht klein mit einfacher Küche. Aber kein Geschirr. Schön bunt dekoriert. Liegt sehr gut auf der Landspitze vom Ort mit rundum Meer. Man ist sehr schnell in der Medina der Stadt bei den Märkten, Geschäften usw. Sollte man unbedingt anschauen. Zimmer geht im Obergeschoss zum Innenhof. Aber man hört das Meeresrauschen. Genaue Lage stimmt leider nicht lt. der Gxxgle Karte. Deshalb schwer zu finden. Sollte unbedingt überarbeitet werden. Man geht ein paar Meter weiter Richtung Stadt zum nächsten seitlichen Stichweg. Dort rein und dann, glaube ich, die blaue Tür. Leider leider kein Hinweisschild. Dies könnte mit einfachen Mitteln verbessert werden. Auf jeden Fall musste ich 2 Damen fragen, die mir dann den Weg gewiesen haben. Dankeschön. Das zugesagte Frühstück habe ich verpasst, weil morgens niemand anwesend war. Bin dann ohne Frühstück losgefahren. Hätte man besser machen können.

Le trés bon petit déjeuner La kitchenette n'est pas utilisable(on peut utiliser la cuisine du propriétaire ) Le sanitaire vieillissant L'eau chaude qui va qui vient en raison des problèmes de pression La terrasse un peu à l'abandon (certes c'est le mois de mars et il ne fait pas chaud, )

• Marta (8/5): Buena relación calidad precio en Mahdia - No es la primera vez que me alojo en la Maison Albatros así que conozco ya el lugar. Los dueños son muy amables y la casa es muy amplia. El desayuno es casero total. La casa está ubicada en Cap d´Africa al final de la medina de Mahdia. La casa está muy bien pero deberían limpiar las habitaciones todos los días, aunque no cambiasen las sábanas ni las toallas sí que deberían entrar a limpiar el baño y el suelo por lo menos.

• Davide (10/5): - Ci sono residenze,ci sono camere d'albergo ovunque, poi c'è un gioiello incastonato tra i vicoli di questa piccola cittadina sul mare. Ecco la maison Albatros è un piccolo gioiello e questo gioiello è gestito da una gentile signora con cui e' un piacere parlare nel patio della sua casa. Se volete vivere una bella esperienza autentica scegliete questo gioiello.
• Heli (9/5): - Location excellent in Mahdia medina. You can walk to city, medina market area. There is a swimming place in front of accommodation (across the street) or if it is too windy, then walk 10 min to the other side of the peninsula through the sea cemetary to the restaurant where there are steps down to the sea. Sandwich/pizza place just 100 m from guest house. Room is beautiful; basic, but good. There is an a/c, a fridge and small kitchenette, but you have to ask cutlery, plates etc from the host. Breakfast is nice, prepared for you by the host Shiraz. Host family is very friendly and willing to give you advice. Much appreciated. Good and safe parking for motorbike in front of the house, in narrow lane. Cars have to be left in the street, 100 m away. There might be some water cuts, be prepared. Also wifi is not always strong. Room/bathroom is basic; should be renovated at some point. However good value considering the price.

• Carla (10/5): If you want an cozy, relaxed and personal stay in Mahdia, stay here. I felt so welcomed and cared - I hope to be back! - I had such a peaceful stay here! The host and her family were so kind and went to so much effort to make me feel at home. The house itself is a beautiful traditional house in the Medina, with a rooftop where we all watched the elcipse. My room was huge, with a comfy king bed, smart TV, sea view balcony and bathroom. Right near the water where you can have a quick dip. If I ever come back, I wouldn’t stay anywhere else. Thank you! Nothing, it was perfect

• Konstantin (7/5): Good appartement in excellent Position with welcoming hosts that create a home like atmosphere - The hosts are super friendly and helpful, beautiful building, breakfast was okay, felt like visiting family (really quick really connected) Paper thin walls (we heart much of our neighbours and otherwise probably)... Lengh of the bed was a little bit challanging for me (1,86) some of the interiour seems in an rather old state and maybe could be renovated or finished

Recommended Nothing in particular, hot water needs some time before coming, but this is common everywhere in Tunisia
• Oscar (10/5): Perfect - Shiraz and her family are absolutely wonderful and so welcoming! Their friendliness & hospitality is unmatched. The room is spacious and the bed is comfortable. The AC is good and all the facilities you could need are available to you. There is an option for breakfast too, which was very good each morning. The balcony with the sea view is also great. The location is ideal also. I have seen a few people say the Wi-Fi was not the best. There was one moment where it was poor for about 1 hour, however aside from that, I personally had no problems with it during my stay.

Reception of the owner, breakfast simple but good. The balcony with partial sea view. Would stay again if revisiting the area. Wifi very slow and no reaching everywhere, the kitchen equipment not working and in need of repairs and upgrade. Not a big problem for short stay but definitely requiring cleaning and upgrade grade.

• Sim300 (10/5): Exceptional - What I liked most about staying at Maison Albatros was the calm and comfortable atmosphere of the house, and the feeling of living with an authentic Tunisian family. In addition, the owners offered to accompany me to the bus station ( louage station) on two mornings by car, and I really appreciated their kindness, because it was about 35 minutes away walking. In addition, the entire family speaks excellent Italian, which can be very useful for Italian travelers like me. The room I stayed in also had a splendid terrace with a view of the sea in the distance, truly beautiful!
• Karen (9/5): Genuine Tunisian hospitality and decor - Located inside the medina, amazing mosaic decorations and traditional furnishings. Friendly host who lives on site. Simple breakfast included. Our room had a large patio, though it was a bit cool to sit outside. The host preferred that we use his kitchen downstairs rather than the stove in our room. Small bathroom with a shower that has no curtain (probably normal for an older home in the Medina).
• Mary (10/5): Charming Mahdia stay for a Ridiculously Low Price - We had a lovely room with even a bit of a sea view. The house itself is gorgeous, with mosaics on the walls of the inner courtyard and even in some of the rooms, and there are antiques everywhere! The managers are extremely nice and provided us with a marvelous breakfast. There was free parking quite close by, too. Nothing! A sign with the name of the Maison d’hôte on the front door would be helpful, though.

• Tristan (10/5): Beautiful home, incredible hosts. - Very lovely family. The location is in the Medina, and taxis are not allowed inside. The host was kind enough to drive me to the bus station after my stay, but getting there was rough. There was some kind of water issue where the water doesn’t work at night, and also the WiFi was turned off at midnight (?)
• Haithem (7/5): Great location and beautiful place - The property was located very close to the main old city in walking distance. Enough parking spaces around it. Cozy and clean rooms. A very friendly host and owner welcomed us at arrival. Easy Check in and check out. The breakfast is well prepared and good for a start of the day to discover Mahdia and surroundings. Our AC in the room was not operating well (water leak) so we were obliged to turn it off during a hot night. But in general the AC units are modern and seems other room ACs were functioning well. The owner was informed and he promised to take care of it.

Location,architecture,style and decoration not forget to mention the exceptional people running the place,their attention,warmth and class gives you a unique experience nothing less than being with your own family. I highly recommend this place and we would visit again !

The owner was very friendly and helped a lot It's bit tricky to get there by car as google maps doesn't know about a one-way-street..
