• Meagan (10/5): - Truly a highlight stay of my trek! The hosts were so incredibly kind and helpful as I was recovering from illness. The food was delicious, and the stay had a very communal vibe which was lovely. I got my best nights sleep on the trail here!
• Stefan (10/5): - Wir kamen total durchgefroren an und unsere Gastgeberin hat alles dafür getan, dass wir uns wohl fühlen. Haben den Abend bei super Essen am warmen Kamin verbracht. Wir fühlten uns wirklich außergewöhnlich gut aufgehoben. Unser Zimmer in einer der neueren Hütten war zudem perfekt.

• Martin (8/5): Good location but not the best value - Great location right on the PoB trail to Doberdol, and the room was very comfortable. Dinner was home cooked and lovely. Breakfast was good but not amazing. Price was relatively high and overall wasn’t as good value as other places I stayed during the 12 day trek.

However we were there at the same time as a large tour group which seemed like it put some strain on the hosts and was therefore a little less welcoming. Food was fantastic though, one of the best meals we had on the trail. A little more expensive than some of the stays, with less room to chill outside than other locations. somewhat less hospitable

• Frank (10/5): Hervorragendes Etappenziel auf unserer Wanderung - Dritte Übernachtung auf unserer 4-tägigen Wanderung von Plav (Montenegro) nach Valbona (Albanien), direkt an unserem Fernwanderweg gelegen. Sehr schön und ruhig gelegen, mit einem 3-Bett-Zimmer für unsere 3-köpfige Wandergruppe. Vorort konnte neben dem bereits inklusive gebuchten Frühstück problemlos ein üppig ausgestattes Abendessen ergänzt werden. Nichts! Dass die Nachtruhe etwas durch meinen schnarchenden Reisegenossen gestört war, dafür kann die Unterkunft nun überhaupt nichts.

• Ville (9/5): - Ruokailut vietettiin samassa porukassa muiden vieraiden kanssa. Se oli hauska lisä muutenkin jo hienoon kokemukseen. Ruoka oli myös hyvää ja sitä oli paljon. Huone oli siisti ja iso.
• Tina (9/5): - Saubere Zimmer, allerdings, wenn man kein kleines Häuschen bucht sondern ein normales Zimmer, gibt es nur ein gemeinsames Bad für 4 Zimmer à 3-4 Betten, was morgens und abends etwas stressig sein kann. Dafür jedoch war das Essen phänomenal und da alle gemeinsam an einem langen Tisch essen, kommt man super mit anderen in Kontakt. Das hat es wirklich zu einem tollen Aufenthalt gemacht.

• Emma (9/5): Wonderful stay with amazing views! - Loved it! By far the most expensive stay on the Peaks of the Balkans trail but worth it. Arrived quite early in Çerem (guesthouse is located right at the PoB trail) so we could enjoy the amazing views from literally lying in bed. Private bathroom included. Everything was spotless clean. We loved it! Food was very good (especially the porridge in the morning) but we’d recommend to mention if you are vegetarian early.

• Helena (9/5): Would recommend this guesthouse to others. Comfortable and clean - Comfortable and the dinner and lunch provided were great value for money. The family were very welcoming and the wifi was good. It was a bit hard to find when you first reach the town. Room was a bit pricey for what you got compared to other guesthouses on the trail.

• Ulrich (8/5): - Nach einer langen Wanderung ein guter Ort um die Füße hochzulegen. Die Eigentümerin hat uns sehr herzlich empfangen. Am Abend haben wir ein tolles Essen bekommen und sind satt und müde in die Betten gefallen. 100 € pro Nacht fanden wir dennoch recht teuer.

• Lidia (10/5): Amazing hut after a long trekking day. One of the best on the PoB trail - We booked a hut with twin beds and private toilet. They prepared us lunch even if we arrive at 16:00. Dinner and breakfast is on a shared table with other guests so you can talk with other people and share the experiences of the PoB trail. The hut was confortable with every detail but the bes was the homemade food. Price is a bit higher than the average but it's worth paying it

• De Causemaeker (8/5): Rustig verblijf, in een mooie setting, vriendelijk personeel, lekker eten! - Zeer ruime nette en lichtgevende kamers, comfortabele bedden, in een vernieuwde “chalet”, naast de receptie/restaurant, vlakbij het pad voor de start van de staptocht van Valbona naar Ceremi. Mooie ligging. Restaurant was niet gezellig: vrij kil, weinig aangekleed, koud licht.

• Natali (9/5): בית אירוח בהרים - את הנוף המדהים, האוכל הביתי הטעים, הלבביות של המארכים, הנחל שליד הבית, המיטות של החדר, הסביבה. הגענו מאוחר עם ילדים וחיכו לנו עם ארוחה טעימה וחמה השירותים ומקלחת לא היו נוחים, ועם ריח קצת לא נעים. היה קר ולא היה חימום. קומה שלישית במדרגות בתוך הבית. לא היו פזיליטיס. החיבור לאינטרנט לא היה טוב בכלל. ההגעה למקום מקום מסובך, מומלץ לא להגיע בחושך!!

• paul (10/5): Lovely location, comfortable beds INCREDIBLE meals - The hosts were exceptionally kind and helpful with the local area, hiking needs and beautiful grounds to lay around and play games. We got the full board package, including a very filling breakfast , a nice take hiking lunch and the next three course dinner in Albania. The primary chefs have been cooking traditional food for many years, and brought both nearly and well flavored food to our hiking tired bodies.

It was a little hard to find since we haven't seen any signs along the way, unlike the other guesthouses. Also the price seems too high comparing the prices in Albania and other guesthouses.
• Arvid (9/5): Op de route van Pieken van de Balkan trail - Aangename aparte cabin (er zijn ook kamers in het huis maar die heb ik niet gezien.) Lekker gegeten. Gastvrouw was zeker vriendelijk maar toch ook wat apart in de omgang ;)
• Rafi (7/5): - האוכל היה טעים ומספק..המיקום טוב מאוד . יש שרותים ומקלחת אחת לכעשרה אורחים בקומה. אין הפרדה בין המקלחת לשרותים כך שכל הזמן ריצפת השרותים רטובה. היו הפסקות חשמל וויפי ארוכות מדי. עד כה זה המקום שהיה היקר ביותר,לא ברור למה?
• David (8/5): Good food in convenient location, very clean but limited outside space - Our room was spacious and very clean. Dinner and breakfast were excellent. The outside space is not well developed, limited seating with almost no shade. Quite expensive for the area
• Kelly (8/5): A fine stay but a bit pricey. - Large, delicious dinner, great location. Hosts were kind to run generator when wind took out power allowing everyone a hot shower. The most expensive guest house on our entire Peaks of the Balkans trek. Yes, it is remote but fairly expensive for a room with a shared bath, more than some that were almost like hotels with private bath, patio , etc. Limited outdoor seating areas to hang out post hike.
• Maree (10/5): - We had one of the A frame cabins which was great. Staff very helpful and friendly. The dinner was delicious, well organized and indoors. In the morning the host gave very useful directions on how to get to path for the days hike. It was a little difficult to find. We stayed on our Peaks of the Balkans 10 day trek and it would have been great to have a directional sign to the guesthouse where the path met the road.

• KATIE (10/5): Simply put - if you’re doing Peaks of the Balkans, you should 100% stay here - An amazing guesthouse right on trail. Tetyana the landlady works tirelessly to make sure guests feel welcome and taken care of. Dinner was wonderful, one of the best meals I had on trail and altogether it’s just a wonderful spot. Highly recommend!
