- Siran (10/5): Solo traveler trekking stay - One of a kind experience away from the business of Sa Pa town center. Trekking literally starts at your door step. Tra who looks after the guests was by far the best, super attentive and helpful right from the start. As a solo traveler, he even took me around to the other side of the valley to capture the views. One thing to consider this place cannot be accessed by a car, it's about a 5 min walk from the main road. Be aware if you have heavy luggage is my only thought for next time.
- Pari (10/5): - beautiful property and rooms. Breakfast cooked fresh each morning wheneevr you are ready (a choice between egg bhan mi and a banana pancake). Good local to go traipsing around trekking paths and cafes- don't worry about it bing far from town as town is miserable. Well, its not exactly a homestay (more a hotel) but im sure you gathered that. If you are set on going to sapa the property will give you the best possible experience but at the same time must say sapa level and type of tourism seemed to me unsustainable and depressing.

- CatiaNbr (10/5): - La réactivité du propriétaire, sa gentilesse, l’endroit, la propreté,… tout était très bien Rien
- Matt (10/5): - Quaint, cosy guesthouse. Beautiful location, simple but very comfortable rooms
- Maria (10/5): Ne vale la pena! - La posizione è stupenda, lontana dalla città molto tranquillo e perfetto per il trekking. I proprietari due persone splendide, gentilissime e accoglienti. La struttura anche molto carina, tutto pulito. Wifi funzionante. Stra consigliata, lontanina dal centro ma ne vale la pena. Nulla
- Ilmira (10/5): Simple and beautiful, mountains, sunrise ❤️ - It was very serene, staying in the village, slow life, beautiful views!! I liked the room and overall the simplicity of the place which is very lovely! Very nice hosts too, thank you for your hospitality guys!! Also what I liked that you can start hiking straight from the house 😁 I enjoyed a lot staying over here!
- Werka2682 (10/5): - Właściciel najwspanialszy na świecie. Śniadanie przepyszne i świeżo zrobione ban mi z jajeczkiem. Pozwolił nam się zameldować kilka godzin wcześniej i zostawić bagaże po godzinie wymeldowania. Polecam. Kawałek od Sapy ale to miejsce to raj na ziemi.
- Tara (10/5): Amazing couple of nights in the beautiful ta van village. Surrounded by rice fields. So beautiful - The man who ran it was so kind and generous! Make us feel very welcome and comfortable and went above and beyond Nothing!
- Kersten (10/5): - So cute. Very clean. Included breakfast banh mi's so yummy and honestly so peaceful here. You can do your own trekking from this location but if you want more variety for lunch and dinner you do have to commute to downtown sa pa which is a 30 minute drive away. Other than that though I loved this place so much.

- Florence (10/5): - Beautiful location in the valley, outside the business of the main town. Tra the host was excellent and a great cook. He helped us with our laundry and organising a taxi.
Comfortable bed and room. Shared bathrooms but were kept clean.

- Eva (8/5): Peaceful stay surrounded by nature! - Tra was very attentive and made sure that I was happy with everything. The property is peaceful and calm. I like the fact that I could use the kitchen and groceries were easily assessable from the local supermarket. Tra even made me a second breakfast once he noticed I didn't like the first. He offered and was happy to assist me do the main road with my heavy luggage. I didn't like the toilets being downstairs.
- Kang Pei Yi (10/5): - The location is very peaceful. Away from the main road. Tra the host was a very helpful and loving man. His breakfast home cook meal was one of the best we enjoyed.
- Amanda (7/5): - The man who checked me in, and who seemed to be running the place, was very kind and welcoming. Overall, the stay was good and the service was friendly. However, be aware that the walls are very thin. You can hear people walking in the house, and there are dogs barking and roosters outside throughout the night. If you’re a light sleeper, you may struggle to sleep here.
- Margot (8/5): Thank you so much Sapa Tranquilla for those two amazing days. - The staff is so helpful and welcoming, he is always nice and trying to help with any need. The bed is extremely comfortable and the location is quite, far enough from the caos of Sapa Town. You can enjoy the view and the place from here. In winter months the room can be a little cold; not too bad, but just be aware and have something for sleeping.

- Gai (10/5): Stunning. Highly recommend. - The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Amazing bed linen, super clean house (spotless windows to enjoy those views!), clean and well functioning toilets/ahowers (watch out for frogs!). Breakfast is delicious and plentiful with something different every day (6 days!). Staff were accommodating to us arriving very early. The location is truly stunning; in the rice paddies on the outskirts of a Hmong village, with views across to Ta Van and Fansipan in the distance. Waterfall within walking distance. Local kids played with my kids daily around the grounds. We went for a “trek” with the lovely neighbour who runs a shop next door. We got a taxi into sapa town one day and it was a huge culture shock! Great WiFi, washing machine, kitchen etc. Mosquito nets in the bedrooms would be a good addition.
- Lucy (10/5): Home away from home - It felt like home away from home! The rooms were so lovely and spacious, the beds were so comfortable, the bathroom facilities were always clean and Tra and Cha who were managing the accommodation were SO helpful. Tra made us breakfast each morning, and he also cooked us a beautiful home lunch feast one day - plus driving our bags up and down the hill. The lovely woman across the path from the homestay, Bu-Ma, is a delight. We were welcomed into her family and had big chats each day - her and her daughter both guide local hikes around the area too. The cafes and restaurants on the path in walking distance are all amazing - plus Tiny Coffee up the hill is a must go! We were sad to leave here and felt like we could have stayed for another week. Nothing!
- Nicole (10/5): Wonderful local experience - The house itself is very beautiful and local. It was all super clean. Our host was kind and over the top helpful. We had to check-out at 3am in the morning and he came and helped us with our luggage and pick-up service.
The location is wonderful. You are directly in the rice fields and surrounded by local farm houses which makes it easy to just relax and people watch. It’s about 6 minutes away from a gorgeous waterfall were you can swim. Our kids loved it and would have spend the day there. And it’s easy to just start walking and have a hike through the bamboo forest and the rice fields. Nothing - the property is really a perfect place to experience Sapa and the mountains surrounding it.
But be prepared that you will be shocked by the trash that accumulates in places to a point were we personally felt very sick and devastated to be witness to such a disregard of the environment.

- Paul-michael (10/5): Exceptional - Very nice place in a little remote but npt to remote area. We really enjoyed relaxing there for 2 days :)
Most comfortable beds we had during our whole trip. The room and showers were so clean.
- Shannon (10/5): The true way to experience Sapa - Amazing views, comfy beds, and fantastic breakfasts. We loved every bit of our stay.
- Aurora (9/5): Superb - Staff super friendly and helpful .
Surrounded by nature. If u take a taxi You need to walk few hundreds meters to reach the place, during nigth there are some dogs on the way ,not really friendly, that migth intimidate a bit.
U wont have any problem if u keep walking and don't mind them but i recognize it could be a problem for someone.
- Ken (8/5): Great guesthouse in a wonderful location - Wonderful guesthouse in Ta Van, close to Sa Pa. It was very comfortable and the hosts were responsive and helped us with everything we needed. Nothing, it was wonderful.
- Ewelina (10/5): Exceptional - Place is located in a remote place, village of local ethnic Hmong. We had a room with balcony, where we could sit and watch sunset. In the morning we were woken up by roosters and pigs from a farm next door so if you’re looking for a place to sleep until 10:00 with no interruptions rather choose a hotel in Sapa but if you want to see how real life of locals look like this is definitely a place to go.
A well known fungus problem in Vietnam caused me some skin irritation but Sapa Tranquilla was completely free of it. We were there end of February 2025 night was cool and humid so we were sleeping in sweat shirts, I did not feel cold. Staff is very friendly and kind. We were served coffee/tea and banh mi for breakfast all very tasty.
- Keziah (10/5): A Rural Beauty you won't want to miss - The hosts of our stay Cha and his wife Char are two of the loveliest people you will ever meet.
The property is big and inviting, the shower facilities are stunning and the rooms are as cosy as being back at home (plus they come with an electric blanket for chilly nights ).
Well worth the money and Char's half day tour/ trek through the near by villages and bamboo forest are incredible (she is a wealth of wisdom and has incredible endurance (you'll need plenty for the trek)).
In addition to this Cha is an excellent cook so overall they make an incredibly dynamic duo.
- Aoife (9/5): Peaceful, cosy, rural homestay - Tra was brilliant, he was so helpful and friendly. The room was cosy and topped off with an electric blanket for cold winter evenings. The homestay is surrounded by the local people(and animals) it was perfect. The toilet and shower facilities were great with lots of hot water. We would definitely recommend Sapa Tranquilla. Ly the trek tour guide was brilliant so informative, cost 400k pp.
- Jimjaylea (10/5): A tranquil paradise in a beautiful calm setting, amazing rooms, both rustic and modern. - The host and staff were super friendly and helpful! The location of this property was perfect for us! The rooms were so well equipped, spacious and well decorated. We had some awesome breakfast here and was kindly served by a member of the team on site. The hosts kindly assisted us booking motorbikes for our time here, they put us in contact with a local taxi driver who assisted us in our arrival and departure and also provided us some awesome information on walks we could do yourself in the local area. We really loved our time here, it is such a special place with amazing views, despite the inclement weather at times. The last piece of path/road leading up to the property is not suitable for cars, so on arrival there is a mini walk with your lugagge. But after that, we managed it perfectly fine on a motorbike.
- Kaitlin (10/5): Exceptional - The property itself is beautiful, easy to find and well worth the money. It it spotless and really cosy 😀
It’s made even better by the views and the welcoming face of Tra.
Could not recommend this place enough.
- R (8/5): Rustic nature resort, beautiful wooden lodge with separate rooms for guests. - Very helpful host. The bathrooms were communal.
- Steffie (8/5): Very good -
- Georgia (9/5): Perfect location for trekking. - Beautiful location, very clean. Hard working staff and very kind. Tra went out of his way to take my partner to get dinner and returned him safely. Check in and out was easy. Filtered water for drinking. Laundry services offered and very prompt. Perfect for a homestay couple thinking of trekking. The rooms look like pictures. I wanted to avoid the city to get a more authentic experience and to slow down from my previous stays. However, it was 25min taxi to the city. Therefore, this stay would be perfect for people who are trekking or don’t plan to spend much time in the city/town part. With this food options were more western and simple at surrounding food spots. Although, Tra gave me a taxi contact number and every time we wanted to drive in the taxi guy Tao was there on time and replied promptly. Located next to pigs and chickens so the smell outside was strong but inside smelt lovely and was very clean. Hot water would only work sometimes.
- Anna (9/5): Superb - Good helpful staff. Lovely breakfast cooked fresh each day. Clean and tidy accommodation Not sound proof walls
- Anna (9/5): Superb - Being out of town in a village, located right on the walking track No sound proof walls
- Pooja (10/5): You‘ll love the peace and quiet! - I absolutely loved our stay at this charming property. This is located in the Quieter part of SaPa and is a few kilometres away the main town. The balcony has a great view and there’s a waterfall at walking distance. Cha is a super helpful host and went out of his way to assist us with her queries and help make our stay more comfortable. Scrumptious morning breakfast, complimentary! 10/10 would recommend!
- Madison (10/5): Incredible stay! - Beautiful location! Friendly staff! Highly recommend staying here. Wish we could have stayed longer
- Dương (10/5): Rustic stay with cozy rooms and stunning terraced fields! - I had a wonderful rustic stay at this accommodation! The rooms were clean, cozy, and equipped with all the basic amenities, offering a close connection to nature. The staff was friendly and hospitable, always ready to assist when needed. The location is near stunning terraced fields, giving me the chance to enjoy fresh air and peaceful scenery. It's an ideal place to relax and immerse yourself in nature. Definitely coming back!
- Valerie (10/5): Exceptional - One of the best accommodations during our Vietnam trip.
We had the most amazing views from our balcony while enjoying the chilled village life.
The staff was always extremely friendly and helpful.
- Bich (9/5): Superb -
- Sascha (10/5): Exceptional - We had the best stay at Sapa Tranquilla!!
The beds are so comfortable and the bathroom is nice and clean. The kitchen was definitely a plus!
The owner and staff were so incredibly helpful with anything and everything we needed, great communication. The area is beautiful and quiet, a lot of nice walking spots and cafes to explore.
We will definitely stay here again in the future!
- Marek (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was absolutely perfect😊
- Noje (10/5): Great place to stay - Me and my partner we had such a good time at Sapa Tranquilla. The staff is friendly, helpful and supportive and we had nice conversations. The room is spacious and the bed was really comfortable. The host allowed us to use the kitchen and to prepare the coffee in the morning which was great for us! The view in the morning is absolutely stunning and is all you need if you want to escape from noisy cities and the hiking paths are near by. I reccomend this property with my entire soul! Thank you!❤️ The accomodation was a bit hard to find in the evening when we arrived but the host came to the main road to meet us.
- Constantin (10/5): I recommend Nguyen's place. - The host is super friendly, one of a kind.
The place was clean, comfortable and cozy. The location is close to the trekking attractions such as waterfall, rice fields, bamboo forest, etc. There is a supermarket and a cafe picturing the rice fields. I recommend Nguyen's property and I'm looking forward to visiting his place again.
The place can be reached by taxi from Sapa or by renting a scooter. Taxis might cost between 200 to 250 VND, scooters start from 100VND/pd.
- Allison (10/5): I will definitely come back again! - This homestay is among local households and the mountains give an authentic Vietnamese village. It is nicely located in the valley, surrounded by rice fields and facing a magnificent natural view with fountain, mountain and small houses on the hill. Rooms are spacious, clean and nice. People there are super friendly and the level of their hospitality is absolutely above you can expect.
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional - The room is very big, especially at that price. The rice terrace is just outside of the window and I could go there directly.
We could also walk to the spring and the waterfall nearby. I would say this is a great place for people who like nature.
The bed was very comfortable.
The owners took care of us really well. I really like the food they cooked. The location is some hundreds meters from the main road so it might be difficult to find the house. But the butler waited for us and took us there so there's no problem
