The apartment had all the utilities we needed, the beds and couch were comfortable. 10/10 stay, would definitely book again.

They provided plenty of information ahead of time, which made the self check-in process incredibly smooth and stress-free. Everything was clearly communicated, and we felt well-prepared before even arriving. The space itself was absolutely phenomenal—spacious, comfortable, and filled with natural light thanks to the large, beautiful windows. The view was a real highlight and made the stay feel extra special. It was a very comfortable place to relax as a family. We also appreciated the thoughtful touches throughout the property. Extra towels were conveniently stored in the cupboards, which was perfect for using the spa. There were board games available, which made for fun family evenings (even if a couple of pieces were missing here and there). The kids loved the drawing books and pencils, and the welcome chocolate was a lovely and unexpected treat. The kitchen was very well-equipped with everything we needed, making it easy to settle in and feel at home. Honestly, we would have happily stayed longer if we’d had the chance. There really weren’t any major downsides to our stay. The only small suggestion would be to include some instant coffee alongside the plunger coffee. While the plunger option is great, having a quick and easy alternative would be appreciate when you just want something simple without the extra effort. Also worth noting (though not a negative for us), there are stairs to navigate. However, we were given advance notice, which was very helpful, especially for myself with intermittent mobility issues. Thanks to that heads-up, we had no issues at all!

They provide very detailed information about the area and some recommendations of restaurants, hiking tracks and activities in their booklet which is very helpful. We know it is made with love. Highly recommending this place, we had a pleasant experience!

The property was exceptionally clean, with crisp sheets and beautifully soft towels which made it feel very comfortable and welcoming. The lounge area was spacious enough for us to relax and watch TV together, and the dining table was large enough to spread out and enjoy meals as a family. The view from the balcony was stunning — I could happily sit there all day looking out at the mountains. The property really has everything you need for a relaxing stay. It’s also in a great location: just a short drive to Queenstown and within walking distance to some lovely local cafés. Unfortunately we didn’t get a chance to use the hot tub, but it looked amazing. As a family of three (two adults and our 12-year-old), the layout worked perfectly. Our child having their own room and ensuite made the stay even more enjoyable for everyone. The house is super clean, modern and beautiful, satisfying everything we need. Highly recommend if you’d like to have a quiet and comfortable stay at Queenstown.

Nice views on the mountains and relaxing moments in the hot-tub. The host is very responsive and very helpful which was highly appreciated. The apartment is approx. 6km away from downtown Queenstown and approx. 25 min drive to the airport.

• Nicola (9/5): - It was a bit further out of Queenstown than we initially anticipated. We didn't hire a car, so we needed Ubers, which ended up being quite pricey. The hot tub is shared with the other 3 apartments. But the place is lovely, it has everything you need that makes it so easy to stay there, the finishing touches really make a difference, such as washing up liquid, olive oil, Etc. It was very clean, warm, cozy and beautiful setting. Recommended, if you have your own transport.

• Chris (10/5): Perfect base to discover Queenstown, particularly if your keen to be little out of the hustle of the main strip and tuck - We loved this place. For our family of 4 adults was perfect for 3 days discovery around Queenstown. Place is about 10 drive out of Queenstown which was great for us we had a hire car. We had the upper level apartment so only one flight of stairs up. Location was also great to jump on the trails down to the shotover river which we did to run. Moonlight Track my fav. and down to Hugo’s tunnel a nice discovery to the river the other side. Views of the range through large panel windows was spectacular and changing. Sunrise gorgeous with snow on the hills. Place had everything we needed and hosts took great care to look after us. The hot tub was a hit with one of our girls who enjoyed a soak in light rain with the snow on the hills. Pretty memorable. Nothing not to like.
• Emsmum40 (10/5): Blissful Retreat on Redfern - From the start communication was excellent from Josh and Allanah, they happily answered all my questions in a timely and friendly manner. They had a very helpful welcome guide filled with things to do, places to eat and personal recommendations also. The wee sweet treat was also a lovely touch. The location was perfect for us as we did not want to be right in Queenstown itself. The property had everything we needed at our fingertips and was absolutely beautiful. The care taken in presentation was top level and that of a high end hotel. Whilst we had heating turned on the first night, we found the property warm enough to leave it off most of the time we were there. Having a laundry on the property was so helpful after having traveled for 3 days prior with no laundry facilities. I would definitely recommended Redfern Retreat to those that have transport (or are happy to use Uber) as a place to stay whilst visiting the area. Great value for money and lovely hosts that made our stay that much nicer. I will definitely be booking again if down that way. *recommend if you have mobility issues with walking up steps to ask for a lower level unit.

• Robin (10/5): Couldn't ask.for more. - Absolutely lovely home away from home in a great location for exploring the region as well as having walks and attractions on the doorstep. Wonderful mountain views, all the facilities you might need and very nicely appointed. So many holiday properties have a little compromise or two that you accept because they are provided for strangers, whether it's budget furniture, a dodgy shower or crappy pillows, but Redfern has none of those and it makes a big difference. Communication with the owners was very comprehensive, helpful and always timely and their pride in the property and love of the area shows through. No problems at all experienced during our booking or stay; if it's on your shortlist, book it. Nothing at all negative to report.

Quiet location, great hot tub overlooking the mountains. The owners really cover and explain everything to know about the house. Hot water system had some issues with pressure and hot/cold randomly activating. But not a major issue.

• Heather (10/5): Great place to stay away from the hustle of Queenstown - This place was gorgeous. Well laid out with two very generously sized double bedrooms and on-suite bathrooms. Incredible views of the mountain from a long balcony, large kitchen and dining room and comfortable living room area. 10 minute drive into Queenstown, and only slightly further to Arrow Town. Garage parking - all through we preferred to park outside in the car park. Washing machine and dryer. We heard the neighbours coming in and out late at night which was a little disruptive.

We arrive in the early evening hours but Check-in was totally smooth & apartments were ready (lighted), very cleaned, well furnished & kitchen fully equipped plus a delicious arrival welcome chocolate treat. These made our 2x5 nites stay exceedingly comfortable. Location was close.enough to Queenstown & Arrowtown with vehicle. Good dining options within 2mins drive from the apartments. Mountain view was fantastic especially with autumn coming. Hosts provided a very helpful comprehensive file on introduction & information of the property, things to do/visit, dining options, host's favourite activities around Queenstown region etc etc. Excellent place to stay in lieu of the Queenstown area. Extremely high chance of our return to the property. Nothing to dislike.

It was a well appointed apartment, with great amenities. Loved the spa bath! The hosts were very accomodating & super friendly, it was such a wonderful place to stay. Nothing, it all worked out really well! The only issue we had on arrival was the keys, but appears the previous people had messed them up, so not the owners fault here!

Provided clear check in instructions, provided 2 sets of keys not 1 which was awsome. The place itself is very modern, clean, well appointed with all homely touches. The hottub was great and always warm and clean. The house is within a residential area so it's very quiet and relaxing. It's well equipped with everything you need, and most importantly the hosts were outstanding. We got caught out by a cyclone in our home town delaying our exit, and the hosts we're very accomodating and communicated clearly. I'd strongly recommend this place for couples, small families or a group of friends. nil.

The area is quiet and very child friendly, but a very quick drive into the heart of Queenstown. Very clean and amenities were great. Lots of space for the kids to play and the view from the balcony was stunning. Not to mention the most comfortable beds we’ve probably ever had on a trip. We split our time between here and a well-known hotel and wish we had booked this property for the whole stay. We enjoyed both Gantley’s Tavern and Canyon Brewing whilst we were there which were amazing. No complaints

• Luise (10/5): Great stay! - We loved the recommendations provided, that was so helpful. Restaurant and activities‘ recommendations were both for Queenstown and Albert town. The apartment is located a 5-10 min drive to Queenstown. The view from the suite/balcony was spectacular. We also loved the hot tub.
• Annette (9/5): Beautiful place to recharge - Beautiful views, quiet location and lovely apartment with high quality finishes. Conveniently positioned for catching a bus into town.
• Karin (10/5): Wow- wonderful place thank you for hospitality. - Beautiful location as long as you’ve got a car or don’t mind buses to get into Queenstown. A perfect bolt hole to get back to after action packed and c busy days. Loved everything!! . Nothing it was perfect.

• Sue (10/5): Faultless, everything accounted for, highly recommended - This is very well set up for families, couples and largish groups. Plenty of space and a fab terrace to look at the mountains and the stars. Love, love the hot tub, great after a days hiking, very quiet, love the Bialleti coffee maker (coffee supplied) and very handy to have a washing machine and dryer. Location is reasonable close to town and the Shotover jet boats are a 5 minute drive away. Decor is really nicely set up. Nothing, our stay was too short

Not enough bath towels.

• Marwick (7/5): grate place to stay has every facility you could want from dishwasher to spa to TV with a grate view - the view was perfect a garte view of the mountain range unfortunately I did find what assume to be insect eggs on the blinds in one of the room
