Guest Reviews
- Camcamando (8/5): We had a great stay at Riverview Place. It was just what we needed. - Great location and friendly hosts.
- Quayle (8/5): Will come back again. - Excellent position with a lovely bite of the Manning River and a lovely quiet end of town. If you have a dog - the property is. It fenced all way round at the back.
- Michael (8/5): -
- Anna (8/5): Great place to stay - Beautiful view and location. Loved hearing all the birds at dusk and dawn. Good space and could be there with our dog. The price was high but we only booked foe one night over Christmas/New year period (so to be expected).
- Lesa (9/5): -
- Scott (10/5): -
- Deanne (1/5): Unreliable and Not Pet Friendly - My family and pets were unable to stay. We rang 4 times for access codes. We waited in our car for over an hour in 30.5 degree heat. The reason we were in our car is because there are no fences and the next door neighbour’s dog was on the property. My family and pets were unable to stay. We rang 4 times for access codes. - Kim (10/5): A perfect overnight break on our trip to QLD. - The location was perfect. Just what we needed to break up our trip.
The beds were so comfy. Plenty of food options and supermarket within 5 mins drive.
Would definitely stay again if back this way. Nothing loved it.
- Paula (8/5): Very good -
- Doug (9/5): Perfect place to stopover enroute Sydney yo Brisbane - Move big rooms. Not that many lights inside.
- Laurel (8/5): Very good - No breakfast Fan didn't work in living room - remote did not work
Shower was minuscule for a big man to enter
Lights not working in kitchen and hallway
No exhaust fan in bathroom
- Narelle (7/5): Was ok for an overnight stay - Clean and beds were comfortable Very steep driveway and stairs
Toaster did not work properly
No comfortable chairs on verandah
- Lesa (9/5): We loved it and so did our fur babies. - Homely, lovely view, and pet friendly ! And quiet , peaceful location . The only thing was there was no coffee plunger in the morning . I looked everywhere!
- Lesa (9/5): We loved our stay and felt at home and comfy. - Lovely views, a welcome place to stay with our elderly pooch and her little sister while on a journey north. Steep steps for our elderly lab, but we worked out the alternative path along the side of the house.
- Josephine (7/5): Relaxing & comfortable - Close to town and quiet location Nothing
- Kevin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Maja (8/5): Very good -
- Deb (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kathryn (9/5): Very nice place to stay , bed was very comfortable, would recommend it with or without a pet - Loved the place
Very quirky
Everything we needed was there
Bed was very comfortable
Pet friendly
Loverly view of the river The tenants downstairs were parked in the middle of the parking lot so we could not fit our car in
- Chelsea (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lynette (8/5): Enjoyed - Spacious Nothing really
- Debbie (1/5): Don’t recommended staying here for many reasons - Nothing. Our stay came with several unexpected issues:
• Despite being listed as an “entire place,” there’s a tenant on the ground level, so you don’t have full privacy and must keep noise to a minimum.
• There’s an extra fee for pets, which isn’t clearly stated upfront the price on the listing page although she has a price.
• The property lacks a fence suitable for containing a dog.
• We encountered a confrontational, intoxicated neighbor, which was unsettling, especially as we were in town for a funeral.
• The home itself is in need of updates for comfort, including softer pillows, a properly closing bedroom door, and more kitchen essentials.
• Accessing the home involves a steep set of stairs, which can be difficult for those with mobility challenges.
• The driveway is very steep, shared with others.
• House rules listed in the kitchen and bathroom, a bit much to list in both places and your rules should be included on your page.
The listing on the main page is misleading about certain conditions. Though the Q&A section implies there’s no pet fee, we were later informed of a $30 fee with requests to leave it in the fridge. Communication about the payment expectations were unclear, adding unnecessary stress.
Important details like the tenant’s presence, shared parking, pet fee price, and accessibility challenges should be transparently listed to prevent misunderstandings.
- Karlene (7/5): Very pleasant experience. - The property was cute and comfortable It was all good
- Sharni-maree (5/5): Both good and bad things to say about the property - Best value for money! The view was incredible from the master bedroom. I needed an extra hour to pack due to an emergency situation and the owner was very helpful with this. The door creaked and the tenant downstairs banged on the walls so loud when it wasn’t our fault. We were accused of having a dog there even though we heard the same dog at 11pm. The mower man started mowing before checkout time and it scared my babies then we were accused of stealing the tv remote when we moved it up high away from the children.
- Begona (7/5): Ok - Comfortable beds, appreciated the food lest for breakfast Difficult driveway and stairs to carry luggage to the property
- Aileen (8/5): Very good - The house was clean & well appointed. Lovely spot, happy to recommend.. only issue was the access, very comfy beds. Lovely host with good communication overall. A little warning, if you have mobility issues be aware the steepness of the driveway to negotiate from the car then the stairs up into the unit did prove challenging to us as older ladies with some mild mobility issues, specifically a knee issue made negotiating the down slope an 'adventure'. I think this warranted information on the booking sites please.
- Jennifer (9/5): A good spot for our purpose - to see family in the area. - The view was lovely & the design good. I suggest a heater & fan in the bathroom would be a good idea. A couple years from now lamps in the lounge & back bedroom would also be good.
- Deregt (8/5): Very good -
- Bill (9/5): Superb -
- Harsha (10/5): Exceptional - The house was way beyond our expectations. It was clean and maintained well. Have a good parking spot. All the utensils in the kitchen. Towels, sheets, and blankets were provided.
The view from the balcony is amazing. Check-in is simple and easy. It's absolutely worth the money you spend.
- Meili (8/5): Very good - It was a lovely place, close to town with great views of the river. We were comfortable and happy whilst there. My partner has recently had an operation. I didn't realise that there was a steep driveway and set of stairs up to the house when I booked it. Luckily he made it up, but I had to carry our things up and down. He needed to sit for a rest halfway!
- Sonia (9/5): Superb - What an incredible outlook! Tucked away in a quiet street, this was still close enough to get to all the amenities within a few minutes drive.
Lovely property, very clean and tidy. Would love to see some chairs, maybe even a table, on the verandah to make the most of the outlook
- Dwayne (6/5): Pleasant - Close to town There was a tenant down stairs that we were not told about when we paid to book
- Helen (10/5): A welcoming stay at the end of a long day on the road. Will stay again. - clean, homely, comfortable. Lovely peaceful position with view of river warm weather made sleeping hot under the warm doona. Beds made up in layers during warm weather would be great.
- Kim (8/5): Great place to stay with a pet. - Size of the property was great. View of the river was lovely. Easy drive to town. TV was great. Pedestrian access up the steep driveway was very difficult. The opening to shower stall was a very tight squeeze. There were no chairs on the front verandah so we had to take dining chairs outside. Extra plates and glasses might be a nice addition
- Ru (9/5): Great view - Stay as home, feel welcome
- Mandy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Karissa (7/5): Clean, comfortable and good location. - Nice big open 2 bedroom house. Was very clean and comfortable. Only a few minutes drive to local conveniences but in a nice quiet street off main road. Only downside was a steep driveway & steps and the yard not fully fenced for pets.
- Dhammika (7/5): We enjoyed our stay here and with wonderful water views, just less than 1km to town centre . Very quiet street. - Convenient and nice views It need bit of renovation and touch up work. Not fully fenced for dogs
- Brett (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jo (8/5): Well appointed, and a lovely view - Well appointed, with bits and pieces in the kitchen that you needed. Even an honesty system for wine.
One bedroom has great airflow and an excellent view over the river.
Would have been nice to walk into town (if we didn't have an injury) It was great being able to bring the dog, but note, the yard isn't secure. I made a mistake with the bed configuration. We needed 3 separate beds but I couldn't find the sofa bed so we had to split across two double beds.
- Kevin (10/5): Great Taree Accommodation! - Great spacious accommodation, a true home away from home! N/A
- Michelle (7/5): Nice overnight stay on our way north with great view from house - Comfortable house and our dog was able to stay which was great
- Debbie (6/5): Pleasant -
- Tanya (8/5): Very convenient in a picturesque location with everything you need. - Fabulous view, had everything we needed, plenty of space, and our host was helpful and friendly.
- Barbara (8/5): The house was really nice. We had a lovely stay. It was dog friendly 😊Leah the host was most helpful with check in. - It has a nice location close to the river I was having knee surgery the next day. The driveway was steep and there were stairs.
I wouldn’t have been able to stay there after my surgery.
- Vesna (10/5): Good overnight stay for us the host was very helpful - Comfortable good sleeping arrangements
