Guest Reviews
- Ellen (1/5): Dissapointing and unpleasant. - Easy to access. - general cleanliness
- sewage smell - toilet not plumbed in properly
- beds uncomfortable and lacking sheets
- cooking equipment very limited and unpleasant
- howe (8/5): Chalet lifestyle is very simple and basic. We found Bluebell to be very cozy and suited our needs. - Chalet was spacious and private and the site is quiet and secluded but near to the beach and town. Gas heating appliance was very effective so our stay was very cozy.
- Mayne (10/5): -
- David (5/5): - I like the location Because of the mice and pour public services like buses and trains
- Prescott (1/5): - Only the location The accommodation
- Alaiddin (10/5): -

- Peter (10/5): Exceptional -
- Toni (4/5): Could be so much better - Location was good Needs a good clean and tidy up throughout
- Freer (8/5): Cute Blue Shed - Leysdown is right back to basics and that's why we love it!
The site is kept clean and secure.
The chalets are cute and it's like camping without the stress, plus theres electric!
The kids love the freedom of the green patch outside. Club house is cheap and often has live music.
Looking forward to next year! Electric voltage is low, so one appliance on at a time, can be hard when the kids don't realise and end up tripping the switches!
- Miroslav (10/5): 100% - Perfect Perfect
- Callum (1/5): Horrendous - The TV worked Everything else. Was filthy, a constant damp smell, toilet leaked, taps fell off shower when turning on, all the kitchen utensils needed cleaning, cooker didn’t work and unwashed bedding.
- Elsie (1/5): Disgusting - Place was dirty roof was leaking smelt terrible shower knobs fell off while having a shower pots and pans were unusable mattress on double bed was filthy covered by Marttress protector holes in lino on fall trip hazard and stair gate drill into door way blinds on window broken none on one window settees we're all tatty. Outside was untidy very very poor condition tried to call owner Saturday morning about ceiling leaking at to leave a message on answer phone did not return my call we left there and went to marlin farm in New Romney for two nights all in all it was disgusting you should vet these properties before letting people rent them I have photos of the chalet if you would like to see them I think the owner should reimburse.the money I paid I tried to get on harts on Friday fully book then I phoned parks on Saturday morning when the roof started leaking and the only one they had was new roman if they did not have any vacancy we would have had to go home. Sorry the answer to both questions are above final words disgusting it was like he had got all the furniture out of a tip I have got photos which I will try to get my granddaughter to download for me. I will forward photos when I can download them
- Msbdg (1/5): Dirty & needs a good scrub. - The site was ok. It could be a little gem with some TLC. It wasn't clean, no clean bedding or towels. It needs a good scrub.
I could have dealt with it being run down but arriving to find it hadn't been cleaned was a joke. At 8pm we couldn't get hold of the owners and ended up driving to a local B&M to purchase bedding, towels and cleaning products so we could get the little one to bed after travelling nearly 4 hours. I know we were not staying at the Ritz but the basics were not done. No light in the main bedroom or toilet.
We we're promised that the cleaner was coming a day after check in, Never came!!
- Rhys (6/5): Needs a bit of tlc - The location was great only a 5 minute walk from the main part of leysdown the chalet itself could be great with some work put into it overall it served the purpose of what me and my son wanted somewhere to eat and sleep the beds are very nice to sleep in that was one bonus There are some issues with this place no cooker currently but granted had an air fryer. My biggest issues was it wasn't really clean fag butt's under the beds and the toilet well sit down to hard and the ubend comes apart the hot water can be a challenge but that is site wide due to water pressure mainly
- Kevin (7/5): Good -
- Amy (1/5): Bad - Nothing Damp and mould everywhere, smell of gas, had 2 gas leaks lucky enough I smelled otherwise it would have exploded with me inside.
- Kim (8/5): Very good -
- Jordan (9/5): Perfect for what we needed will be staying again - Perfect for what we needed Wifi isn't great and hot water is interesting lol
- Casey (3/5): Disappointing - Decorated beautifully but wasn’t clean. I was told I could take my dog then told I couldn’t. Promised a refund I don’t get. Dead Flies everywhere on arrival. An awful smell everywhere inside the property. Such a shame as I could have been great but I can’t handle dirtiness. The dead flies. The inability to cook anything as only had microwave. Hoover didn’t work. No hot water. Blinds falling down. No doors.
- Jacq (3/5): Poor - Hot water..clean bed... Was not clean..something smelt really bad...
- Sharlene (1/5): Bad - Nice area The shower was full of mold and body grease
The oven was full of fat and the trays still had food in it that was burnt to a crisp
The bedrooms smelled so bad me and my boyfriend got sick and we were there for 2 weeks within the 1st week we went somewhere else
The whole place smelt like mold
There was a bug infestation
No hot water at all
Hosts were hard to get ahold of
The sofa looked disgusting
There was a hole in the bedroom floor
The WiFi didn't work
The bowls plates cups cutlery ect wasn't clean at all
False hope about the TV that we were supposed to get 2 days after we arrived and we never ended up getting it
- Lorraine (1/5): Bad - Nothing Everno gas very coldything not stayed where I booked
- Jo (1/5): Filthy disgusting - Filthy did not stay
- Barry (9/5): Exactly what I needed at the time. Good value for the two nights. - As I booked at a very late stage I was pleasantly surprised at the ease. Good, quiet spot. Nice and clean chalet. Refreshing showers. Cooking facility spot on. Comfy double bed. Telly easy to work. I can't fault it.
- Anonymous (3/5): Very disappointed with the cleanliness needs a good hot water system - Lovely little chalet beds were comfy No hot water as boiler didn’t work
Dirty shower on arrival
No cleaning products
Electric keeps tripping so had to put bak on
Not very clean throughout
Very disappointing
- Georgiba (1/5): It was disgusting - Nothing Everything
- Cattle (5/5): Fine for us, me and my son. - We’ll worth the money,it suited our needs as a base for sailing No useable hot water, 6A imit electrically but that was liveable and ok for us.
- Gary (8/5): Enjoyed a nice relaxing trip and would stay here again. - Compact and cosy. Had everything we needed for our stay. A bit frustrating having to keep limited appliances on otherwise the power cuts out but wasn’t a major issue for us as we didn’t cook a big dinner every night.
- Anonymous (7/5): Good - The entertainment was brilliant. And bed were comfy The sofa bed was filthy and was really smelly
- Vanya (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing place for family
- Kurtis (1/5): Disgusting Chalet - Not cleaned or inspected between stays - Knowing I was leaving the following morning. On arrival it was obvious the property had not been cleaned after the last guests.
There was crumbs all over the sofas and rug, the kitchen bin was full and had 3 pizza boxes on top with half eaten pizza inside, the sofa looked like it had been taken from a skip as the leather was all peeling and when sitting on it I was left with bits of leather stuck to my clothes and skin. In the bedroom I was even more shocked and digusted to find the bed had not had its sheets and duvet changed over from the previous guest, even possibly a few guests before that. The sheet was littered with pubes, dead skin and even a finger/toe nail and the hadn’t even been made.
I was revolted by the state of the property so I immediately contacted booking.com to request a transfer or refund. Booking.com stated the property owners were refusing to interact with them so they stated I had no choice but to stay the night as it would take a while longer to for them to resolve. I attempted to contact the property owner myself but received no reply to my messages.
I would strongly recommend avoiding this property as it is clear the owner just wants to make money from stays without actual doing any of the work to provide suitable and clean accommodation for guests. This chalet was below an acceptable standard for renting out due to the uncleanliness, poor maintenance such as the oven being decommissioned, the peeling leather sofa and and the state of the shower.
- Aleksandrs (10/5): Exceptional - We didn't stay there, but hopefully we will one day as the owners of this beautiful little chalet were very nice to us! They had some works on chalet on day we was booked, and to not ruin our holiday, they booked for us a hotel for that night wich was very nice from them. Thanks, we had a wonderful 2 days on Isle of sheppey!
