Guest Reviews
- Belynda (9/5): very relaxing and enjoyable - The views from the villa were amazing and our hosts could not be more friendly or helpful, I would say that a car is a necessity staying in this villa as the up hill walk into Mijas Pueblo would be hard work especially in the very hot months. Nothing
- Julianne (10/5): Tranquility and peace with wonderful hosts x - The location and views were outstanding. Breakfast was completely fresh and tasty 😋 It took us 30 mins to walk into the centre which was a challenge in very hot weather so something to bear in mind. However taxis one way between 6-7 euros and plentiful so this is an option should you not choose to walk to Mijas centre. I wouldn’t say it was something we didn’t like but just raising awareness for anyone who may have mobility issues.
- Hans (10/5): Google dont find route but host provided good directions how to get there. -
- Helen (10/5): Fantastic quiet villa with stunning views - Lovely villa. Excellent views. Excellent facilities. Danielle and Kees were excellent hosts. Breakfast was lovely. Pool and sun terrace were fantastic. Beer and wine fridge with honesty box which was really useful. If you have a car there is plenty of parking space in front of the villa and is handy to get into Mijas We would definitely stay here again as the walk to Mijas didn't bother us. But it is a steep 20 mins walk uphill into Mijas. It is in a lovely suburban area so you have to go to Mijas to buy anything
- Rafael (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful villa with comfortable facilities, very clean and the view was gorgeous. Danielle and Kees could not have been nicer and more welcoming, providing us with many recommendations and tips.
- Fergus (9/5): Superb -
- George (10/5): Absolutely fabulous stay, would recommend in a heartbeat! - Very traditional villa.
Beautiful views.
Excellent hosts, super friendly and nothing was too much trouble.
Spotlessly clean.
Excellent facilities. Steep hill to restaurants and bars, but taxis easily available.
- Pete (10/5): Great friendly place to stay! - Excellent relaxing place to stay within 5 minute drive to Mijas.
The views from the property are fabulous.
The hosts Kees and Danielle are very friendly and very helpful. Steep walk up the hill to Mijas from the villa.
- Tony (9/5): Perfect exceeded are expectations 😀 - Stunning view Relaxing Quiet breakfast very good Hosts were very welcoming excellent customer service Nothing to dislike
- Claire (10/5): Relaxing, comfortable, homely. - Beautiful Villa, fabulous terrace and views and lovely outdoor pool area. Comfortable bed, pool towels, everything we needed for a short stay and travelling light.
Breakfast and lunch on the terrace delicious.
Honesty bar was great, a night cap or pre dinner drink on the terrace. Felt like our own villa with the bonus of not having to wash up after ourselves !
Hosts lovely, welcoming and attentive.
Definitely will be booking again with them. Nothing
- Elliott (10/5): Exceptional - Good place to chill out by the pools, if you have a car also, there are lots of good driving routes close by to see lots of things in the countryside.
- Steven (10/5): Idyllic location - Excellent location with lovely views and close to the town centre. Very clean and tidy, all the facilities needed including swimming pool. The people there were very friendly and informative. Would happily return whenever possible. It is perfectly located to access other main Adalucian locations, either coastal or inland. Nothing to dislike or need to suggest.
- Kristen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lucy (9/5): A peaceful and wonderful stay - What an amazing find! Such a beautiful villa and in a beautiful setting. Views were amazing and the hosts were superb and couldn’t do enough for you. It’s peaceful and so clean. Breakfast is available each morning should you wish and freshly made. We had the whole villa to ourselves for 2 of the 4 nights we were there due to low season. Couldn’t fault it. Fridge stocked with drinks and snacks and you just fill out a form to say what you have taken and pay on departure. Will definitely be coming back! Lots of places to visit along the coast if you have a car but also you can get the bus from the main road and the train from Fuengirola to visit places. Thanks so much! Nothing - only thing I would say is that the walk up to pueblo Mijas is a 15 minute up hill stroll so you need to be fairly fit to do it and prepared to walk. I think taxi would be available if you needed it but nice to walk.
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional - Hosts were exceptionally pleasant, efficient and hard working.
- Shane (10/5): Relaxing and peacefull with stunning views - So relaxing. So, peaceful with stunning views. Lovely infinity pool and a wonderfully relaxing terrace to while the time away. Fully stocked bar with a n honesty box. Highly recommended for a relaxing stay Our room was quite small but adequate. Other than that we could fault anything
- Gareth (9/5): Relaxing with stunning views - A beautiful setting with wonderful views. For the price you pay you cannot fault the accommodation
- Robert (10/5): Relaxation - Great hosts
- Péchy (5/5): Perfect place with questionable hosts - Location is perfect, we love Mijas as a location. This hacienda is also perfect place with some autentic characteristics.
View is really calming, two pool areas are really nice. The garden is really huge. The hosts are nice people but from out perspective they are not really flexible. We usually travel to Spain to enjoy the spanish attitude and as the hists are from the Nethelands, they were bringing their attitude that is for us not really a desired behaviour. Some examples:
- it is not allowed to drink or eat any of your meals at the hacienda, however it was not stated in the booking description
- there is a honesty market where you can buy wines, beara, other beverages and chips but not normal dishes , they are trying to force you to buy from these products
-breakfast is rather on dutch quality and NL is not famous for its cuisine
-we were late by 3 mins at the breakfast and they were angry at us, it is nonsense, it is not a prison
- we used the AC in the room and as it is expensive, the host came to ou room without any permission ( when we were not there) and switched off it, it is also nonsense, later they argued at us why we used ac when we were not in the room, the tone is not acceptable
-we used one of the pools when the host came there and turned off the circulating pumps ( do not ask why), then that pool became a little dirty the next day
-we dranj our own wine at the terrace and also they yelled us why we did not buy their wine and drink ours
Apart from that:
-rooms are really small
-had issue with ants
This was the 2nd time staying here (last time somebody else was running this hacienda, that time the service was much better. However we love that hacienda, due to the above, we wont stay here again until these hosts are managing this booking.
- Katrina (10/5): Fantastic Find - the breakfast was amazing, well worth paying for
- Diane (10/5): Superb break - The Villa was so peaceful and relaxing with exceptional views. Wonderful hosts. The honesty bar is very convenient too. Mijas Peublo itself is stunning and only 15 minutes walk from the property. Nothing
- Aoife (10/5): Beautiful, authentic stay! - Fantastic hosts! We were the only guests staying in the villa for 2 nights so we had the pool to ourselves! The pool area and veranda were very comfortable areas to relax and take in the beautiful views. We had breakfast each morning which was very fresh and tasty. Rooms were excellent with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Towels exchanged as needed. Excellent air conditioning too.
With regards to location we had no issues with this. Approximately 15 minute walk to the centre of Mijas Pueblo. It was actually not that far, but only took this length to walk due to being all uphill and the heat! We used uber to get up to the pueblo (approximately 8 euro) and then walked home in the cooler temperatures at night. Great location for accessing fuengirola also.
- Danelle (9/5): Relaxing, enjoyable first trip to Spain. We'll be back! - Such a wonderful location! Delicious breakfast and great hospitality.
- Leanne (8/5): Perfect start to a relaxing, exploring holiday with a real sense of warmth. - Location is fantastic, beautiful view and fabulous hosts.
- Branislav (8/5): Very good -
- Claire (9/5): Lovely relaxing stay with superb hosts - The Villa was superb and we will definitely stay again when next visioning Mijas.
The welcome and friendliness we received not only on arrival, but throughout our stay, from Danielle and Keed was excellent.
The property is amazing and we loved sunbathing by the infinity pool and retreating to the terrace when it got too hot.
The breakfasts are highly recommended as are the lunches when we didn't want to move during the day. The bedrooms were a little small but you don't go on holiday to sit in the bedroom. The bed was comfortable, the room had air conditioning and the en-suite had everything you needed along with lovely, fresh towels when requested.
- Emily (10/5): Exceptional - Fantastic over all! Great hospitality. Such friendly hosts
- Enn (10/5): Fantastic views and nice calm place after a busy week. - Breakfast was very tasty and large, I could not eat it all. The same applies for lunch. Hosts were very nice and friendly, the whole villa was ecxellent, a really tasty classic noble Spanish style with fantastic views. I could not imagine anything to complain about.
- Maru (10/5): Exceptional -
- Peter (9/5): Excellent - Warm welcome. Spotlessly clean. Excellent hosts. Fantastic views. Will definitely be back. Bit tricky to find and a long walk uphill to the town
- Geraldine (8/5): Beautifully peaceful - The location was idyllic. Stunning and beautiful. Peaceful, yet not far from a delightful village with so many restaurants and shops.
The hosts where extremely helpful, friendly and made us feel very much at home. Nothing
- Aliyah (10/5): Exceptional - beautiful property, very helpful and kind hosts
- Ratniece (10/5): Exceptional -
- Charlotte (9/5): Superb - Fabulous location with stunning views. Our hosts were so friendly and welcoming. The villa is beautiful and very clean. Would definitely stay again.
- Shannon (10/5): Exceptional - The views were stunning and the building was beautiful
The hosts were very friendly and accommodating There was nothing to dislike if you like peace and serenity
