Guest Reviews
- Levent (7/5): Tokyo’dan sonra dinlendirici… - Tesisin konumu gayet iyi. Göle ve aktivitelere yakın. İlkdefa Japon sitili bir yerde kaldım. Onsen in yani kaplıcaya çıplak girme mecburiyeti bizim için biraz zor.
Banyoda sıcak su çok geç geliyor. Beklemek lazım…
- Ariya (7/5): - Location is amazing!!! Right infront of the lake where they offer boat tours and about a 13 min walk to kawaguchiko station. Good food options nearby. Nice onsen inside too! The room was a bit dusty but not a huge issue
- Jeroen (9/5): Great traditional hotel - Staff was amazingly professional and kind. I ended up deciding to still add the breakfast and dinner and glad I did. I've experienced so many unknown dishes and it was all wonderful. The onsen was also very relaxing.
- Neuschatz (9/5): - Authentic Japanese feel. Very nice appointments in the room. Many small excellent touches. Nothing

- Petrovansky (6/5): - Onsen access and views, large room space, good location Bed on floor- not comfy or particularly clean floors
- Gilbert (9/5): - the room was comfortable but only just enough room for 4 adults. The bath was clean and easily accessible with clear instructions.
Rien
- Jia Yi (10/5): Great ryokan - Great location, close to the bus station. Like the onsen! Wifi is sometimes slow
- Ali (8/5): -
- Isabel (10/5): - Close to the lift. You can be the first person in line.
The Japanese breakfast was great and even tried the natto and was delicious. I don't like natto, so I was surprisingly good here. Probably because of pollen season. I was with allergy thaf I couldn't stop sneezing at night. I will try to be in a different season to see if it was the reason and not the dust.

- Katherine (10/5): It is close to Ropeway and the ferry boat that you have a better view of Mt Fuji. It took is about 15 min to walk to th - Onsen is available everyday. The bed and pillows are comfortable and the room is spacious. Receptionists are friendly. None of them spoke good English.

- Arman (8/5): great onsen and looks very attractive, spacious room and has separate bath and toilet great value overall - pretty good onsen, also has outdoor bath in mans section, rooms were spacious with separate door to bedroom and toilet didn’t feel like very clean maybe just looks little used

- SANDY (10/5): Excellent ryokan stay/convenient location - The ryokan is lakeside, close to the station, ropeway and sightseeing boat. The traditional Japanese breakfast was excellent and filling. The onsen was great. Our 11 year old boys loved the experience.
Unfortunately I don’t like sleeping on the floor and the futons were thin. I was grateful there were extra futons in the closet that I could use for extra padding.
They provide shuttle service to the station which is helpful if you have a lot of luggage. Nothing
- Gilbert (8/5): Typisch, japanische Unterkunft.
- GIANG (8/5): - Less than 150 feet across from lake front. Staff members are friendly, courteous and polite. Breakfast was tasty and very traditional. Lack of a dry or wet sauna. Also no view, or attractive scenery for the hot bath area.

Rooms are clean and authentic Nothing
- ANUP (8/5): - In house onsen was good. Breakfast for non vegetarians is good. Not so much for vegetarians.
Location just on front of the lake is great although we did not get the lake view or the Fuji view rooms.
- fergus (5/5): Decent place in a good location for exploring around Mount Fuji. - Spacious rooms with traditional Japanese Roykan Fitout - therefore minimal.
Good location on the lake and walkable distance to local restaurants, shops, ropeway, boat trips etc
Decent rates for rooms.
Readily available Parking across the road in Public car park
They have public baths on site though we didn’t try it. Shower was a bit scatty.
Beds ( matress on floor in Roykan fashion) were not very comfortable. But there were additional mattresses available in the wardrobe if required.
- Leonie (9/5): Great location, friendly staff and has an onsen - Great location across from the lake with surrounding restaurants and convenience store Nothing
- Bruna Yukiko (10/5): - The place was very cozy and clean, close to the lake, which offers an incredible view both day and night!! We were lucky enough to see Mount Fuji. In addition, the hot spring bath was very therapeutic! Thank you very much.
- Aija Lāce (10/5): - Very nice place, close to Kawaguchio lake.
Helpful staff and nice Japaneese style breakfast.

- Premalatha (6/5): - Location was splendid The size of the bathroom. It’s too small and had to use the public Onsen facilities for bathing purposes
- Vivienne (10/5): Great value for money! - The beautiful lake view. None
- gaia (10/5): - La struttura è molto bella e in perfetto stile giapponese
- Rocio (10/5): Quiet Local Lake Views - The shuttle the welcome and the kindness of staff the alternance of breakfast and the ubication. We celebrate 3 nights of honeymoon with lake views and they helped s lot. Special thanks!!!! Perfect!!
- Angie (10/5): 🗻 Amazing ryokan by the lake and Mount Fuji - The rooftop onsen and the traditional style rooms, breakfast, and outfit are a unique experience with a lakeside view, and a short walk away from an amazing view of Mount Fuji The room is too humid and things on the drying rack didn't dry overnight and had to be blown dry
- TSZ WAI (10/5): - Good
- Carlos (10/5): -
- Ray (10/5): -
- Sandra (10/5): Felt so cozy me and my friend didn’t want to leave the ryokan. - Staff immediately greet you at the door and take your luggage. The convenience was also great, there were tons of food places everywhere to try and everything wasn’t far from each other. It’s not really crowded in the area, though it gets busy. The rooms are very cozy! Theres a really nice Onsen too that switches so you can to experience both. Staff was very friendly and understanding. You better be very kind to them!! The rooms were a nice size, along with a beautiful view of the mountains. Thin walls, can hear a lot. But not a deal breaker at all honestly. Around 10am-3pm we heard what sounded like construction sounds but it was silent past that time. WiFi is very weak and hard to maintain. If you are on the second floor be prepared to hear sounds from outside the door since it is the dining hall floor.
- Julalak (10/5): -
- Amy (9/5): - Futon was actually really comfortable and the aircon was able to keep the room warm very well in the winter
- Elizabeth (9/5): Loved our stay - Location and room with nice lake view Not informed about fireworks upon check-in. We could have planned to go and check it out.
- Erin (9/5): Wonderful stay at Yamagisi - Location was perfect, it accommodated our extra guest with lots of room, free sake in the lobby was appreciated, overall we had a wonderful stay.
- Ryan (9/5): Wonderful place with a very relaxing onsen experience. I would visit again. - The breakfast was both traditional and enjoyable with a wide assortment of things to try. I quite enjoyed myself. Photos of the room showed western style chairs for relaxing in the background, but our room only had on-floor seating which was a bit uncomfortable for me.
- Rita (9/5): -
- Brian (10/5): Gorgeous ryokan with an excellent host - Excellent host. Yoko was extremely attentive and top notch. Food was excellent, the bar was a nice touch. Couldn’t have asked for anything more. Nothing to complain about
- Anastasiia (10/5): Cozy hotel - We found the hotel without any problems. We were pleasantly surprised by the location and size of the room.
When booking, we were told that there was a shuttle service from the station to the hotel and at check-out. The receptionist spoke English. There were no problems with check-in or check-out. Near the hotel, there is a very affordable bike rental (we recommend renting for three hours at once), Lawson, a cafe, a souvenir shop, and a pharmacy (10 minutes to the station). We really liked the onsen, which was located on the top floor of the hotel: spacious, clean, with all the necessary hygiene products. There is an outdoor section: small but very cozy. Next to the entrance to the onsen, there is a beer vending machine for complete relaxation. The onsen is separate for men and women.
The room itself was very spacious, with a separate tatami area where futons were laid out. It was clean, bright, and had a beautiful view of Lake Kawaguchiko. The room also has a small shower and toilet. The hotel provides towels, slippers, separate shoes and clothes for the onsen (underwear and outerwear), gel, shampoo, conditioner, tea with cups, a hairdryer, a mini-fridge, extra tatami mats, and blankets.
We only stayed at this hotel for two nights, but we wanted to stay there much longer—it has a very Japanese atmosphere. We highly recommend this hotel!
I only booked accommodation. When I check in, they demanded payment for dinner, breakfast and hot spring tax. Last Christmas, they said I asked for three dinners and three breakfasts over the phone. I've never made an overseas call. I sad that over again. They got through to someone on the phone, and she said I sent her an email. But it was not true. I had already bought a lot of dinner and breakfast from nearby Max Value.
- nachanochka (2/5): Disappointment - Absolutely nothing positive, except maybe fast transfer from the station The Wi-Fi doesn't work. If I didn't have my own mobile connection, it would have been a nightmare.
There was hair everywhere in the room, including on the futons.
The room was very cold, and the heating couldn't cope.
The room smelled of tobacco.
The floor of the outdoor onsen was covered with ice, making it extremely dangerous to use.
A male employee came to make the bed and spoke in a language I didn't understand, neither English nor Japanese, which scared me.
I have no complaints about the reception staff; they were nice girls.
18,000 per night, no meals. In a cold, dirty room, with no internet, I think my indignation and disappointment are understandable.
- Young Jin (8/5): -
- Li Chean (7/5): Perfect enough for a night or two stay with families. - I like the free shuttle service for the pick up from the station as well as the drop off to the station. It is for a certain time period though so make sure to arrange it within the time frame. It could be perfect if there are the laundry facilities for the guests. Even the coin machines with washer and dryer is good enough so can get the clothes washed without the need to bring it to the nearest coin washing machine shop behind the ryokan.
- EDWIN JOONGHUNG (10/5): Good stay at Lake Kawaguchiko area. - Breakfast normal and location good. Surrounding very beautiful and easy to access.
- Stan (10/5): -
- Jason (3/5): Great location but too pricy - Perfect Location. Right by Kawaguchiko Lake. Next to 24h Lawson. Walking distance to rope way and boat ramp. We got the room with no view. This hotel uses dynamic pricing heavily. Price vary a lot for each day. If you book in advance, it dose not guarantee the best rate and the price adjust often. Booking.com has price drop protection. However, it apply to "future booking". If you want to safe money now, you have to cancel and rebook.
Hotel is old. We got the room with no view. No hotel shuttle available before check in time. No english speaking rep before check in time.
- Omer (3/5): Poor value for money, would not recommend. - Location was nice. Bad smell in the room that did not go away. They charge some petty money for the onsen use, in contrary to other ryokans. Breakfast is not good either.
