• Shyanne (1/5): Never going back glad I found other accommodations. - Leaving it to go find other accommodations. All the lies Picture show a 4 burner stove I get there I’m told I get a 2 burner stove. Pictures shows a French door styled fridge I get there I’m told I get a top freezer fridge. The pictures clear show a real house I’m told I get a cabin. The staff followed out to my car after they told me for some reason I didn’t pay even though their system isn’t suppose to allow reservations without pre payment. Never once got anything saying from them before hand I’d owe money when I arrived. On top of the $500+ they wanted another $180 I was never told about. I went out to my car crying and a staff member followed me saying I could get someone to front me the money all I said was I don’t know anyone who would front me the now $600+ cause of a problem in their system.

• Heather (10/5): Peaceful and relaxing - From start to finish, this was an enjoyable stay. The two ladies who greeted us in the office were excellent; they gave recommendations on places to go, whether it was sightseeing, shopping, or eating. We had a one-bedroom cabin on the river. It was so peaceful and beautiful that we enjoyed every evening sitting around a fire, watching the river, and talking with one another.
• Lawrence (10/5): - The cabin was most comfortable. It contained everything we needed: Heat AC good lighting soap, dishes, utensils, pots, pans, even grilling tongs and spatula. The beds and futon were comfortable. Our cabin was right beside the Moose River.

• Nicole (9/5): Cozy and cute campground near old forge - Great little spot about 10 minutes south of Old Forge. Many spots are right along the river. Cute little campground. Parking at sites is tight though. They do have overflow parking. The beach was a great spot to cool off! Staff were all friendly. A better selection of food and wood to grab in the store would have been nice. A little more room for a car to park at each site.

• Stephanie (9/5): Perfect ADK getaway! - Beautiful setting. Cabin was clean and had everything we needed.
• June (9/5): It was pleasant and beautiful. - Location was great for what we were there for. Enchanted forest and hiking Bald Mountain. Small beach was great for the kids to play in the sand. The management was very friendly. It was mostly good. The beds were a little stiff and there was no shampoo.

• Susanne (7/5): Entlegener, schöner Campingplatz mit gut ausgestatteten Cabins - Schöne Cabin mit 2 Schlafzimmern, Terrasse mit Gelsengitter-sehr praktisch und fein, Hütte direkt am Fluss, damit sehr schöne Aussicht, weitläufige Anlage, Sportplatz mit Bällen, Strand Sehr entlegen, man muss 10min mit dem Auto zum Ort fahren, beim Platz gibt es gar nichts, Betten muss man selbst überziehen, Personal beim Einchecken alles andere als freundlich

• Michelle (10/5): Glamping is the best five stars!!! - Everything 10/10 The only things if I have to say anything, is there are a lot of mosquitoes and we ran out of hot water. But the pros definitely make up for the cons!!!
• Stephen (4/5): Nice location but accomodation unsuitable for a party of adult guests. - Location and Clean. Good for guests expecting campsite facilities. Despite requesting four adult beds-two had to sleep in child bunk beds. The fifth adult as expected slept in a sofa bed but there was no bedding. RReception was closed on our arrival so we could not make these problems known until the following day.

• Wyndie (8/5): Beautiful - It was very easy however they gave me the car passes and forgot to give me the keys and had to return to the office to get the keys when we first arrived! The beds were really hard and hurt my back but other then the cabin was perfect!

• Diane (9/5): First time visitors - We LOVED the lodge but we were kinda disappointed that the yard wasn't fenced in like the pictures looked. We had many campers cutting through our yard. The accomodations were very nice but I'd suggest they put a crockpot and cookie sheets in there. Luckily I brought my own crockpot. Also, I specifically ASKED if it was a Keurig or regular coffee pot and I was told it was a KEURIG so I went out and bought KCups only to find out that the Keurig didn't work very well so I had to buy coffee and filters while I was there. We WILL definitely go back!! The other campers cutting through our yard; looking around at our things!

• Julie (8/5): We had a nice vacation and would stay here again. - It was only a few miles to Old Forge for anything we needed or go out for dinner or icecream. We also took a day to do the theme park, but returned to HTR for a relaxing evening. My kids enjoyed tubing on the river, fishing, the playground, going on bike rides around the campground, and the beach. The only complaints are I wish it was vacuumed instead of swept (including the porch) and the beds were a little more comfortable.
• Tyler (8/5): Very good - It was very comfortable my entire family enjoyed having our own spaces. The master bedroom tv didn't work and the beds were very uncomfortable. There were also not enough pillows.

• Alane (9/5): Overall, I enjoyed it except for being cold inside. I would recommend for hot weather. - Location. Size. Loved the front porch. I also liked the area to hang and store clothes. But only big enough for one person’s things. Families would have a problem with storage since the closest in the main bedroom would not open. Clean for the most part. Not too costly. There were no instructions for using the control for the HVAC unit. Couldn’t get any heat, so it was quite chilly. Also, though the toilet bowl was clean, the surround was quite dirty. I think paper towels should be provided, and the kitchen counter was very small. A lot of housekeeping for the guest at the price.
• Jennifer (8/5): Newly renovated cabins makes this an excellent choice for a family getaway. Especially if you have dogs! - The facility was easily walkable, and it was family and pet friendly. There was limited access to the river.

• Michelle (7/5): Loved cabin but a bit a bit disappointed for paying $255 a night. - Like the newness of cabin, clean. There was cookware and dishes in kitchen. Beach very small, no water access for kayaking from our cabin, had to drive it to the other end of park to launch it, waters very rough, too tough to kayak up rapids. No coffee for coffee pot in cabin, no wood available for fire.

• Alexander (10/5): The best spot EVER! - This place exceeded my expectations. Words can't describe how happy I was! The cabin was more like a luxury apartment, and they have everything you need already there! They say "river view," but the river flows right past your screened in porch. It was absolutely amazing, and I'm already looking into booking next year! My one and only complaint is that the mattresses sucked and I woke up hurting a bit.

• Samantha (10/5): Nothing like my family and I have ever experienced when looking for a short stay. We loved it and will be back. - The location setting was more than expected, absolutely stunning. Will be returning next year. Nothing really to complain about, our second day at our cabin we had an encounter with some grumpy neighbors. But nothing more than a few exchanged words were said and everyone went about their day. It just seemed like someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed that morning.
• Val (9/5): Superb - The Moose River Lodge was fantastic, very clean, and we'll stocked with kitchen items. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The only complaint is that the fire pit is near the septic exhaust and every so often we'd get an unpleasant whiff.

• Danielle (10/5): Absolutely Beautiful and perfect for families! - We were on the beach it was great ! But the campsites and cabins are super close to Eachother, parking is a bit tough, definitely not room for two cars, but absolutely beautiful location , cabins are BEAUTIFUL! We will definitely be back The sites are small and the parking is tough , definitely no room for two cars. My family had a 30 foot long camper and they couldn’t have a fire because the spot was so small the campfire spot was under their awning. Make sure if you have a large camper you specify you need a big space. But again these are small things ; this place is amazing !!! Right on the river! The beach is perfect ! Wish they would close in the boundaries with an actual net, but this place is 10 stars over and over again !
• Nancy (7/5): Good - The staff were very helpful and polite. The cabin we rented was clean and well equipped for our stay. The photos show more space between campers, that was not the case. It makes it difficult with pets being so close to other campers. The lot was small and very close to the river. Not very safe with small children.

• Cieri (10/5): Absolutely perfect!! - We had the best time! Our cabin was perfect and the lot was beautiful! Our kids had so much fun playing in the evening down by the beach and I enjoyed relaxing on our screened in porch listening to the river. We liked everything and look forward to staying again next summer!
• Sherry (10/5): Sometimes pictures are deceiving, but this place was beyond our expectations - it was a PERFECT! - The place was so comfortable! AC was on and felt great. The beds were comfortable. We had some initial issues with not having enough or the right bedding, but the staff came over and even gave extra pillows and blankets in case they were needed. The place was so comfortable! The back deck had a gate so the dogs could go out there. The back was a small yard that opened up to the campground and the little ones could see it and the beach from our spot. Everything was so up to date at the house and the campground was clean with lots to do. The small keurig ran extremely slow - I don't know if it just needed descaling? but when we mentioned it at checkout, they said they were going to take care of that.

It was so nice sitting on the screened in porch and listening to the water. Truly a perfect setting. Parking for 2 cars was a little difficult on my site.
