- Nicholas (9/5): Excellent hotel but poor comms - Excellent room, very clean Hotel doesn’t do dinner on Sunday evenings. We weren’t made aware of this until arrival (on Sunday evening). Hotel is well away from villages so had to travel into Hastings to eat.
- Paul (9/5): Very pleased with the accommodation, location and experience. - Quiet location. Characterful hotel. Friendly and accommodating staff. Nothing really!

- Jackie (9/5): -
- John (9/5): A relaxing stay in lovely surroundings - All staff extremely friendly and helpful. The room was quiet with a lovely view over the field opposite. Food was good and service was quick. Food was very good but as not all meals came with vegetables or salad it would have been good to have a list of side dishes available.
- Gordon (8/5): -
- Julia (9/5): A very comfortable peaceful hotel, nice grounds and very pleasant staff. - The breakfast was very good, they had hot and a good selection of cold. A very big cafetiere of coffee we asked for extra toast and that was no bother either. The evening menu, my husband would have like a bit more selection more meat on the menu.
Nothing the hotel can do but you come out onto a busy road.especially if you want to go right.
- Marzena (8/5): Lovely family run hotel - Quiet and cosy Road leading to it from Rye was poor
- Samuel (8/5): A nice place with friendly staff. It was very good value for money. - It was clean and in a good location. Breakfast was good and the staff were friendly. I would suggest bringing an extension lead as there are not many plug sockets in the room.
- Petrosyan (10/5): Great location and perfect stay - I travelled for work. The location is excellent with plenty of free onsite parking. The place looked loved and well looked after. The room I stayed was immaculate. The onsite restaurant serves lovely meals at reasonable prices. Breakfast was great with plenty of options to chose from. I've booked to go back again in March! Everything was perfect. Would have been nice to have earl grey and herbal teas in the room.
- Bernie (8/5): Very comfortable - Homely, quiet and comfortable Nothing

- Michelle (10/5): A comfortable, quiet stay with an excellent breakfast, and easy parking - We were only there one night to visit friends nearby but the room was spacious, very clean, and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent with a great variety to choose from. There was plenty of parking available, and the hotel was lovely and quiet, making for a very relaxing stay. Nothing
- Alex (10/5): A wonderful stay, thank you. - Wonderful place and I always enjoy my visits. The staff are great.
- Vickie (8/5): Would stay again if working in the area - Lovely hotel, clean and comfortable and ideal for a work trip. Sadly I did not get to sample the breakfast as being the only guest they did not have the kitchen open, this was the only negative.
- julie (9/5): Our stay was very comfortable and relaxing and the staff were very attentive - Everything was excellent, staff were attentive n/a
- Stephanie (10/5): Would recommend - Loved everything about hotel and our stay
- Jon (10/5): We aim to return to this family run hotel and you won’t be disappointed - The Staff, The Room and the Food was excellent. We stayed New Years Eve and have never felt such a genuine welcome from everyone.
We were invited to join them in their function room to celebrate in the New Year and were joined by Local residents and their families as well as other quests.
Mainly for families to be able to take their children to an event….it didn’t bother me us at all as everyone was so friendly. We met the owner Kerry and his son and his family and we came away feeling we had known them for ages.
Highly recommend
Thank you

- Paul and kim (10/5): Enjoyed our 1 night stay - Hello . The Staff were very friendly and polite ✓ nice clean room. Ample car park spaces . What topped it for me was a full English breakfast. Very fresh well cooked and great Cereal choice . . waitress nice and polite.. thank you Paul Kim. 😊 Slightest. Thing. prefer a softer mattress. But probably would suit other people . So not really a negative for other people.

- Anthea (9/5): We enjoyed our stay, and would certainly be happy to return when next in Sussex. - ,Comfortable room, very clean. Breakfast was good, and a good choice of dishes for dinner, which were excellent.
I accidently left a jumper behind, and they dealt with it swiftly and efficiently. The bedroom was too hot in the evening, but a fan was provided.

- Em (1/5): Appalling rooms, food and service. Do not stay here. - The sole positives were the fact that the location is good; and the fact that our little suite also included a private patch of lawn for our son to run around on. The first thing one notices is the unpleasant odour; then one sees the grey, stained carpet and the “reception”, a small desk stuck in a narrow corridor under the stairs. In our suite the fridge was completely empty - no fresh milk or even bottles of water or anything it in at all; only UHT sachets of milk (do people really still use this these days?). In our entrance hall was a little chest of drawers / wardrobe set, with a limited amount of hanging space set quite low down, so if you are hanging dresses they will drape on the floor. When I opened a drawer to place clothes inside, I noticed that the back was hanging off the drawer, in mid-air. We were deeply disconcerted by the fact that the floor of the small bathroom was stained with what looked suspiciously like blood underneath the sink. The sitting area had two badly stained sofas and an MDF-type table with three chairs – one of which was missing a button-cover, thus exposing jagged bits of metal, ready to tear one’s clothing; and the arms of another of which flopped around, no longer properly secured to the body of the chair. The floor was dirty with crumbs and dust. There was a scagged and very dusty wooden / MDF TV stand, with a gouge out of its back and scuffed top, and very dusty shelves. One tiny twin bedroom and one tiny double bedroom completed the set-up, along with very scratched and scuffed walls. The breakfast was appallingly bad - limited choice and the food of an execrable standard. Possibly worst of all, however, was the filthy language that poured forth from the chef in the kitchen, every word clearly audible through the double-doors into the dining room, as he recounted to the waitress his night out the previous night; we found this deeply offensive, especially since we had a young child with us who has not been exposed to such language before. Despite making a strong complaint and asking to speak to the manager (not available, how convenient!), we were still charged £45 for breakfast.
- Suzanne (9/5): A great find. You wont regret staying here. - Small intimate breakfast/dining room. Good pub type food. Great breakfast. Nothing - all good for a small hotel

- William (8/5): Will stay again - Location. Small family hotel.
Bed was comfortable and the breakfast was exceptional.
- John (8/5): Very good -
- Iulia (8/5): Short stay - The location was perfect for visiting the beach in Hastings, and the venue itself was beautifully maintained — green, clean, and peaceful. Our room was quite warm, but a fan was thoughtfully provided, which helped. The lady at reception and serving breakfast the next morning came across as quite unfriendly and unwelcoming. She seemed visibly unhappy to be there, and during breakfast, we had to ask for every single item — including basic things like cutlery and butter for the toast — while all the other tables already had them. There was also no ice available for coffee, despite the 30-degree heat outside, which was disappointing.
- Xabier (9/5): Superb -
- Nicol (10/5): Exceptional -
- Robert (10/5): A peaceful stay in a relaxing well located hotel with great staff. - A well cooked tasty breakfast but did not like boxed orange juice. The evening menu, although limited, had tasty dishes. Hotel set in peaceful, well kept gardens with a gazebo which we ate in. The staff were excellent. We had two rooms overlooking the lawns so both light and airy. The staff were especially polite and attentive. A special shout- out to Molly and Ashley. The bathroom with no windows had an unpleasant smell through lack of airflow. The shower in the other bedroom, although in a big bathroom, was of a very strange design which crowded the user into one corner. A second hand held shower was needed to avoid having soaking hair from the rain shower. The bar was somewhat lacking. There was no bubbly ( despite being on the drinks menu) and only a poor supply of rose too.
- Cm (9/5): Lovely hotel - We stayed here for a party, food was excellent, venue was beautiful, bed very comfortable. Nice touch with the little bottles of products in the bathroom. Breakfast was lovely good choice for everyone and staff were friendly and polite. The only reason I didn’t score the maximum is because there was nowhere in the bathroom to put anything and the layout in the bedroom was a bit odd as no clear surface to put anything on such as makeup bag etc. otherwise I would have scored a10.
- Mirella (8/5): Wonderful scenery. - Parking was great. Our room was spacious, clean, wonderful view of the garden. Staff were friendly but very young and needed a bit of guidance and training. There were lack of options of beer and options for certain items at dinner. Breakfast kitchen ran out of brown bread and it was only 45 mins into service.
mirror in the bathroom and the showered was too high for someone who vertically challenged🤭
- Adrian (8/5): Very pleasant one night stay - Clean well appointed room,
Friendly staff
Good evening meal
Freshly cooked breakfast,
Nice Lounge Area with board games Suited us
- Mixael (5/5): Passable -
- Nisa (4/5): Disappointing - The room is warm enough.
The stuff were nice.
The garden was nice and green. The room, beddings and furnitures smell damp heavily. Could not sleep in the night properly.
The room and bathroom are dusty. They are very old designed and electricity wiring looks very dangerous. Tv is quiet old.
The breakfast is average.
- Maria (5/5): Not 5 star, whoever rates the system needs to revisit. Would not return due to the lack of 5 star quality. Paid £185 for - Allowed us to check in early. Location, the grounds. Curtains in lounge coming off track, not told about private function so couldn’t use the bar area. Cheap 1 ply toilet paper in bathroom.
Asked for lemon and ice in drink ( hottest day of year) arrived without. Asked for it, told the ice had melted on its journey from the kitchen to the dining room, I did get lemon added eventually.
Run out of too many items on menu.
Was not an a la cart menu, more pub menu. I heard the microwave ping, then our dinner was ready, it had no taste. Nothing served with it like popadoms or naan. Expensive for very poor quality.
Breakfast… low and behold, run out of brown bread. Another resident asked for Demerara sugar, girl came back in to say “They had just run out” . A phrase we heard the whole time during our stay. Asked for sausage sandwich, arrived in the thinnest cheap white slices, 5* would have been better quality.
- Gerard (6/5): Pleasant -
- Interlocks (9/5): Superb -
- Robert (9/5): Superb -
- Short (8/5): Very good -
- Clive (7/5): Good - Very pleasant environment Room 3 was too small for 2 adults. Bed was pushed against the wall and gave no easy access to it other than climbing over it. Should have been told in their booking system but wasn't.
- Bosher (8/5): Short stay break. - All the staff are very friendly and helpful, nothing was not too much trouble for them and a Beautiful garden. At the time of booking we were not aware that there was no food available on a Sunday, but they managed to make us some sandwiches.
- Christopher (8/5): Very good -
- Wayne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stuart (8/5): Lovely, relaxing, a place to get away from it all! - Excellent breakfast . Lovely room , spacious with great views over the countryside and what a sunset.
Bed really comfortable.
Didn’t eat in due to exploring the local pubs and inns so can’t pass comment on the dinning - but speaking to the locals , it came highly recommended. Nothing
- Anthony (8/5): Welcoming and enjoyable -
- Mark (8/5): Very good - Breakfast was amazing and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly
- Clive (8/5): Very good - Comfort and food Staff were good but a little shy
- Victoria (7/5): Convenient, clean, quiet, comfortable, friendly, peaceful, good value. - Comfy bed, very clean, nice garden, good parking. Mediocre menu, average pub style food.
- David (10/5): Would stay there again ! - Great location , facilities, comfortable and very clean with friendly and helpful staff Nothing
- Steven (8/5): Very good -
- Lynn (7/5): Ideal location for visiting Hastings and Rye. - Hotel was clean , staff very helpful and friendly. Hotel was a little tried looking and dining room was very depressing.
Breakfast very good. Access to and from main road challenging. Dinning room very small and dark.
