• Hilary (9/5): Lovely stay at Athinais Suites and will definitely return….thank you Athina 😎 - Great location with many restaurants and bars close by, also a car hire place and supermarkets. Apartment was comfortable, very well equipped and spotlessly clean. Lovely owner who was very accommodating and attentive, but not overly so. Only a pretty courtyard view (with many butterflies) but quieter than the upstairs apartments which have a street and sea view.

Sparkling clean rooms and modern design. The bed was super comfortable and the kitchen fully equipped with all the necessarily appliances. I will definitely be coming back!

• Christel (8/5): - Locatie perfect midden in Kouthoulafari. Je loopt in 15 minuten naar Chersonissos toe. We hadden een schoonmaak aangevraagd die hebben we helaas niet gehad. Ook worden de handdoeken niet om de dag verschoond. Er staat een wasmachine dus hebben we zelf gewassen.
• David (1/5): Razocarenje i prevara - Rezervisali smo apartman koji smo i prosle godine ali se ispostavilo da smo dobili umesto na spratu,u prizemlju.Gospodja iz agencije je tvrdila da smo u prizemlju i rezer isali sto nije bilo tacno jer smo na isti nacin rezervisali i prosle godine.Par dana pred dolazak i dalje nismo dobili instrukcije kako da udjemo u aparrman,pa smo ih pozvali pred polazak.Gospodja iz agencije je bila drska i neprijatna i rekla da moramo da platimo jos 200e za decu iako su deca sa nama bila i prosle godine za manju svotu novca nego sada.Razlog za doplatu je bio,kako ona kaze jer deca imaju preko 12g.I prosle god su imali preko 12g ali nam niko to nije trazio.Bila je gruba i drska i par sati pred nas dolazak je rekla da necemo moci da udjemo u app ako ne doplatimo 200e.To je bilo jako lose iskustvo i nikada nam se to nije pre dogodilo.Rekla je zalire se bookingu i ako ne doplatimo,nema nam ulaska u sobu.Na kraju smo bili prisiljeni da platimo zeni koja nas je sacekala na aerodrumu i dali smo joj 200e na ruke.Nikada posle toga nismo dobili racun za doplatu kao ni potvrdu da smo platili.Domacini kuce su jako prijatni ljudi,ali agencija koja izdaje kucu je sramota i neprofesionalan pristup ima sa turistima.Rekla sam da hocu svoj app na spratu a ona je rekla da nema i da je sve to isto.Nije verujte podeum i sprat.Nismo imali prozor ni u sobi,ni u kupatilu i jako se osecalo na ustajalo i budj.Stalno su nam ilazile neke ogromne bube,koje smo morali da izbacujemo svako vece kako nas ne bi izujedale.Nazalost,nismo dobili sto smo pretplatili a i sada na bookingu cena ovog smestaja je manja,nego sto smo mi platili.Dobro razmislite pre nego sto rezervisete da li vam se isplati da vas neka agencija ucenjuje i trazi doplatu za nesto sto ste vec platili.Zalicemo se

• Christina (9/5): Superb - Superb apartment. Everything you could want was provided. Lovely balcony with good view. Very clean and spacious. Excellent location. Water/biscuits on arrival was very welcome Terrible communication from host. I had to send 8 emails/messages before I received a reply. I am registered blind and was assured that the apartment we booked was road/ground level. There were no apartments like this. You either had to go down 2 sets of steps or up one set of steps. We were sent 2 different apartment numbers/security codes and had no response when questioned which one was ours. Pot luck when we got there! If you don't think you ll need to communicate with host then these apartments are ideal, but for this reason we would not book again.
• Joan (10/5): Great apartment in a great location - The apartment was very modern, clean and comfortable. Very spacious and good storage for clothing. The kitchen seemed to be well equipped with tableware etc. and the bathroom had all the necessary toiletries. It was a nice touch providing a face cloth along with the towels. Lovely view of the sea and plenty of restaurants and bars in the vicinity but not at all loud The mattress topper was very thick which some people would love but I need a hard bed. As something like that is a personal preference the management cannot be held responsible and it's not a complaint
• Colin (9/5): Beautiful modern apartment with great views - The apartment is spotless and very modern with everything you need to self cater. The bed was very comfortable. Lovely welcome treats on arrival. Amazing views front and back. Quiet despite being on the main road. Extras including hair straighteners hair dryer iron and board etc. great shower. The description states garden and terrace. Unless you are in a downstairs apartment you have a balcony no terrace. I think the garden is to the side but is covered in stones and full of trees so not really of any use. I sent several emails asking about these areas and if it had an iron as none mentioned and I had to keep asking before I got any response. This said it is a beautiful apartment in a great location. We paid only £440 for a week but it said the full price should have been £800 which I don’t think is a fair price compared to other options with pools etc

• Milovic (10/5): Exceptional - We had an absolutely incredible stay at this apartment in Old Hersonissos. The hosts were fantastic—so welcoming and efficient—and the cleanliness was spotless. The apartment itself was beautifully decorated, with a cosy, modern feel that made it feel like a home away from home. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring we had a great night's sleep every night, and the two air conditioners kept the place perfectly cool. One of the highlights was the most amazing view overlooking the sea, where we enjoyed stunning sunrises and sunsets each day. It was a real treat to wake up to such breathtaking scenery. The apartment was also fully equipped with everything we needed, from hair straighteners and dryers to a well-stocked kitchen and luxurious toiletries. The location was perfect too, with bars, tavernas, restaurants, and shops just a few steps away. We indulged in delicious Greek food every day and loved the convenience of having everything so close. We were so blown away by the whole experience that we're already planning to book the same apartment for next year. A big thank you to Athinais Suites!

• Sofia (10/5): Amazing place in Crete - The accomodation is perfect, really new and clean. The host is super kind, I really suggest you. The position is excellent located in a particular and traditional road full of bars and fancy restaurants and even five minutes by car to the sea.

• Klára (9/5): Superb - We loved this new, spacious apartment. It is located on a beautiful street full of life, with good restaurants and shops. Cleaning was superficial, especially in the bathroom (toilet was not cleaned!).
• Steven (6/5): Not very helpful host - The bed was comfortable and the kitchen had enough cooking utensils. Before we booked the property we were searching for a property with available parking. We noticed that this one mentioned parking so we booked it. Once we arrived there wasn’t parking parking available and we had to park on the street far away. We called the host and he told us that we can just park on the street. The issue is that he was ironic and said that maybe we are unable to read. There were so many other options available nearby with parking too. If you come in a busy season then forget it. It gets too crowded.

• Michael (10/5): Exceptional - We stayed at the brand new Athinais rooms in Koutouloufari in Herakleion, Crete 07-15 July 2023. The rooms are situated in this beautiful little village, which has so many shops cute shops, bars and restaurants for every taste and budget, as well as veing only a very short drive from the mainstream Hersonisso area . OK now the rooms .... beautiful, spacious, bright, modern, fully equipped kitchen, hot water, aircon, 2 TVs, closet space, all necessary appliances, including hair gadgets and an amazing view to the sea from the balcony. The loveliest landlord's, which had left us wine, coffee and toast stuff, sweets, local cookies, and water bottles in the fridge. Very welcoming and hospitable people surrounded us during our stay, making us feel like we were home away from home. Absolute must visit the area, stay at Athinais and enjoy the Cretan culture with the Koitoulouifari local touch! Thank you Athena and Mano !!!!!! Until next time, Michael and Nancy.
