Matthew (8/5): We had a great stay in Villasimius and the house was an excellent base to explore the south east of the island. - As a new build the house was great - clean, well equipped, excellent inside and out. Location wise - 10 minute walk and you’re into the Main Street, the two beach is a 40 minute walk away, we hired a car so spent a lot of the time driving to loads of beautiful beaches. You have 3 large supermarkets 2 minutes away and the Saturday market in 5 minutes walk away. Our only disappointment with the property is the swimming pool. As the house is part of an development the 2 swimming pools are shared and due to Italian law can only be used when a lifeguard is present. That meant access is restricted to 10.00 to 13.00 on Saturday and Sunday, and 16.30 to 20.00 all week. It’s not the property owners fault, but we were expecting to be able to swim morning through to early evening. On top of that you have to wear swimming hats, which is not an issue, just something we were not aware of.
