Guest Reviews
- Marion (4/5): -
- Aj (10/5): - Excellent stay and they stayed awake for me 2 arrive late at night for check in with our baby. Highly recommended. Also got the heat pump going for us warmed up room for baby’s arrival
- Maria (8/5): Very good! - Apart from it being abit stuffy, I ended up enjoying my stay, roomy, comfortable - would stay in the same room again. The grounds need some tender loving on the outside and the office needs a bit of cleaning, but other than that my stay for the night was very good.
- Stephen (8/5): Lovely location - Half was point in a trip , so all we asked for is clean and good price. And that's what we got. Gardens needed work but did not affect our stay
- Shane (9/5): -
- Graham (7/5): -

- margiebro (7/5): Adequate - Due to lack of available places to stay in Tokoroa we didn’t have high expectations. However, our bed was clean and comfortable and the water in the shower was hot. Didn’t need much else for an overnight stop. The people running it were lovely
- Sally (8/5): Clean and comfortable and great value for money. - Very spacious with lots of parking in a rural setting. Gardens/yard a bit unkept.
- Wayne (6/5): - A classic 70’s motel
Rustic but comfortable Bed was pretty out dated

- Tom (4/5): - Property is handy to Tokoroa. Staff friendly and nice. Rooms are very dated. Bed super hard. Curtains are pretty much see through, so room was full of light all through the night. Shower curtain had mould on it, so it probably hadn’t been changed between me and the previous person as room wasn’t damp. I had to tighten up door lock as it was falling off.
- Richard (8/5): A spacious room for an economy price - Having spent a few days in a shoe box sized room in Auckland, this motel room was palatial by comparison. The room was large and had all the facilities needed for an overnight stop. Would gladly have stayed in it longer. Very good value for money and pleasant, welcoming hosts. Facilities a little dated but that was fine because it kept the price down. Nothing really to dislike.
- John (4/5): The price was very cheap considering it was holiday season but in order to stay in business they need to update their s - It was an enjoyable overnight quiet stay. The manager and his wife were quite hospitable. Toaster didn’t work.
Towels very old and torn. No hand towel, dishcloth, flannel.
No instructions on how to operate appliances, no local directory re town services.

- Mike (6/5): Quiet stay. - Quiet location More linen. Hand towel and face cloth would have been great.
- Larina (1/5): -
- Tony (6/5): - Bed and bathroom and air conditioner. Door lock jammed a lot, cobwebs, dirty door windows, very shabby curtains. More like workers temporary accommodation than a motel.
- Patterson (6/5): -
- John (5/5): - Friendly
Available
Clean
Tidy Light outside the window came on and off all night
- Ann (4/5): Staff good. Clean and tidy room. - Clean and tidy No hand towels and the only water available was in the bathroom as no sink in kitchen. It felt like it was a bit unhygienic. Couldn’t wash dishes unless you did it in bathroom.
- Richard (8/5): Very good -
- Tohill (5/5): Okay for a basic stay - We only needed a basi bed for the night and an early departure and it did the job required Basic but adequate facilities
- Scott (8/5): Great - Good location and good value for money.
- Divane (9/5): Superb - Quiet
- Sonam (3/5): Poor -
- Bin (3/5): Poor -
- Karmelo (8/5): Very good -
- Marilyn (7/5): Good - It's off the main road & had a tranquil feel. Needs an updated.
- Jianhui (8/5): Very good -
- Lovey (6/5): Pleasant - It was out in the country away from everything
- Mary (7/5): Good - Very helpful and friendly staff. The building is old but clean and comfortable
- Jasmine (5/5): Might not book again. - I’ve been to Tokoroa a lot, I’d probably stay at Clifton Court next time tho. The bed was too hard. I didn’t stay over night I stayed for a little while.
- Greg (7/5): It's basic, clean, tidy and service is good - Nice semi rural location. Helpful staff Shower went cold after about 10min which is barely enough for 2 showers. No flannels provided only towels. Frogs croaking outside all night-not a big deal though. You can hear the traffic on SH1 but not too disruptive. Double bed not queen size but that's expected anyway.
- Faye (6/5): Great potential - location easy to get too..
Roomy Studio, separate bedroom, large bathroom,
Clean, fresh linen, comfy bed..Cheap price First impression not good..
Run down..Grounds overgrown..Office messy..
Needs money injected into modernising revamping..Easy tidy up..
- Gordon (6/5): Pleasant - We only wanted a rest for the night at a reasonable price. This was met.
The setting is lovely , we enjoyed a walk to both ends of the street. Bed a little uncomfortable
Needs a kitchen sink.
- Georgios (8/5): Very good -
- Henrietta (5/5): Passable - good for one night stay no hair dryer
- Rueben (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely and nice people
- Frances (7/5): Good -
- Jaeden (8/5): Exceptionally friendly service. Would stay here again 'cause of the availability, cost and location. - Met everything essential. Many more beds than expected. Small golf crew and I(3people) could've easily fitted in 1 stay, booked a 2nd room just in case. Would return again considering price and late bookings 24hrs prior. Quality was a shock for 1 person. Another person didn't feel comfortable to use the shower due to no hot water running in the kitchen sink. Boiling jug and heater was the solution.
