• Patricia (9/5): joli appartement confortable et bien situé - L'appartement est très plaisant, la cuisine est bien équipée et fonctionnelle. la salle de bain est très bien également. Le coin salon et coucher est cosy. L'appartement est très bien situé à Portree. Petit bémol pour la salle de bain, rien pour suspendre les vêtements et les serviettes. Pas de support non plus pour mettre la valise. Pas de place de parking mais un parking public à proximité (3 min à pied) et abordable (en mai, £4 à £5 la nuit). le prix de la nuitée reste tout de même élevé.
• John (8/5): Séjour presque parfait ( nettoyage du hall s’impose) - Logement central, bien équipé, avec machine à laver. Lorsqu’on rentre dans la hall, c’est très sale, cela manque d’entretien. Logement au deuxième étage
• Manuela (10/5): Cozy, beautiful and great location! - Besides from being beautifully decorated, well equipped and comfortable, the location is great! The host was responsive and helped us when necessary. Would definitely recommend! Do note there are two flight of stairs, so if you have big luggage, going up is a good exercise! Pressure on the shower could be higher! But I know this is mostly an engineering problem.

• DIANNE (8/5): Perfect location but be warned apartment only has heat in one room. - Location was perfect, very central in Portree. It looks like a newly remodeled space. Bathroom was large and shower was spacious. There was no heat except in the bedroom area. The bath and kitchen were quite chilly given temps in the 30’s at night. Walking in from the street the foyer is a bit dirty.

• Marie-José (9/5): Perfect base for exploring Skye - This apartment is quite ideal. I loved the bed/living room looking out over the square, the kitchen is very well equiped and the bathroom has natural light and is very spacious. If you are travelling by public transport you can sit on the couch till the bus arrives and after you get back from a day out, you roll straight into the front door. Perfect for me! Like a lot of places in Scotland the apartment has an electrical shower. Poos presure, very hard to regulate temperature and at one point it stopped working all together. Luckily the owner is alligned with the hotel next door where they offered to use their showers, but better still: they got their maintainence man to look at the shower and he fixed it. Problem solved. So that is a big plus. The stairwell and enterance is a bit of a mess, but I guess the owner of this flat cannot do much about that.

The house entrance was so dirty that I thought oh my god where did I land… and the apartment should have a folder on how certain things work… it was freezing cold as I could not figure out how to work the heater in the living/bedroom and the bathroom. Contacted host but no reply. Price a bit excessive.

Our stay at MacDonald House was nothing short of fantastic! The accommodations were spotless, beautifully decorated, and felt both modern and warmly welcoming. The room had everything you could possibly need — a fridge, freezer, microwave, full stove, toaster, kettle, and even a washing machine! It was like having our own little home in the middle of Portree. The location couldn’t be better, right in Portree Square, close to restaurants, shops, and the harbour. After a long day exploring the Isle of Skye, it was wonderful to come back to such comfort — the reclining leather chair was a dream, the climate control kept the room perfect, and the water pressure was excellent. Everything was immaculately clean, and you can tell the owners take great pride in their property. We would absolutely stay here again — MacDonald House is the perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and Highland hospitality! Not a thing - just incredible!!

Molt recomenable No és una queixa, però crec que estaria bé que a l'apartament hi hagués una cafetera. Sé que al Regne Unit és més comú prendre te, però si l'apartament és turístic també s'ha de pensar que mitja Europa acostuma a prendre cafè, no? Hi havia tetera però no cafetera
• Paweł (9/5): - The small apartment is located on Portree's main square. The apartment was very clean and the bed was quite wide and comfortable. Basic spices such as pepper and salt would be useful. The lack of phone reception at the beginning was a little worrying, especially in an emergency.
• Robin (10/5): Best spot in Portree - This is a top spot. Lots of room. All the amenities you need and in the centre of town. I doubt you'll find any better than this. 10 out of 10.. Would like to have met our hosts.
• Aaron (10/5): Amazing experience in a wonderful flat! Perfect spot to use as a home base while exploring the Isle of Sky! - Great spot on the square in Portree. Walkable to all Portree pubs, restaurants, and nearby scenic sites. Very clean flat with a great kitchen and other modern amenities. We really would have liked for there to have also been a clothes dryer. The clothes washer was great, and a rack was provided for drying our clothes. But, if we’d been any busier, we wouldn’t have had time to wait for our clothes to dry and therefore wouldn’t have been able to wash them.

• Richard (7/5): Good - Entry to house is a communal area, which had used cigarette butts in a glass of water on the doorstep, and was in general unpleasant. The flat however was really lovely, clean and comfy. Pricy though
• Theresa (9/5): Great apartment in the heart of Portree. - Perfect location in the center of Portree. Great views. The room had not been cleaned after the previous guest. An oversight that was quickly corrected. We mentioned this to our hostess at the restaurant across the street just in conversation and she was so helpful and contacted the appropriate people to get the room cleaned. They gave us a free delicious meal at the hotel restaurant next door. The apartment was so nice and spacious. The view was spectacular. Despite the initial issue, we absolutely loved our stay.
• Ivan (8/5): Almost the perfect place in Portree to stay if parking was included and a dryer for your clothes! - Very central Portree location. A block and a little bit away from the Lisigarry Parking Lot which is fine. It's in a square where all the buses pick and drop people off. Police station a few doors down across the street. That's why the front door is left unlocked. Property is on 3rd floor where you just pick up the keys on the counter. Place is pretty decent sized. Clean and comfortable. Does have laundry machine. Paid parking overnight. No dryer for your washed clothes so you better be staying a few nights so your clothes have time to dry. Would be nice to provide extra drying rack and more hangers.
• Christina (10/5): Clean renovated property - Clean renovated property. Big shower and had shampoo, conditioner and lotion. Also, had laundry soap, coffee/tea and milk available. Very easy stay, no issues. Not an issue but is up 2 flights of stairs.
• Rjw3110 (9/5): Portree Centre Property - Well finished property, good location for the centre of Portree and facilities. Very light and airy. Bed was very comfortable. Salt and pepper not provided, would be a helpful. Second floor which was ok for us but may be an issue for people with mobility issues.

Keys were picked up (and left upon departure) on the kitchen counter but neither front security door or apartment door were locked.

• Perry (8/5): Very good - Convenient location, nice apartment. Arrival instructions could have told about parking. Nearest lots are short term (2 hrs.) small and often full. Across the street and a short walk away is the long term parking, plenty of room, and can get 24 hours for 5bp to come and go as you please. Would have been nice to know this in advance of arrival. The refrigerator was not on, and we couldn't get the outlet turned on. Switched it with the freezer and it worked, and we didn't really need the freezer. Refrigerator and freezer should both be on for incoming guests.
• Tutt (8/5): Very good - Great location for all of our activities. It was well equipped. A brush was provided for doing dishes however, a dish cloth for cleaning the counter would have been helpful. Entry to the building was never locked. We were under the impression is was to be kept locked.

• Paul (9/5): Perfect apartment in a great spot. - Easy self check-in, modern apartment looks brand new, beautiful decor, well equipped, excellent kitchen, washer a big plus. Winding stairway well built was not a problem for us, but would be difficult with big rolling bags.

Microwave and cooking facilities all good so no need to eat out after a long , and cold, day sightseeing. Added bonus was the clothes washer. Right in the middle of town so close to shops. Parking a fair way off but you can drive to the front door and unload bags. Very comfy bed sitting room. It was very nice but a lot of stairs to reach the third floor. Shower, like all UK bnbs looked the part but a bit dodgy. Can’t fault that though it’s something to do with the UK.
• Hmoraga (9/5): A lovely but expensive place to stay - In front of the downtown square of Portree It's expensive for what they have to offer. I didn't saw anyone for indications or welcoming. I had for indications. The place is not pointed correctly in google maps.
