• Katherine (10/5): Intercom Grounds made a delightful stay for us. - It was super clean, communicating with the host via email was very easy, and they were very nice. It had a wonderful kitchenette and table. They even provided a toaster as well as a first aid kit which we used. It had interesting books on the shelf to read. We also sat on the front .porch enjoying the sun and the next door neighbor's cute dog
• Imran (8/5): Nice and busy area, shops and stations are not far. - It was very close to airport and shops were not far as well. No one disturbed us during stay. Very clean and bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was very tiny and if your height is above 5.8" then very difficult to have shower because ceiling is very low and you can't stand up properly. 1-2 steps should be made to go to bathroom because it is 1.5 feet high from room floor.

• Robert (6/5): A modest place to stay... - The location is quite convenient for access to transportation (bus, LIRR train and subway), literally 5 minutes walk to Sutphin Terminal. There were nice little amenities like a microwave, a toaster and even an umbrella. And leaving fresh toothbrushes and toothpaste for the guests was thoughtful. Also, having hand soap, bodywash, shampoo and conditioner all available similar to resort-style hotels was a nice touch as well. It isn't in the best of areas...but we were spending all our time in other parts of NYC. However, returning in the evenings was a sketchy experience. Thankfully there is decent police presence around the neighbourhood. Many people have mentioned that it is in a basement apartment, which was okay. However, waking up to the thumping of a small child running around above you every morning was less and desirable. The ceiling is very low, especially in the bathroom. If you are over 5'8" tall this place will not be a good fit for you....literally.

El alojamiento es literalmente el sótano de una casa privada y, aunque la entrada es desde una puerta independiente, el espacio carece hasta de condiciones de habitabilidad. Sin ventilación, sin ventanas y sin apenas iluminación. En la mayoría de espacios, la altura incluso no supera los 1.80m. A la llegada, el anfitrión no nos recibió y tuvimos que esperar horas desde que llegamos hasta recibir la contraseña de acceso al alojamiento. Y por si fuera poco, el barrio no es seguro e ir/llegar al apartamento se convierte en una pesadilla cada vez que lo piensas: personas drogándose, suciedad y situaciones desagradables. La experiencia ha sido tan traumática que, tras la primera noche allí, optamos por reservar un hotel en Manhattan gastando mucho más dinero. A futuros viajeros, os recomendamos encarecidamente evitar esta estancia y este lugar porque, por nuestra parte, hemos quedado muy decepcionados con la percepción que nos ha dado la ciudad de Nueva York.

• Julie (5/5): - Great shower pressure, super comfy bed, great iron and toaster. Host was wonderful to communicate with. Such a small space with low ceilings. Neighborhood was a bit sketchy, although everyone I spoke to was really kind.

• Mila (9/5): Was wel leuk!! - Het was heel schoon en lekker dicht bij de metro en trein station. Ik ben 1,85m en helaas kon ik niet overal recht op staan maar verder niks te klagen.

• Julie-ann (8/5): A great apt for a short stay - The location was good. The place was clean, lots of clean towels, dishes, cups, glasses, fridge, microwave and even a first aid kit. The host responded to messages in a timely manner . There was a train station about 10 minutes walk away. The apt didn't come with a sofa bed as advertised on Booking.com. My sister had to sleep on a sofa that didn't open out. I asked about that and received an explanation but that was a major thing because I needed two beds. Also there was no dish detergent. We had to wash our cups with hand soap. A small amount of dish soap would have been useful so we can clean up the dishes.

• Peter (8/5): Very good - Clean and very convenient for the Jamaica Station. Being 6’3”, there were low ceilings. Anyone over 6’1”, watch out…but I’d stay there again.

• Lisa (10/5): Definitely of good value - Mohammed is an exceptional host. There were no issues and the accommodations are good. Close to Sutphin Blvd. (main area of Queens) and Carmichael’s breakfast…..omg! Anyone booking here would definitely enjoy their stay. My new home when I travel back and forth.

• Nabil (6/5): It's a pleasant stay but I'd like it more if the description and the picture were accurate. - Location is good, close to airtrain and restaurants.the unit is very clean and has a free high speed wi-fi. Bed is very comfortable and very clean. The description and the name are ground but the unit is underground unit (basement). The bathroom has a step up about a feet above the floor level which makes it very difficult for older person to enter the bathroom, especially with the low ceiling inside the bathroom. Also in the description said it has a sofa bed but it's only loveseat not sofa bed which is not opening as a bed.
