Guest Reviews
- Patryk (8/5): -
- Alisha (9/5): Nice and close to everything we wanted to see. - Very convenient location. Clean and comfortable. It got quite cold at night and the heater air conditioner in the yellow room didn’t work. We also missed the coffee table and rug shown in the pictures of the living room.
- Lorna (8/5): -

No cambiaría mi elección
- Eleftheria (7/5): -
- Michaela (7/5): Schöner Aufenthalt - Die Lage
- Fredrika (9/5): -
- Hervorragende Lage. Nur 2 Gehminuten bis zum Pantheon. Bushaltestellen in direkter Nähe.
- Karla (10/5): -
- ömer (10/5): First of all, Rome is a perfect place to stay in Rome. Perfect in location. The house is very nice. You can find everyth - Özellikle konumu. Evin genişliği ve her ihtiyaca cevap vermesini. -
- Victoria (10/5): -
- Mária (9/5): nádherné ubytovanie v centre Ríma, self check in, self check out - - lokalita je perfektná, priamo v centre, pri Panteone, blízko všetky známe miesta - Panteon, fontána di Trevi, Španielske schody, námestie Navona...
- Teresa (10/5): Loved it! - Space, location Nothing
- linh (10/5): -
- Kevin (6/5): Good location but tired - Great location, close to Pantheon. Air conditioners. The place is a bit tired and floors needed cleaning. Does not reflect the photos. The place needs maintenance, especially the loose second bottom step on stairs. Noisy from street below. Electronic door entry almost never worked but there was an emergency key. Never once did the owner/manager make contact - this is the only place we stayed at that we had no contact whatsoever from the owner.
- Graham (10/5): - All of it Need a second set of keys
- Suzanne (9/5): Loved this place - We loved this apartment - so much character, amazing building, a great size for a family of 5, and an excellent location.Alice was an excellent host and everything was clean, tidy and thought out. The only problems were very, very minor and not worth mentioning - Have seen other reviews complaining about water pressure etc, it is an old building in a city centre and everything works just fine, exactly as it should.
- Justin (10/5): Alice was an amanzing host. Replies within minutes and gave clear instructions. Location was in the centre and everythin - The property was clean, in the centre and beautiful architecture. Nothing.
- Perigo (10/5): Exceptional - The location was perfect. Minutes away from the Pantheon. The apartment was huge and had a lot of charm. Nothing
- Stephen (9/5): Amazing stay, perfectly positioned, recommended for anyone. - Loved the combination of old and new.
The property was perfectly positioned for a walk around the sights of Rome and close to so many trattorias. Was very warm during our stay, which is not under the control of our host, and the air con in the lounge was struggling to cope with the heat.
- Mohammad (8/5): Very good - Location
- Rochelle (6/5): Pleasant - The location was superb and the apartment was spacious for 6 of us. The beds were very comfortable This property is very original. The shower is extremely tiny and quite difficult to manage. The front door opening took some practise too and was tricky
- Andy (8/5): We always make the best of the situation! Although bathrooms not accessible the apartment was great! - The flat was stunning and Alice could not have been more helpful. A wonderful host! The apartment was warm and cozy, TV's in every room, beds super comfy! Limited supplies of tea/coffee etc left in there but there is a shop right next door, It's an Air B&B not a hotel remember! Rubbish is really well recycled so my tip would be to take rubbish down daily so you don't have to sort it all in one big lump. The apartment is pretty much in the centre of everything. None of the major sites were more than 30 mins walk away and the piazza is near to the main road (no cobbles as a path) There wer loads of guides and books inside to help you plan your trip and there was even a drawer full of chargers in case you had forgotten yours. My only suggestion to make things better would to have a supply of city maps that people could take out with them. I would happily return to this apartment and Alice really helped make it a wonderful trip! The apartment is described as 'accessible'. It is not! Although there is a lift and level entrances, none of the bathrooms could be easily accessed. You cannot be alone to enter as both doors need unbolting to gain access. Wheelchairs will not fit through the doors to get to any of the bathing facilities. Single toilet - sink in the way to get to toilet. Shower room - door to narrow to get in and does not lock. Bathroom - not enough space to turn chair in and step to access. I had to brush my teeth etc in the kitchen sink. If you have some mobility or upper body strength then you can adapt and manage. As a T6 Para I managed well enough. It's an ancient city, accessibility will always be hit and miss. The 'Tourist Tax' could have been mentioned sooner in the booking process. We paid 6 Euro's per head, per night. Most Cities have them now so not unexpected but knowing beforehand would've allowed us to have the cash ready in what is today, a cashless world.
- Ylenia (8/5): All in all it was a good a very good stay - The location! Location was perfect and very comfortable beds The door lock it was not very user friendly
- Pickett (8/5): Fabulous location with access to major attractions. Spacious rooms. - Apartment is in fabulous location, minutes from key tourist attractions. Spacious and easy access with host meeting us. Very comfortable beds. Nice ventilation if needed. Good heating and air conditioning. Upstairs attic/loft was spacious. Apartment was a little dark however this is understandable given the age of the building. Shower with overhead nozzle was very very small, seperate bath only had hand held nozzle if showering. Stairs going up to third room were wobbly so would be ideal for a teenager but not a heavy adult.
- Winskill (8/5): Very good -
- Nadia (9/5): Charming and central - Location and size We had difficulty with openning the door
- Nicola (9/5): Superb - Location is absolutely superb. Apartment is spotless and has everything you need. Alice was very helpful and gave us all the details in advance. Would highly recommend this apartment 😁
- Joshua (10/5): Exceptional -
- John (9/5): Great location, and lovely place to stay and enjoy the best of Rome ! - Location
- Jonathan (7/5): Good -
- Donka (9/5): The best location in Rome! - We loved the decor and the apartment's location. Being next to the Pantheon is the perfect location for a break in Rome. The apartment was full of history, and the bedrooms were tastefully decorated. Showers! The shower in bathroom 1 was tiny; you could barely turn around. The other bathroom had a bath, but the bath was blocked, and the hand-held shower on the bath had low pressure. However, this was small price to pay to enjoy the amazing location.
- Joyce (9/5): Superb -
- Ashleigh (8/5): Very good - Location was excellent. Huge apartment, very comfortable for 6 adults. Host was lovely. Was nice to have some space with the living and dining rooms. The bathrooms are small but do everything you need them to.
- Kelly (10/5): A stones throw from anything you could wish to see. Get lost in the streets and soak up all Rome has to offer. Everythin - You can’t beat this location. We loved it. Walking distance to everything you could possibly want to see in the heart of Rome! There wasn’t anything we didn’t like.
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sanita (9/5): Superb - Location is great, huge appartment!
- Andrea (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alexandru (10/5): Exceptional -
- Maisy (10/5): Perfect central location for our first trip to Rome - Exceptional location, great for touring Rome for the first time. Super comfy beds and very friendly, helpful host. Only thing worth mentioning is that it’s quite loud at night owing to it’s location. Worth taking ear plugs if you prefer to sleep with the window open (which we did as it was super hot)!
- Jaimee (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sandra (9/5): Comfortable, roomy apartment in the heart of Rome! - Location, location, location! The bathtub/shower situation and limited hot water
- Sharon (9/5): Exellent, I will recomend on this to others. - We met the host at the property. Got expelenations.
elevator, comfort. Location. 2nd floor stairs are shaking.
- Kris (8/5): Excellent location, close to grocery store, restaurants, Pantheon. Could use some updating - even though we arrived late, we were given instructions and met by host The stairs to the upstairs loft bed are quite precarious and seem like they need refurbished. The furniture on the very small balcony could use replacing. The apartment, though large in size has a strange flow. The shower in one of the bathrooms is really too small for an adult to use. The living room furniture could use updating. The building itself seems to house a lot of offices, never saw any other residents and it felt a little odd going in and out.
- Cynthia (10/5): Comfort, Well Appointed and Clean - Alice(Alicia), our host, is a true gift to her guests, including the 2 of us.She tends to every detail impeccably. The word comfort comes to mind when we describe this well appointed 3 bedroom apartment.(our friends stayed over before returning home the next day. They also appreciated the many black and white framed photographs.)
The apartment has a lift which after a day of walking on Rome's pavers is a welcome sight.
The soaking tub is a plus plus.
The beds are so comfortable and the quiet of the apartment serves to create a good night's rest.
The location was perfect for our needs as this was our third trip to Rome, and we wanted to revisit many of the areas near the Pantheon, to include Piazza Navonna, La Fontana de Trevi,
so many churches with Caravaggio paintings, our favorite rooftop for a cold drink, our favorite bakery Il Fornaio, and so many very good restaurants, many suggested by Alicia.
We cannot wait to return and stay at Suite Rondanini, next time for longer still.
- Katherine (9/5): Location, space, cleanliness, hosts all 5 star -- we would definitely stay there again. - The apartment location was excellent. Located between Piazza Navona and the Pantheon it was so easy to walk to either. There was also a large grocery store just behind the apartment building and of course lots of food places.
We were 6 adults (3 couples) and we really appreciated all the space -- it is unusual to find an apartment with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms (2 full baths and one toilet). We also appreciated that the apartment was located close to a quiet intersection (next to the toy store on the corner) where it was very easy to find a taxi. We really appreciated the washing machine and ample drying racks. The kitchen was well-stocked with pans and utensils enough for us to make toast and eggs for breakfast. I have mobility issues and appreciated the lift. They also provided bathrobes for everyone which was appreciated. It was a little noisy into the night but not really more than I expect being in the middle of such a popular location.
One of the beds downstairs was concave in the middle so you tended to roll to the middle. One bathroom has a shower only and the shower was very small so we found it easier to shower in the other bathroom where there was a tub with a hand shower.
(8/5): Very good - + the location - two blocks from the Pantheon and within walking distance of most sights
+ home away from home feeling
+ there are actually 2 toilet-bathrooms (1 smaller, but still there and functioning), + an additional toilet - beds were not very comfortable
- noisy doors
- Gerald (9/5): 6 visit Roma - The location is superb. The Pantheon is literally round the corner.
The apartment is very spacious and easily held 6 adults.
Alice was excellent in helping us when our flight was delayed and was very friendly. The stairs to the upper floor bedroom could have been more solid.
- Gotham (9/5): Superb -
- Marie (8/5): Very good -
- John (8/5): Very good - Great location and the spacious rooms -
- Cathy (9/5): Superb -
- David (1/5): Dreadful apartment with only one positive, the location - Location, that's all. The property was falling to bits, it was in a very bad state of repair and dirty. We were a family travelling with my 76 year old mother, in the morning noone was able to have a shower as the shower cubicle and shower itself were very old and the water would not adjust properly and scalded my mother. Noone could get it to work properly. In the second bathroom there was a decrepit over bath shower without a hook and again the temperature was impossible to adjust and when it did you had to hold the shower to shower yourself.
Everything in the apartment was falling apart, including the coffee table with the detached legs, one evening my mother was in the lounge and the table collapsed on her foot because of the loose legs. In addition to this the stairs leading to the upstairs bedroom were loose and old and had exposed screws that weren't screwed in fully and hurt our feet.
The beds were also very old with mattresses that dipped in the middle and made sleep very uncomfortable.
The kitchen was dirty and the microwave seemed like it hadn't been cleaned inside for months.
Also, the apartment is a danger to health. In the second bathroom with the shower over bath, the water sprays on the wall which has a light switch on it, if not careful with this, water can enter the light switch and electricute anyone in the shower.
Also, endless cables with several plugs coming out, a sure fire hazzard.
This apartment is not worth the expense and we were so close on the first night to get a hotel. We had travelled throughout Italy from Venice, to Florence, to Naples and then finally to Rome. All our bookings on Booking.com were fabulous apart from this one, which ruined our stay in Rome. Do yourself a favour, do not book this accomodation. Booking.com should investigate this property for health and safety reasons.
- Catherine (9/5): Superb -
- Marbeth (9/5): Fantastic stay in Rome - Location was very central. Alice was a great host and we were able to drop off our luggage as we had arrived early in the day.
- Anonymous (10/5): very nice historic building and the staff is super friendly. The location is perfect and we really enjoyed staying at Ro -
- Marybeth (10/5): Everything was good. - Umbrellas were left for guest use which was a very thoughtful and useful feature as it rained while we were there. Consider bringing earplugs as the location is very central and can be noisy in the night.
- Sydney (10/5): Exceptional - Alice was very communicative and attentive. The home was absolutely stunning and surprisingly large. Prime location in a very secure and historic building. The decor was lovely and we felt like royalty!
