- sharron (9/5): Japie is a gent :) - Japie was very personable and kind. The communications before we arrived were positive and he welcomed us with a cheery smile and friendly approach. He escorted us to the local off licence as we may have felt intimidated, it was much appreciated. He was helpful and offered to advise us on anything, e.g. local restaurants, bars, shops, activities etc. He said if we need him for anything at all, just to ask. Due to the climate/weather, we felt chilly in the studio. Japie brought us a portable electric fire when we said we were chilly. This helped and was appreciated. We found the bathroom to be cold and not comfortable to use, hence we didn't have a shower. Some form of heating would be beneficial.

- Andrea (10/5): - Many thanks to Annette (the owner) for the very warm welcome and the good tip concernig the "Taste - restaurant & farmstall", which was fantastic. @theBlueHouse is such a lovely and quiet place that it was a pity we only stood for one night. The accomodation was wonderfully peaceful and it was a joy to watch the chicken with their baby-chicks running through the wide and beautiful garden. Due to broad range of activities the region offers, it is actually a must to stay longer next time.

Japie, der Inhaber war sehr freundlich und erklärte uns alles sehr genau. Das Zimmer ist in einem Anbau seines eigenen Hauses und liegt wunderschön mit Blick auf den gepflegten Garten. Wir mussten leider sehr früh anreisen, und konnten uns daher nicht wirklich bei Japie bedanken, was wir aber hiermit gerne nachholen. Nichts

Man ist inmitten der Natur und mit Blick in den wunderschönen Garten, nebst den 15 frisch geschlüpften Küken. Es war wie im Paradies! Die Ausgangslage für Unternehmungen perfekt. Ob Wanderungen, Strände, Restaurants oder andere sportliche Aktivitäten. Leider waren wir viel zu kurz da. Es gibt gar nichts zu bemängeln!

- Uwe (10/5): Sehr gute Adresse in Stormsrivier - The Blue House liegt in einem sehr schönen und großen Garten und ist Teil des Hauses von Japie und Annette. Alles ist blitzsauber, das Bett es sehr bequem und die Ausstattung genügt völlig den Ansprüchen. Die Gastgeber sind sehr diskret und man kann den Blick ins Grüne auf der Terrasse ungestört genießen. Restaurants und mancher Hike lassen sich zu Fuß erreichen, Sicherheit ist kein Thema. Wir haben den Aufenthalt und die Gespräche mit Japie & Annette sehr genossen und können @thebluehouse nur empfehlen.

The host was very nice and helpful with everything that we needed. The room had a very nice garden view and we enjoyed the braai area in the garden a lot. Also located very centrally in town. Honestly, there was nothing that I did not like. I will highly recommend it to anyone, and I will definitely stay there again. The room was everything we wanted it to be and more, and therefore, I have nothing to complain about.

- Marjan (10/5): Geweldig om hier te verblijven - We werden zeer warm en hartelijk ontvangen door Japie en Anette. Prachtige, schone, ruime kamer met van alles voorzien. Heerlijk bed. Fijne veranda om buiten te zitten in de prachtige tuin. Alles op loopafstand bereikbaar. Hosts willen je met van alles helpen. -
- Ralf (10/5): Ein tolles B&B im schönen Stormsrivier am Rande des Tsitsikamma NP - Wir hatten in unserem bisherigen Südafrikatrip schon viele wirklich gute Unterkünfte, aber das @theBlueHouse ist unser Favorit. Hier passt alles: mit Japie und Annett tolle, sympathische Vermieter, ein schönes, geschmackvoll eingerichtetes Apartment mit einem wunderschönen Garten und Küchenzeile, ruhig gelegen in einem netten Ort mit sehr guten Restaurants! Dazu kommt die sehr gute Lage (10 Minuten Fahrt) zum Tsitsikamma Nationalpark. Wir würden sofort wiederkommen! Nichts:-)

- Emma (10/5): One of my favourite stays - Such a gorgeous little apartment and great value for money, I ended up staying an extra night. Japie and Annette were so kind and welcoming, they were very helpful while I was there. A peaceful spot with lovely mountain views, you can sit on the deck and listen to the birds. Storms River is a cute village with a couple of nice cafes and restaurants, all surrounded by forest. If you like somewhere quiet you'll love it here. Excellent shower too and nicely, newly furnished apartment! The evenings were cold in September but luckily there was a warm duvet, small heater and extra blanket so I slept well!

Japie and Annette are wonderful hosts and they have created a beautiful guest suite on their property. They are happy to offer suggestions of places to eat and nearby activities. The suite was spotless, the bed extra comfortable and the kitchenette was better equipped than many Airbnb apartments we have rented. The location is peaceful and we loved the views over the back garden and mountains behind the property. The pictures are accurate and I can't say enough good things about The Blue House. Just a minor detail the table inside was not clean (Just forgotten most likely) as all the rest was clean. It seems for the braai facility you have to pay.

- Constanze (10/5): Perfect place at the Garden Route! - We had the most wonderful time at @the blue house! Everything is soo perfect! So clean, new, tastefully decorated, the bed extremely comfy. The view to the Garden is so beautiful, sometimes with some chickens on the grass.. The little town is a great place to walk around and Storms river mouth is so close by::) And: the hosts are the nicest people!!! A shame, we could not stay longer..thank you so much! /

- Andrew (10/5): Spectacular stay - This is a gem of a place. Japie and Annette are exceptional hosts. They welcomed us enthusiastically and went out of their way to make our stay unforgettable. The unit is modern with all amenities and the bed is super comfy. The mountain views are magical. Great dining places and outdoor adventure activities within walking distance. I highly recommend @The Blue House.......
