- Benita (10/5): Love, love , loved it! - Fabulous conversion with a very quirky style. Jo (the owner) had thought of everything to make our stay SO good. Lots of nice touches - the warm welcome with mood lighting and soft music was delightful. The property is beautifully and tastefully furnished and Jo has made the most of the space to create a perfect place to stay. I loved the nods to William Morris! Jo also provided a welcome hamper which was very much appreciated- the coffee and tea selection goes beyond what you might expect! We brought our dog, Dudley with us and even he was provided with bowls, treats and a towel. This is such a special place to stay and great care has been taken to make guests feel welcomed. We only stayed for 2 nights but would happily have stayed longer. You have to book this place, you will not be disappointed.
Easy access to Carlisle and local shops, what’s not to like. Highly recommended for a fabulous stay. Faultless property!
- Susan (10/5): - We had a lovely comfortable stay at this cottage with our 2 cavaliers, it was just like home from home, very well equiped, with everything to hand, Jo the owner welcomed us on our arrival. Theres a great off road dog walk close by, and the village shops are a short stroll away. We would love to stay again when in the area.

Spotlessly clean with a nice bathroom, kitchen is small but big enough for what you need and had everything you needed. - Conner (10/5): The best stay EVER! - An EXCEPTIONAL booking! Jo’s place is beautiful. The rooms are artfully decorated, the place is spotless, and the goodies left for us were way over the top. When I book a place, I first look at the bed, the shower, WIFI, room size, and prior references. Jo checks all the boxes and more. Jo is a delight. The only deficiency is with the rating scale. I would give Jo a +15 if it was possible. I have stayed at hundreds of properties in over 25 countries. She ranks #1 in my book.
- Helen (10/5): Exceptional - Delightful and charming cottage. Beautifully decorated and furnished with exquisite William Morris fabrics. Well stocked kitchen, comfortable bed and fantastic, friendly and helpful owner, Jo. Arriving to a spread of treats was absolutely lovely. Great location too. Highly recommended. I hope to return!
- Jonathan (10/5): Perfect, low hassle lovely accommodation and hosts "I'll be back!" - The hosts are superb, a real delight - there was a huge amount of care and attention to details for the whole experience end to end from communication, check-in to check-out,, and throughout the property and the effort shone through.
I hope that future guests treat the property and the hosts with the respect they deserve, thank you both. I'd prefer no pets because of allergies and I'm a germaphobe but it was spotless and I had no issues so I have nothing to gripe about at all
- Nathan (10/5): Perfection - A very cosy and relaxed place to stay with all the comforts of home. Nothing.
- Carrie (10/5): Probably the best stay I have had via any site I have used, just perfect! - They thought of absolutely everything in the property. It was clean, beautiful and they provided more than ample food and little treats. Its location is perfect, quiet and easily accessible to town or to the hills to explore. Jo & Tony are exceptional hosts who go above and beyond to accommodate your stay. That I had to go home.
