• Shona (8/5): Casa Portuguesa was a great base for our trip - we really enjoyed the location, proximity to city centre and all that of - Character terrace with a mix of original and updated features . Small outside seating area. The staircase to the bedrooms was very steep. Definite care was required when using.

• Alex (1/5): Terrible - Honestly?. Nothing. The mould. The secret room inside the bedroom that’s got manhole (in photos it’s one with the fan only). No matter what it likes to say; it’s a 2 bedroom unless you count the room in the roof. Washer and dryer outside wake unplugged. Wrong code to lockbox and couldn’t get in contact with owners till like 20 minutes later in the pouring rain as they didn’t give right code till later on. The bathroom is also tiny, stairs to the two bedrooms are very steep and small (half foot size, maybe less), owners were nice on the phone, but unfortunately due to everything it wasn’t worth the price. Also heaps of moisture in the air as paint starting to peel by the lounge (the photos used are old end stretched a lot lol) You’ll be better off staying in a hotel tbh

• Anne (8/5): - A comfortable terrace, which grew on us day by day, in a fantastic location. There was nothing about it we didn't like although care needed to be taken navigating the stairs to the bedrooms.

• SE (10/5): - Really sweet place in a great location. Lots of nice shops and restaurants around, short walk downtown, lots of bicycles for rent There need to be more pegs on the bathroom walls to hang towels. But it's not the end of the world!

• Jenny (10/5): Devine Qaint & cosy 💛 - Beautiful little Casa, very central Surry Hills location. Packed with charm & everything you’d require. Our host Nico was extremely attentive to our needs & so friendly & accomodating. Will definitely stay again. No negatives but be aware as it’s a terrace house the stairs are very steep (think Amsterdam) but we managed.

• Tom (10/5): Exceptional - The location was perfect, close to all shops and train station, was comfortable and definitely worth the price. Only thing to warn is the stairs, but that's all. It's a minor convenience at best.

• Tania (8/5): Centrally located to easily explore Sydney by train and bus, close to many cafes and restaurants and plenty of space ins - Really well presented, clean, comfortable, great location, central to public transport. Loved the outdoor courtyard- a real afternoon suncatcher.

• Andrea (10/5): Cute and very convenient - The property is very cute and right in the heart of Surry Hills where everything you could possibly want is within walking distance. On the second day, we had an unexpected issue with the property which meant we could not stay a second night but the host, Nico, was exceptional in his service. He attended to see if it could be fixed and when determined it needed a professional to attend to it, he very generously ensured we had alternative accommodation for the rest of our stay. It was very much appreciated.

• Susan (8/5): Comfortable, well situated with responsive hosts. - This is an attractive little house. The hosts were responsive to a late check out request which I really appreciated. It is very close to Central Station and a couple of good cafes for breakfast nearby. Some milk in the fridge for a cuppa would have been good. The staircase to access the bedrooms is very steep, so it's not for those with limited mobility or if you have to get up often in the night!
• Belinda (8/5): Love staying in this small house in Surrey Hills and will definitely book it again when I am next in - Excellent location. Cozy cute cottage perfect for one or two people. Nice hot shower with good water pressure. The house was decorated in a interesting and quirky way and I really liked it.

• Natalia (10/5): A super comfortable and charming terrace in a perfect location with everything at your fingertips! - A comfortable terrace in a perfect location, near great restaurants, bars, cafes and bakeries - plus, it’s a short walk the station and grocery store too! The terrace was very comfortable and the host was super helpful and accommodating! I’d definitely stay here again. The host left some snack, fruit and bottled water which was a lovely touch - thank you. Nothing, it was very convenient.
