- Cheryl (9/5): Super clean and well-maintained cabin that provided a wonderful base to enjoy the wonderful mountain - Location outstanding, well constructed and laid out. TY for working microwave, dishwasher and washer/dryer.
Furniture very comfy and well maintained. We loved the place!
Good lighting, storage, and cleaning materials provided. Good amount and variety of cookware and dinnerwarse. Mice, until we put everything in the refrigerator or microwave for protection. That should be in the instructions.
Password for WiFi was wrong, but we corrected it on the notebook.
Bedroom door by kitchen has chunk out .. not us
Water pressure in shower bathroom sink spotty.
- Cady (6/5): - The cabin was beautiful! The environment was also beautiful. It was very relaxing! The burners on the stove were worn out, very loose and we couldn't fix them but we were able to use them. Also the bed in the first rooms mattress was well worn out. We sank to the middle when we laid down. Other than that things were great!
- Heather (2/5): Not what it appears - I have done my best to try and make this rental work, considering the amount of money I paid for it. I wanted to cry and leave the day I arrived.
I picked this location based on the map on booking. There were several other cabins at much better prices but this one appeared to be the closest to town. I assumed that was why the cost was so much higher. I wanted to be somewhere, with my son, where we could walk to the shops and dining. Imagine my disappointment when I arrived and realized I am 30 min from any shops or dining. I have been barely sleeping, with all the lights on, due to fears of being out here all alone. I never would have chosen this place knowing it was so far off the beaten path. The WiFi is spotty, at best, and my ability to call for help out here would be nearly impossible. I have important work calls I can’t miss that I have to drive 30 min into town to have service.
I read that the road was rough with snow and ice. The road is terrible in the summer too. My car slips and slides every time I try to come up the drive.
There is a terrible odor lingering in the home. I have attempted to air it out. It may be due to the other nightmare I have encountered, listed below….
Mice: one crawled over my foot sitting on the back porch. And I almost lost it….. but I reassured myself that it was only outside. Then yesterday morning I saw it scurrying along the kitchen counters, into the dishwasher, under the fridge and into the room my son is sleeping in…. And now I can hear it in the cupboards… What I thought was dirt in the sheets now makes me suspicious of it being mice poop. I didn’t even think to take pics until it was too late. This is just another reason why I have had to sleep with the lights on.
I have used booking, arb&b, Vrbo multiple times. I have read of nightmare experiences but always been pleased with my choices. This is the first time I seriously can not wait to leave and warn others.
- Lora (10/5): Very private, peaceful and relaxing stay. -
- Debra (10/5): Exceptional - beautiful, creek and the time of year roads
