Guest Reviews
- Scott (9/5): -
- Evonne (9/5): Comfortable Lodge - Peaceful location with a view of Ailsa. End of the row so quieter. So spacious and everything was very clean . Well equipped kitchen with a lot of storage space and a full freezer ( with a bag of ice) . A bath and a good flow of hot water. Had an issue with the electrics but my phone was answered instantly and resolved simply within two minutes. Easy convenient parking The weather, but I'm sure it would be great in hot summer weather with a ten minutes walk to the beach
- mark (10/5): good spot on in fact - view position and great accomodation nothing
- norman (10/5): Great property, we definitely recommend! - Very convenient location, easy to find, had everything we needed. Will definitely use again. Nothing
- Shell Belle (10/5): - Loved everything about the place. It's a stunning setting. The lodge is well kitted out with everything you need. Just grab some milk bread and fillings before you arrive and you're sorted. Caroline and Stuart have made this a home from home. Absolutely will be back and tell everyone about it. Cracking views of Ailsa Craig outside with a cheeky wee beer. Perfect sunset!
- Sharon (10/5): A relaxing and quiet place to stay, with beautiful views. - The lodge itself was very clean, comfortable and welcoming. It had everything you would need (and more) for one night or a few days. The views from all sides of the lodge were beautiful. There is a swimming pool on site, although we did not use it. However, I am not sure if the pool is only for those people who own lodges. The shop was closed on site so there was no where we could walk to, in order to get some milk. Apart from that, there was nothing we did not like about the lodge.
- David (10/5): Relaxing stay in beautiful home - Spotless, comfortable and decorated to a high standard, beautiful views and well equipped kitchen
- Daniel (9/5): A very happy birthday stay! - Stuart and Caroline have been wonderful to us. It was a birthday celebration for M and they provided a bottle of fizz and a happy birthday banner. The location of the lodge turned out to be perfect for the views of Ailsa Craig and the wildlife and the condition of the property was spotless. Nothing about the property.
- Jacki (10/5): -
- allan (10/5): Brilliant views , great location ,fantastic accomodation & communication . - Brilliant accomodation & fantastic communication from the hosts .
- Meena (10/5): Completely exceeded our expectations and wished we could have stayed longer - We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this holiday lodge in Turnberry. From the moment we arrived, it completely exceeded all of our expectations. The lodge itself was immaculate — spotless throughout and finished to such a high standard that it genuinely felt brand new or recently refurbished.
Every detail had clearly been thought through, making it both comfortable and luxurious at the same time. The whole family loved it, and it quickly felt like a home away from home.
The hosts were fantastic — welcoming, attentive, and clearly passionate about making sure guests have the best possible experience. A special thank you for the fresh flowers on arrival; it was such a lovely touch and really set the tone for our stay.
One of the highlights was definitely the view. Overlooking the sea, it was simply stunning and made for a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere throughout our stay.
We couldn’t have asked for more and would highly recommend this lodge to anyone visiting the area. Loved everything :)
- Sean (10/5): Really great time and Stuart and Caroline we’re really communicative and kind - Fantastic lodge - very spacious, well equipped and clean and tidy A little bit difficult to access for non-drivers
- Andy (10/5): -
- Jennifer (10/5): -
- Jonathan (10/5): Superb lodge with great sea view. - Stuart and Caroline have a wonderful lodge. It is immaculately clean, spacious and very well furnished. Lots of outdoor seating. The sea view is a lovely thing to wake up to. Great hosts who communicate well and respond quickly to any questions.
- Tessa (10/5): A beautiful and memorable stay with wonderful hosts — highly recommended. - Beautiful lodge, spotless, comfortable, and very welcoming. The hosts were lovely and helpful, and it was the perfect place to stay while attending a wedding. Great location and a relaxing atmosphere throughout our stay. Nothing at all we only wish we could have stayed longer.
- Laura (10/5): - Beautiful lodge, Stuart and Caroline have it kept so well and it's spotless. The views out are stunning! Perfect base for exploring the area, Culzean castle is less than 10mins away, well worth a visit with littles!
- Timothy (9/5): All in all, an excellent experience and great value for money. We wouldn’t hesitate to return and wi - We had a fantastic one-night stay and genuinely wished we could have stayed longer. From the moment we arrived, everything was seamless and welcoming.
The lodge was spotless, beautifully presented, and very well equipped, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The beds were very comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep, and the overall atmosphere was chilled and high-quality.
We were also really impressed with the attention to detail throughout the property — it’s clear a lot of care goes into maintaining such a high standard. The location was ideal, making it easy to get around and enjoy the surrounding area. Nothing. Everything exceeded our expectations.
- Susan (10/5): Fantastic stay in a very well equipped lodge, hosts are lovely and very helpful. Spotlessly clean! - The location of the lodge was perfect, best one on the site! 2 mins from onsite facilities but far enough away not to be disturbed by any noise. Beautiful views of Ailsa Craig. The weather!
- Michael (10/5): - Quite simply fantastic, enjoyed my stay totally No dislikes.
- Dean (10/5): Will be back 100% - Was very modern, very clean, lovely owners was a whole great experience Check out was just a hour to early for us 11am check out would be perfect but 10am is the check out time set so thats the rules
- Jacqui (10/5): Fabulous - Very comfortable, contemporary and classy furnishing. Price was excellent value. Where it was situated on the site and near Turnberry and Girvan. The views were excellent. Not a thing
- Robert (10/5): -
- Normand & Thomson (10/5): Excellent - Excellent Accommodation, Friendly Host Would Recommend Was off season and site facilities were closed but not far from town and had a great Indian meal
- Sam (10/5): Great stay, great locations and views. Would recommend to anyone. - Clean N/A
- Jennie (10/5): Perfect for what we needed. - Beautifully presented and clean. Nothing everything was lovely, tea and coffee were provided if I have to be picky a little biscuit with a cuppa would have been an added bonus :)
- Michelle (9/5): Ailsa view - It was beautifully appointed and spotlessly clean It was freezing when we got there as the temperature outside had plummeted to below zero. It took a few hours to warm through. When it did though it was very cosy.
- Harper (9/5): Bigger than expected and very homely. - The property was much bigger than expected and it really did feel like home from home. It was well equipped and while we were fearful that it would be a bit 'snug' for four adults there was definitely plenty of space. The view out to Ailsa Rock was stunning. While the view was stunning, the location in the holiday park is not great and it was quite dark when returning at night. I would have welcomed individual toiletries.
- mouse05 (10/5): - Amazing places, cossy and comphey
- Richard (10/5): Amazing stay with a very good host. - It is was so clean and had everything you needed. It was a great location looking over the Ailsa rock. Getting a taxi was quite hard! Not quite sure how that can be resolved.
- Stuart (10/5): Exceptional, luxurious and relaxing - The place was amazing , like a home from home Nothing , the place was 10/10
- Mellina (10/5): Exceptional - The lodge was exceptional, it had everything you would need for comfort and just felt like a home from home.
Everywhere was sparkling clean, and well stocked - the owner had thought of everything.
We would 100% recommend. Nothing, it was perfect.
- Paul (10/5): Easter Family Break - Absolutely first class accommodation. The lodge is immaculate, clean and extremely spacious. Honestly all aspects of the lodge were spot on could not fault it whatsoever. The lodge has a perfect location with views out over Ailsa Craig amazing. Stuart the owner was very helpful and couldn't have done any more to help us on arrival.
Highly recommend...10/10
- Marilyn (10/5): Excellent easy access would stay again - Excellent accommodation spotless clean well equiped hosts very informative would reccommend
- Denise (9/5): Superb - Lodge was lovely. Had everything we needed. It was immaculate. With stunning views
- Gary (10/5): Very comfortable with magnificent views - The location and property itself Nothing
- Malcolm (9/5): Fabulous static lodge in a lovely location - What an amazing Lodge, l was so impressed with the whole thing.. It was like being at home. Really exceptional place and I'd definitely see if this was available if l was in the area again... Most of the places I'd stayed in on my trip around Scotland leave an information sheet for guests, so this would have been nice. I'd no idea how to turn the heating on, but luckily it wasn't that cold. Although wifi is provided my phone wouldn't find the router, again not a deal breaker for one night.
- Nicholas (9/5): Superb -
- Danny (10/5): A great weekend! - Good size
Nice and clean
Excellent views N/A
- Amanpreet (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful, scenic area and lovely lodge. Just wish we had more time there!
- Emma (10/5): Exceptional. Will definitely be back! The hosts were very very accommodating and friendly, the lodge was gorgeous, spaci - The location was perfect! We attended a wedding a Trump Turnberry and this was an excellent accommodation for us! The property is very private with in disturbed views of the water. Exceptionally clean and beautiful decor. The bed was super comfortable and the bedding was very comfortable, it really made a difference in the stay and over all comfort level! The utilities in the lodge are very modern. The lodge is well heated and holds the heat very well. Nothing I can’t complain about anything
- Jim (10/5): A beautiful cabin in a beautiful setting - This is a large static cabin facing the sea and with a view of the Ailsa Craig. The facilities in the cabin are superb and in almost brand new condition. It sits in what is probably the best position on the site, with clear views over to the sea. There is a patio door leading to the decking where there is some rattan furniture, Everything was absolutely spotless and the hosts Stuart & Caroline were in touch via phone and text to make sure all was well with our stay. I have no negative comments.
- Matthew (10/5): Great place to stay in lovely location near the golf - Everything you could need very quiet and peaceful and lovely place to stay. Nothing it was excellent
- Martin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kenneth (10/5): Turnberry Lodge will not disappoint. - The location of the lodge was the best on the site with excellent views. The cabin was furnished to a high standard and our hosts had thought of everything, from board games, smart TV, snacks, etc. Too many to remember but everything was there that was needed, and more. We could not fault our excellent hosts or our fantastic cabin which were both amazing in every way. Our only disappointment was that we couldn't use the pool that was on the site as it was fully booked. The pool was very small anyway so we ended up going to the brand new sports centre at Maybole which was only a 15 minute drive away where the pool there was much bigger and very cheap.
- Tania (9/5): Superb - Lovely, clean, comfortable and well equipped lodge. Loved sitting outside in decking Would have liked a one page info sheet on things like bins, buses, taxis, local shop, heating, places to eat etc
- Jane (10/5): Exceptional stay at Turnberry Lodge. - Beautifully furnished and exceptionally clean. Lots of extras provided, so no need to haul towels, toiletries and washing up liquid etc. Location and outlook superb. Sunset was spectacular. 10am check-out. Would have loved an extra hour in the comfy beds.
- Ruta (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mclaughlan (10/5): Amazing lodge with the best views, great owners will be back - Arrived at lodge sun shining and beautiful view, greeted by Caroline lovely lady very welcoming, the lodge is beautiful couldn't ask for better, the views are incredible, really was like a home from home, should have booked longer, but will definitely be back, was so relaxing and peaceful, met Stuart when leaving nice guy, lovely couple with a very lovely Lodge will be be back soon, bring the grandkids next time That I didn't book longer
- Will (10/5): 5* Stay for the Open in Troon - I stayed with my father and brother for The Open in Troon (30 min drive)
This accommodation is absolutely top class.
Location is the best in the park, overlooked by no one and great views of the sea and Ailsa Craig, near the entrance and beside the swimming pool
The lodge itself is stunning.
- huge kitchen/living space excellently decorated with all modern comforts and homely feel
- great cooking facilities
- comfy couch & armchairs
- large TV with Amazon Firestick
- big dining table
- lovely breakfast bar
- great storage (which we used for golf clubs)
- huge master bedroom with double bed, en-suite with nice shower, ample storage
- big twin room with 2 comfy single beds, loads of storage for suitcases and clothes
- good size main bathroom with bath/shower and heated towel/clothes rack
- lovely outdoor seating beside the lodge and also at the back of the lodge on the decking through sliding doors
- great view of the sea and Ailsa Craig
Great hosts, Stuart & Caroline were very easy to contact for any questions we had about our stay, very friendly and have the lodge in show room condition - 10/10 stay and perfect base for The Open when in east Scotland and for golfing in general as there are 10+ courses within 30 minutes (we played Belleisle and Girvan while we were over)
Top tip - we ate in a place called Souters Inn (about 5 minute drive towards Maybole) and it was excellent. Food and ambience 5*, also Asda is a 5 minute drive the other direction on the edge of Girvan We found everything excellent we couldn’t find anything to fault the property.
- Michele (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful, clean and comfortable. High quality and very well equipped. Views exceptional. Would highly recommend Nothing

- Elaine (10/5): We had a great time . - It was beautiful and so clean . It was so nice every room was beautiful.
- Andrew (10/5): Lovely relaxing property on our way home from a 3 week holiday. - The property had everything needed.
The location was lovely and quiet, and the views across fields to the sea appealed to us as we were watching Brown hares in the field opposite.
The beds were very comfortable. The only thing I wasn’t too keen on, was the amount of candles.
We put them in the cupboard out of the way, but returned them before we left. This is just a personal preference and didn’t affect our stay.
- Hilary (10/5): Amazing Lodge - This is a superb lodge, very spacious and comfortable. Tastefully decorated and fully equiped. We were delighted.
- Valerie (10/5): Home from home - It was a very well furnished lodge with everything you could thinking of supplied. Exceptionally clean and comfortable.

- Laura (10/5): Relaxing weekend in a nice environment - The lodge was spacious and spotless Girvan
- Tina (10/5): Could not fault the actual property, but its location let it down - Chalet was immaculate and incredibly well provided with everything we could need
Beautiful outside area with views over the sea
Easy access via key lock
Full size fridge, freezer, cooker, bath, shower, etc The campsite itself was quite rundown and quiet - hardly any other people there. The bar/restaurant was closed all the time we were there, and the pool was cold and dirty
- Johnny (10/5): What an amazing - From start to finish an absolute joy to stay in this beautiful lodge. Stuart our host was so helpful and could not do enough. The Lodge was immaculate in every way.Highly recommended in every way Nothing
- Roddy (10/5): Excellent - reclmmdnddd - The “lodge” was well appointed, well decorated and very comfortable Getting in could have been better - just give the key safe code in advance , rather than having to make a phone call - that was not answered!
- William (10/5): Exceptional - It was very nice, we had great weather and after our round we sat out on the lovely deck with a wine and the great view of the Ailsa Craig . It was spotless clean, we like that.
- Gilfillan (10/5): Exceptional - Caravan is absolutely stunning with a stunning view. Sun is on it all day and sets at front looking towards the sea so you can sit and enjoy out in the decking the sunset. Place is absolutely spotless and bed is comfy. TV is a smart TV so you can log into your own Netflix. Complex has a swimming baths directly behind and the bar and restaurant is just round the corner. But if your looking for food I would 100% recommend soutters inn its a 5 min drive and is absolutely brilliant. Will 100% be booking this again in near future. Thank you. Not one thing.
- Ritchie (10/5): Great lodge - Lots of space - feels like a home from home.
Very clean and well kept.
Great location near turnberry.
Was exactly what we were looking for. Nothing :)
- George (9/5): Very good. - Just what we were looking for. Quiet, well situated on the site and convenient for our journey north, with excellent views of Ailsa Craig. Exceptionally clean and very well fitted out. The farm shop on the main road was rather disappointing in terms of provisions.
- Stephen (10/5): Wonderful stay - Everything. Facilities were excellent, and the whole living space was exceptional. Views from the patio doors were incredible, too. Nothing at all
- Gary (9/5): Superb -
- Kevin (9/5): Superb -
- Beames (9/5): Excellent -
- Caitlin (10/5): Great stay which was fantastic value for money. - Modern, clean and great facilities. Friendly hosts. Tricky to find in the dark as no street lights on the drive up to the site.
- Norman (10/5): Awesome stay, loved this place. has everything you need for a comfortable stay. - The lodge exceeded expectations by being a home away from home with everything we could need except a clothes dryer.
Facilities in lodge were excellent for cooking our own meals and relaxing for the night. Site laundromat did not work, would only except laundry card which travelling from overseas I did not have, and the app it said to download was dodgy and wouldn't work either.
The lodge itself was absolutely excellent & I would highly recommend staying, plan to do laundry elsewhere.
- Rachel (10/5): Exceptional - The property was spotless with beautiful views of the sea. The host was easy to get in touch with as well and answered any queries we had. The lodge was fully stocked with everything you would need. Everything was great.
- Audrey (10/5): Exceptional - Fantastic luxury modern lodge with breathtaking views of Ailsa Craig. Owners Stuart and Caroline have thought of everything you could possibly need for a relaxing, comfortable stay. Meters away from onsite pool, shop, and club house. I'm already looking at dates to return, loved it. Nothing.

- Julie (10/5): Exceptional - Absolutely everything! It was amazing, from putting the key in the door to locking it when leaving. The lodge itself is 10/10. The unbroken views of Aisla Craig were outstanding. There are binoculars in the basket too which was a bonus. Loads of things to do within a 30 min drive.(Turnberry golf club 5 mins drive away) Will definitely 💯 % be coming back again . Communication with Stuart was instant. Leaving. So beautiful we didn't want to.
- Jamie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kenneth (10/5): Oustanding Luxury - From the moment I booked this to checking in and checking out process was faultless Stuart was an amazing host and easily contactable the lodge itself is outstanding its modern and very high spec and the luxury fittings added a special touch. There was nothing not to like from start to finish my parents loved it and are already looking at dates to go back and they haven't even checked out yet thats how good it is.
- Alison (10/5): Exceptional - Everything it was amazing. It was huge.x Going home.
- Neil (10/5): A Heavenly Retreat at Turnberry Lodge - My family and I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Turnberry Lodge. This modern, well-kept haven offered us the perfect balance between luxury and comfort.
Upon arrival, we were immediately struck by the breath-taking sea views that seemed to embrace the entire property. The lodge is very spacious with a large open plan living area.
The bedrooms are generous in size and modern, ensuring restful nights for everyone. Each room was outfitted with plush bedding and tasteful furnishings, making it easy to feel right at home.
The well-equipped kitchen made it a breeze for us to prepare delicious meals for our family, while the inclusion of a washing machine, dishwasher, and microwave further enhanced the convenience of our stay. It was evident that Stuart had gone the extra mile to ensure that guests had all the amenities they needed for a stress-free vacation.
In summary, Turnberry Lodge exceeded our expectations. From the stunning sea views to the modern, spacious interiors and comprehensive facilities, we couldn't have asked for a more idyllic setting for our family retreat. We wholeheartedly recommend Turnberry Lodge to anyone in search of a luxurious, yet cozy, home away from home.
