Guest Reviews
- Thomas (3/5): Poor - Decent location, spacious. Wifi was unusable. The bed was very uncomfortable. Some of the cutlery and china was unclean. We were woken one night at 1:30am by someone banging on the front door.
- Debs (4/5): Hugely unpleasant and uncomfortable stay. - Good location. 20 min walk to the centre of town. Quiet road. The worst thing without a doubt was the unclean bedding in two of the bedrooms- it smelt unclean and looked dirty and stained. Really don’t believe that it had been changed from previous guests. We ended up buying clean pillows and sleeping on top of the duvets. Dirty kitchen table, I had to clean this myself. Dirty dishes left in the dishwater. Leaking kitchen tap, water leaking all over the floor which we had to keep mopping up with towel. Only provided with one flat, pillow each. Needed to buy our own new clean ones anyway! Left with small remains of 2 toilet rolls. Had to go out and buy more the first night. No where to hang clothes. No lamp shades anywhere. No control over the heating. Heating thermostats locked up in a box. (we wanted to turn it off in bathrooms as was like a sauna). No communication or response over the weekend when I reported the issues.
- Kate (3/5): Great location but property a let down - Location was good. Layout of house was good. We booked for 6 people and only had 3 towels. There was also no iron (an ironing board but no iron?) We contacted the support team and got a initially got a quick response, but then were ignored. No towels arrived and no response to the missing iron. We had to go out and buy our own towels and an iron at a cost of £65. Dirty towels and bedding were stuffed in random cupboards. The kitchen tap was broken and leaking into the cupboard. Parking is advertised as free on road. We woke up to parking tickets. Another £70 cost. Overall really poor for the cost.
- Jemma (7/5): Good - Fridge was not empty and had out of date food in it.
Bins were not emptied
Dirty tissue on top of wardrobe
Broken sofa
Front door would not lock from the inside
WiFi didn’t work so had no use of the tv
Bed very uncomfortable
- Adrian (4/5): Disappointing. - Location and the property itself were fine overall. Upon arrival, there were used towels in a bathroom and used bedding and towels in the washing machine.
The dishwasher hadn't been emptied, there were no bin liners and much of the cooking equipment was dirty.
The WiFi router on the ground floor didn’t work and there was a smell of cigarette smoke in the front upstairs bedroom.
Most disappointingly, despite reporting all this to the owner, I didn't even get a call or message back to explain or apologise.
- Nicola (5/5): Passable - A clean and functional property for a few nights stay. There was no heating and although the hosts were aware, the issue was not rectified in the 4 nights we stayed.
- James (7/5): Good -
- Saffron (10/5): Easy and comfortable - Everything was very new and clean., nicely decorated. The water pressure in the showers was amazing and it was very warm and cosy. There was nothing to dislike but it would have been nice to have some basic tea and coffee supplies and toilet brushes in the bathrooms.
- Ben (10/5): Exceptional -
