Guest Reviews
- George (9/5): Cosy cottage ideal for family activities. - The Cottage gave a cosy atmosphere, and was ideal for family time. Walking distance to the beach, shops, and other facilities. The hosts came to visit on multiple times to check I was OK and enjoying my stay, which was appreciated. Due to my height (6'9'') the ceilings were a little low on the middle and top floors. The car parking space was interesting to get in and out of.
- Muntazir (10/5): Lovely, clean and well-located cottage - Really lovely cottage that is very well-located and close to everything in Teignmouth. Great base to explore the surrounding area too.
The cottage was very clean indeed and really comfortable and we really enjoyed our stay. A big bonus was the lovely artwork on the walls, which were all by the owner, Bee! Chris and Bee are both lovely, and we'll definitely stay here again when we visit the area again.

- Linda (9/5): Although the weather was wet we had a great time in Teignmouth and found the cottage ro be a very comfortable & rela - It is beautifully decorated throughout and comfortable and has a lovely feel about it.. Although small , everything you would need in the kitchen is there. It is very conveniently situated for walking into town & for pubs & restaurants and the sea front. We weren’t keen on the outlook over the lorry yard.
The towel rails in the bathrooms got very hot .
- Charlesworth (10/5): A great couple of days in Teignmouth. - Well equipped and comfortable within easy walking distance of town and the beach
- Becci (8/5): -
- Cope (7/5): - Well equipped good tv lounge and kitchen .good shower easy access parking good location. Uncomfortable beds .attic bedroom smelt fusty and bedroom radiator didn't warm up toilet a little tight.
- Rachel (8/5): Lovely cottage, struggled with fire doors. - Lovely quaint cottage, lovely well done bedroom and bathroom . Lovely living area Not at all suitable for disabled people. Fire doors were so difficult to open only having full use in one side. To far from sea front, had to use a taxi to take us one way but would be fine for a family. Not a pretty area but fine.
- Hicks (10/5): -
- Salisbury (8/5): A cosy, comfy cottage close to all the amenities - A very clean, comfortable & well decorated cottage. Close to the river & the seafront It wasn't a pretty location & the parking space was tight to get in & out of
- Gordon Hayes (10/5): - Great location, Chris was very friendly and welcoming and the cottage was very clean and very well equipped.
- karen (9/5): A delightful little cottage in a great location to explore south Devon. - A delightful little cottage in a good location to explore South Devon. Wonderfully furnished , had everything you need plus dishwasher and 2 bathrooms. We loved that it had its own parking space to the side of the property.
- Thompson (8/5): Best place to stay in Teignmouth. Dog friendly and right in the centre - Loved the history provided when reading the information book The steepness of the stairs especially with mobility issues. But that was negligible.
- Tim (10/5): -
- Victoria (8/5): -
- Terence (10/5): An exellent location for a short break or holiday. Recommend. - A lovely renovated cottage, with a great location for the town’s amenities. Nothing
- Charis (9/5): Brilliant coastal gem - highly recommend! - Excellent location, lovely property, big comfy beds and everything you need for a wonderful family stay - right down to the stair gate for little ones! Bee and Chris are wonderful hosts The light in the truck yard at the Port shone right into the main bedroom window
- Kate (10/5): Fabulous week in a fabulous cottage - Quirky cottage in a great location, everything you need to enjoy your stay is provided.
Beautiful art on the walls.
Very homely and very comfortable
Super clean and beautiful decor Everything was lovely
- Dan (7/5): As above - Lots and lots to like We just felt a few things let it down. The front of the toilet on the 1st floor is much too close to the wall, I am only 5’9” and it was a squeeze, my 6’4” friend, who was staying in the 1st floor bedroom, had no chance and had to use the toilet on the 2nd floor. Also we felt the mattresses were not comfortable and need to be deeper and better quality. Also we thought to leave at 10 on a Sunday was a bit early and being asked to strip the beds was a first and I have been booking places for 40 years. Sorry if this sounds negative but as always, all the good stuff is just taken for granted!
- Richard (8/5): Teignmouth was so diverse, waterside pubs fun and ferry to Sheldon great. - Layout, interior decor and comfort
- Melanie (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent location writing walking distance of the town centre, beaches and railway station. No outside space
- Satah (10/5): Perfect holiday - Clean warm comfortable quiet was awesome Everything was amazing no complaints 😀
- Julie (9/5): Perfect for our short stay. - Very comfortable and clean place to stay. Great location. Nicely furnished. Good shower and comfortable mattress. Well stocked with kitchen equipment, so much so, we were able to host friends for a meal with no problem. More USB ports and sockets although we do come prepared.
- M (9/5): Very enjoyable and homely, pretty cottage - Location and cosyness Not much, all good. be good to have cooker instructions and over mitts
- Daniel (4/5): My stay was ok, my bed broke so i ended up sleeping on the floor,so I was uncomfortable. - Location was perfect.less than 5 minutes from centre. The bathroom. Arrangements on top floor in another bedroom, not perfect but worked ok
- Carole (8/5): Very good - I loved the decor and the bed was comfortable
It is very well equipped and clean, nice touches like the milk and cake in the fridge.
Having a place to park was why I chose this property
I was able to drive very quickly into town and make a short walk. I have fibromyalgia and arthritis which impacts on my mobility, I did find the climb up the second set of stairs to the bathroom quite difficult and chose to sleep in the single bed on the first floor. I think the planned changes to add another bathroom will improve the access for people with mobility issues. I may have missed reference to the steep stairs in the cottage details? If not it would be helpful to give that information as I came home a day early due to the physical challenges. Again I may have missed that information.
- David (8/5): Very good -
- Franke (10/5): Very nice stay. - Very cozy. That the bathroom was in the second level.
- Trish (10/5): Exceptional - Central location clean tidy cottage with all amenities will book again
- Wendy (9/5): Superb -
- Terry (10/5): Was like home from home bee and Chris have made customs cottage a gem of a place - Very clean and so close to all the amenities of teignmouth will stay again in the near future if it was a hotel it would be ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ No comment wouldn’t have a bad word said about the property
- Gail (8/5): Very good - Fabulous location, lovely cottage and facilities were great. Bathroom/toilet is on the top floor but doable; if mobility is an issue the second set of stairs are steep.
- Thomas (9/5): Great Stay. Perfect Location. Home from home. - Property has so much character and very well equipped. The location of the cottage meant the car wasn’t needed. Only one bathroom and it’s on the top floor via the main bedroom. While it wasn’t a massive issue. It meant my friends were a little conscious visiting the bathroom while we slept (very minor).
- Toni (10/5): We all had a great stay in this great located comfortable cottage will definitely return - Excellent location, facilities everything you could need and more.
- Brendan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Adrian (8/5): Overall good and a lovely cottage - Location was excellent Noisy from yard in front and seagulls
Also needs a washing machine
- Angela (10/5): Cute cosy cottage in a fantastic location with parking in a gorgeous walkable seaside town. - Location, history and comfort. Not really a negative… would have liked another toilet , but Bee and Chris are creating one later this year! 👏🏻💕
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional -
- Walker (9/5): Superb -
- Ray (8/5): Great location and despite the poor weather had a very enjoyable stay - Great location
- Sarah (8/5): A beautiful visit to Teignmouth, great weather and the cottage was absolutely lovely. - Nice and private, beautifully decorated, very comfy bed, was lovely to be able to either eat out or eat in, only a short walk to the town and the beach. Great to have private parking right next to the cottage. Thank you Chris and Bee The toilet was on the second floor which was absolutory great during the evening but a little bit of a pain during the day. However the shower was lovely and hot and the bathroom nice and clean.
- Alma (10/5): Convenient location, comfortable, clean and lovely to come back to after a busy day. - There was nothing not to like, the cottage was everything we hoped it would be and more. The welcome basket of tea, coffee etc and biscuits was a pleasant surprise. Wine in the fridge, our hosts thought of everything. This was our first stay in an Air BnB, we would highly recommend it. A huge thank you to our hosts. I have thought carefully about this question but couldn't find anything I didn't like.
