• Sally (8/5): - Great location just metres from the beach and next door to tennis courts. Tennis rackets and balls were there for use too! Four square just around the corner. Friendly host. Could be a little cleaner - there was a bit of hair on the bathroom floor when we arrived and it was a bit dusty in places. Wouldn't put us off coming back, but would just make it a bit nicer :)

• Julie (9/5): Would Stay Again - Very tastefully furnished, spacious. clean and comfortable. Great location. Would definitely stay again. Being picky, it would have been nice to have had even a small amount of milk on our arrival and more than 3 standard tea bags when there was three of us there for two nights. Fortunately the 4 square was only a short walk and opened at 7 the following morning.

We could hear the sea and it is a very short walk to the beach. Linda our host was perfect and it was great value for money. Nothing.

Ohope was wonderful L - The location was great, two minutes walk to the beach in a lovely setting down a private driveway. Although we could see the sea, the view was a little obscured by a trailer/fence. The apartment was a really good size and comfortable. There were no tea towels, even though there was a dishwasher.

The owners lived above so there is some noise to be expected but we only really noticed it in the bedroom early in the morning. They were lovely to deal with. Overall the accommodation was great for what we were wanting and at a reasonable price we thought. The owners had a challenge to get the accommodation cleaned in time for our check in but all was communicated with us so no problems.

• Claude (6/5): Very nice location but not adapted for winter staysalso no heat pump in rooms for hot summer days,! - Outside (NZ winter) temperatures were 12 to 14 degC during the day and below 10 degC at night. The appartment had NO HEATING in the sleeping rooms (not even an air blower or a mobile radiator / 2 bed bottles in a cupboard....haha). Furthermore, the heat pump in the main living room combined with kitchen is undersized, positioned near the entrance and only heatin PROPERLY the living area. Not enough to heat the kitchen area which is also the only place where you can work with your laptop (no other table vailable for this!). Also of interest for other guests is following: when making the resrvation for the 2 nights the price was 315 NZ$ for 2 people and 395 NZ$ if 3 people. We resrved for 2 people, and were told via mail before our arrival that a 3rd person would cost 3 times more ! (240 NZ$ for 2 nights instead of the 80 NZ$ shown on the Booking.com site).
• Hoskin (5/5): I don't like it - No electricity blanket 9n beds. The hot water bottles had not be emptied., the cover on the bottles needed washing . The blinds in kitchen need clearing. I could go on.

Adjacent was a tennis court and a grassed park area which was ideal for play. We would have like to have had easy access to a laundry but finding it was impossible, also just a small thing, we are always concerned about furniture and the damage hot or cold drinks can make, coasters would be a nice addition rather than having to find a paper back to use.
