- Karen (10/5): Quiet, peaceful and relaxing. - It was lovely and clean, light and airy and had everything we needed for the stay The double bed was a bit hard for my liking but that’s mostly personal preference, it was very hot inside when we entered the property but cooled down quite quickly once we’d opened some windows
- Robert (9/5): Really comfortable and great to stay. - It's the 3rd time I have stayed at tydd st giles between twice at Wentworth and 1st at bumblebee always like staying here as quiet and lovely clubhouse.love the facilities and bread and milk is a massive plus.and will stay again if allowed. Nothing
- Danny (10/5): - Everything we needed in the lodge and more including games and DVD'S. Was very clean and good location Nothing
- Malcolm (7/5): We did not meet the owner or his father -but they were helpful and friendly on the phone. - Helpfulness of the owner and his father and the basic quality of the accommodation was good - but see below! 1) The apartment had not been cleaned after previous tenants. Beds unmade; dirty towels on the floor; bins still full of rubbish. Although the owner gave prompt attention to this we later realised - when we came to make a drink - that the crockery had been put away - but not washed!!!
2) When we got up on our first morning. the gas cooker hob would not work. It was not working at all during the two days of our visit. We subsequently learned that it had been repaired after we had left.

- Andy (10/5): - everything nothing
- Carol (10/5): - The lodge was a little home from home with everything we needed for our stay. We were very pleasantly surprised at the quality of the interior, especially for the price. Will definitely book again if we are back in the area.

- Joanne (10/5): Incredible lodge in a lovely area to explore - The lodge is absolutely gorgeous. Comfortable, clean, homely and cosy. Caters for everything you would need for a few days. Accessible to several areas but even the site is lovely for a dog walk.
Didn't use the club facilities but we will on our return.
Excellent communication from the host from beginning to end and even released dates some dates in 2026 for us to look at booking. Thank you! My terrier managed to squeeze through the fencing which fortunately is a short jump to the grass. Some dog proofing outside would enhance the safety of what is already a very dog friendly lodge, which is the biggest appeal for us.
Stronger aerial in the bedroom for the television signal would also be beneficial.
Otherwise, there is nothing we would change.
- Michelle (10/5): What's not to love. - We had a lovely stay at Bumblebee Lodge! Very clean and comfortable, everything you need and a special touch of bread and milk that was left for us was helpful. Good communication from the start, with instructions of entering the Country Club to the Lodge. We used to live in a nearby village and moved back to our home town in Yorkshire, we came down for a funeral and wanted to stay longer to be able to see friends, we stayed for 3 nights and would have loved to have stayed longer. We had a drink on the decking at night, looking up at the amazing big sky with our own blanket that we brough down and then found one later that we could have used, it felt home from home, even having candles that sometimes are not allowed in other places. There was even a slow cooker should you wish to put on and come back later to. I used my own Netflix sign in, (remember to sign out before leaviing) The heating was also easy to use. Their were board games to use, along with a Spa at the club, we paid £10 each and we went swiming and used the sauna and steam with friendly staff on reception and phone when I first enquired about times. We didn't use the bar, cafe or restaurant but that was only because of time (bar and restaurant not open Mondays) Just a very small thing that did not justify a lower score, I couldn't work out how to use the shower over the bath, though that could have been me! Not a problem, I used the ensuite shower and it didn't justify a message to the owner. Will be hoping to come back again! Thankyou!! Everything.
- Johanna (9/5): Great getaway - Great place to stay with everything you’d need to stay in when it’s a rainy day.
Great size throughout for a couple or small family and a well kept site.
Plenty of options with smart TV, games and films.
Owner was really helpful and allowed us to check in early.
We don’t play golf, but if you do it’s as fantastic place with easy access to the course. Nothing

- TKM (9/5): Perfect for a weekend getaway! - With 2 bedrooms (one double and one twin) and 2 bathrooms there was plenty of space for 2 friends to have a chilled weekend away and use as a base to visit the surrounding area. Being by the golf course made for lovely views and walks, and even though Storm Amy was passing through, the lodge was warm, clean and comfortable. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived as there was milk and bread waiting for us! There was a comfy seating area, plenty of DVDs to watch. The instructions on how to get into the Country Club and how to find the lodge and keys were perfect! Parking for 2 cars, and the outside seating area looked well positioned and comfy, however it was far too wet and windy for us to take advantage of it, this time. Not much ... as with all self catering, there's always an element of heavily used utensils, and sadly not everyone looks after things as you would, but they did the job and there were plenty of glasses, plates and cutlery. The TV signal kept cutting out, which was a little frustrating but understandable due to the storm and lots of tree's in the area. Would any of it stop me booking again, Not at all!

- Jadwiga (10/5): Absolutely fantastic - We had the great pleasure of staying at Bumblebee Lodge in Tydd St Giles Golf and Country Club, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience. The lodge is incredibly cosy and very well-equipped – everything you need is right there, and the standard is definitely above expectations. The interior is beautifully decorated, spotless, and comfortable, making it easy to feel at home straight away.
The surroundings are peaceful and picturesque, perfect for relaxation, yet with access to all the club’s facilities. It’s a great base both for a relaxing break and an active holiday.
We definitely recommend it and would be happy to return! None
- Mike (10/5): We really enjoyed our stay, hope to return soon! -
- Nicola (10/5): Great lodge - Great lodge, very comfortable and clean Nothing
- Amy (9/5): Beautiful stay and will definitely return next year - Beautiful lodge in a beautiful location! Such a lovely nature trail around the lodge, where we saw deers and hares roaming around. Everything we needed and more at the lodge… surprised by the PS3 and huge amount of family board games to play. Fab instructions and contact from the host from word go. Would definitely stay again Couldn’t figure out how to work the shower over the bath, but was ok as there’s an en-suite shower in the main bedroom.

- Gordon (9/5): A relaxing and enjoyable break. - Convenient area to meet my family members. Interesting dog walk areas. Lodge was well furnished and comfortable. The pub on site serves a good selection of food and drink. Nothing
- Ethan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stuart (8/5): - Very homely, modern and very comfortable Nothing.
- Geoff (9/5): Superb -
- Heather (9/5): Superb -
- Robert (8/5): Very good - The location was perfect for us. It was a lovely clean and peaceful site with amenities close by. My husband is disabled and found the sofas quite low and difficult to get in and out of.
- Robert (9/5): Great weekend escape in a lovely enviroment. - Compact modern property with a bath and shower. The decking, furniture and bbq could do with a spruce up / clean.
- Graham (10/5): Stunning location very relaxing - Brilliant location nice clean property
- Krisha (8/5): Very relaxing stay - Beautiful cosy home.lovey settling . Peaceful quiet. Excellent facilities swimming ,sauna
- Lewis (10/5): Exceptional -
- Delrae (10/5): Exceptional - This lodge was exactly as described, excellent throughout.
Set in absolutely lovely grounds.
Plenty of walks(On lead only) for the dog.
- Carly (9/5): Superb - The site is lovely. Very quiet, no road noise at all, and no noisy neighbours. It is a little bit out of the way, but we liked the peace and quiet. Easy driving distance to Wisbech, King's Lynn, Downham Market etc. Beds were comfy. Sofas were comfy (makes a change to have a comfy sofa in a lodge/caravan). Kitchen was well equipped. Internet worked well as did Netflix. It was a little cool at times and we found the heating easy to operate. Michael communicated with us as soon as we booked and then several times before and during our stay, and was keen to help in any way he could. We didn't use the gym or swimming pool as we felt the charges were a bit steep.
- Emma (4/5): Disappointing! - The lodge was situated in the middle of the golf course and was very peaceful. It had pretty much everything we could have wanted for a short stay. After reading so many good reviews, the cleanliness of the lodge was questionable. Firstly, we didn't expect to find someone else's toothpaste all over the glass in the bathroom. The bedroom throws were in need of a good wash and we had to rewash every item of cutlery and crockery before we used it as it was dirty. Even on the hottest wash the dishwasher wasn't melting tablets properly. The extension cable rattled and the scissors were broken.
Dog owners be aware, extendable leads are a must for staying on this site as there is nowhere locally to let your dogs off the lead.
- Rhodes (9/5): Ideal base for our stay, very comfortable, great facilities and great value fir money. - The accommodation was excellent, very cosy but spacious, well equipped and had everything we needed. The site is lovely, peaceful and great facilities. Nothing!
- Gordon (10/5): A very good break. I went to see my family member who lives in the area. - A good size. This time there was only my dog and me. Well equipped. The walking trails around the golf course are excellent. The on-site bar serves food. One small problem that my dog was able to escape from the decking area. The upright bars could be spaced less wide or maybe a wicker cover along them.
- Artur (10/5): Exceptional -
- Carol-ann (7/5): Good - The lodge was clean & well equipped We were freezing the whole weekend. The heating didn't come on & we didn't know how to use the the digital thermostat.
- Jonathan (10/5): Ideal location to visit family in Wisbech. Lovely quiet setting and a homely feel inside. A very comfortable and relaxon - Very spacious for a family, homely feel and nice touches like milk, bread and eggs in arrival. Met all our needs
- Mark (9/5): Perfect location for where I was working. Will definitely stay again in the future. - Very clean and spacious. Bed & lounge was comfortable and kitchen was well equipped. Nothing
- Keith (10/5): Exceptional - What's not to like. Everything was provided, it was clean, warm, and met all our needs. it was a very quiet location, and very comfortable. They knew we wold be arriving late, so we even had bread, milk and eggs in the fridge. it was a very nice gesture.
- Lisa (8/5): Very good -
- Kim (10/5): Very relaxing and comfortable stay. We will all miss Bumblebee Lodge. Thank you! -
- Julie (10/5): Lovely modern large well equipped lodge. A delight 😊 - Excellent communication with the owner. Lodge was modern, clean , large and well equipped. Bright airy and all amenities cared for inside. Decking well equipped with modern furniture. Warm and cosy lodge with Christmas tree and decor added which was a nice touch.
Lovely lodge we would recommend. Only slight problem for us was the decking fencing has wide spindles which our little dog was able to get through easily . This was a pain as had to keep her on the lead at all times and she wasn’t able to run around freely. Other than that all good .
- Maddy (10/5): Relaxed and calm, with all the little home comforts. - We loved our stay at the bumblebee. Micheal has really thought of everything. A lovely weekend away where we could just relax. Will definitely be coming back. Home time 🤣 could have happily stayed here longer.
- Matthew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Wayne (10/5): a lovely comfy amazing stay - it was just like a home away from home everything u needed.
plenty to entertain all the family.
- Emma (10/5): Exceptional - Coming from London, I absolutely loved the peace and quiet and the ability to connect to nature, mostly through the geese who marched through the grounds with the moorhen close in tow. The lodge itself was immaculate and easy to feel at home with small attention to details like essential supplies in the fridge.
It was very easy to follow the instructions to get inside and settled with a handy guide to the local area available.
While I was a solo traveller, I can easily imagine a small family or golfing gear fitting in easily. Nothing at all, very happy.
- Claire (10/5): Exceptional - It was clean and spacious and provided all the necessities such as Milk, bread, condiments etc which was an unexpected surprise. My only small comment is we were a bit short on toilet roll and had to buy more but it wasn’t a major issue
- Adam (7/5): Good -
- Kateryna (10/5): I liked the nature, walking along the paths, beautiful squirrels and ducks, geese, amazing nature, everything is well-gr - I liked the nature, walking along the paths, beautiful squirrels and ducks, geese, amazing nature, everything is well-groomed and beautiful. I didn’t like that there was no internet in the caravan, we tried to turn it on, but it didn’t appear, it showed Wi-Fi, but there was no internet, but we connected our mobile.
- Andrew (9/5): Superb - Best equipped park lodge we have ever stayed in, and probably the cleanest.
- Kim (10/5): Amazing location, beautiful property - Great hosts - have stayed on this site for approx 5 months now whilst working locally - its beautiful. Quiet, superb location with plenty of amenities. Bumblebee Lodge is lovely - a home-from-home with everything you need and a very helpful host. Nothing negative
- Mike (10/5): Comfortable, clean lodge with good indoor and outdoor facilities surrounded by a relaxed ambience - Beautiful modern Lodge with ensuite to main bedroom, spotlessly clean and comfortable facilities, great south facing veranda with bbq, outdoor areas well maintained with nice walks. All good- Nothing to dislike
- Michael (10/5): Very relaxing - The lodge was well equipped and clean could not fault it, the location was a bit remote
- Linda (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely quiet location, great facilities. Everything we needed for a great weekend. Nothing not to like.
- Alan (10/5): The perfect getaway. - The location was quiet, relaxed, was centrally located to explore the area, and it had everything included that we required. On top of that, the service was brilliant.
- Judita (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing lodge in stunning location. Great walks.
