• Tafadzwa (1/5): Not with the $60 I paid - Nice location good views that’s about it Absolutely no privacy when you switch on the lights and you’re having a shower no curtains or blinds for people outside can see everything. Also in the bedrooms see-through curtains, no privacy whatsoever. No running water for you to shower no water for gas in the bedrooms linen was dirty.
• Brenda (4/5): Was just okay - The payment option was a little turn off for me, booked thru booking.com and paid via visa card When l arrived l was told l ddnt pay, apparently there was a reversal on the payment *that's how they set it up* l had no cash on me and had to request SA banking details to do a transfer Wasn't happy bcz the owner and the agent were not communicating, was talking to the agent bit the owner kept sending staff to my room to ask if l paid I ddnt like that The payment option and the unnecessary knocking at my door by staff at 10Pm

• Shoeshoe (6/5): It was good the water issue was sorted so generally the place is good - It’s beautiful and has a lovely garden You have hooter at the gate so not friendly if you are walking. First two morning I used bucket water as the water from the shower was lukewarm

No doors on the toilets just open space that a person in the bedroom saw you sitting on the toilet. The shower and toilet are in the same space and drainage is poor. There was water which was not draining well in the space where the toilet was.. poor set up of toilet and shower. The floor in the room was dirty. I would not book to stay there again. Bed was firm and clean

• Dudu (2/5): The experience was not balanced - The view is amazing. The landscaping is beautiful. The fairy lights make it look magical at night. There is no air conditioning, no kettle and cup, water is cold, the front has a locked gate, no signage, the back has no gate, the property is accessible. The night watch did not speak English, the receptionist refused with owners number.

• Clifton (6/5): Pleasant - The facilities were super clean and the guards were friendly. I was scared at times due to some incidents of violence and noise on the premises.
• Nobesuthu (7/5): We loved our stay and we will be going back. There are a few things to still improve however it’s a new place so it’s un - The property ie very clean and tidy. The place is fairly new. They didn’t offer most things like the TV didn’t work. The place is very cold and there are not heaters to keep you warm.
• Danielle (1/5): They made me feel like I was so demanding and being unreasonable for asking for basic necessities. - Breakfast was not served. Despite the fact that the lodge offered the service when the accommodation was booked on the website, they claim that it was not available at present. I also had requested for a refund so I could go somewhere else but I was told they will provide the things I had requested. I didn’t press to get the refund as they appeared reluctant to do so, which is understandable. 1. No kettle and equipment for making tea or coffee were provided in the room. I had to request and they had to go and buy. When the owner brought the stuff I even overhead her in the local vernacular saying I brought the things he was crying for. Hence I didn’t touch her coffees/teas. 2. No where to plug the kettle in the tea/coffee making area and it was placed on the floor and plugged to the socket behind the door. 3.No food was available on premise and no brochure to guide you where to get certain basics and nearest shops is provided. No local important numbers and where to order food from and how best to do so etc 4. The receptionist had no clue what is customer service and had zero knowledge of the hospitality industry. Therefore, we are of the opinion that it is essential that you guarantee that the facilities and services are available as advertised and that the staff receives additional training. Grandview Lodge If you are planning to stay at Grandview please don’t bc you’ll regret it. I give this lodge 1 out of 10 just for existing. Lemme break it down all for y’all. 1. Open toilet/shower area to the room is a no for me. 2. Low water pressure to get the toilet to flush or enjoy a warm shower. I had to ask them to switch on the water. 3. Toilet/shower area windows don’t close tightly and as it was winter at my time of visiting the room was freezing cold. 4. No bathing towels were provided. I had to request, however I already had mine so didn’t touch theirs which they provided after my request. 5. No shower gel and shampoo provided. I had to request. However, I already had mine and didn’t touch theirs which they provided after my request. They only provided a bar of soap they just bought from the supermarket. 6. No moisturiser provided in the room. 7. No blackout curtain for a deep sleep, the lace curtain just didn’t do it for me. at your food or have your coffee. I noticed they don’t cater for such things anyway. 8. No iron was provided in the room and I couldn’t iron my clothes. I didn’t even bother asking them. 9. Not a single hanger was provided so I couldn’t even hang my clothes in the wardrobe. 10. International standard sockets on either side of the bed did not work. 11. No remote control was provided for the TV so I couldn’t use it. 12. I had to go and ask for the WiFi password instead of having it provided when I checked-in or find it in the room. 22. No air freshener was provided in the room/toilet. Not to mention that there was barely any toilet paper or bin for trash. There was only one thin blanket provided in the room despite it being winter in Zimbabwe and I had to sleep with my clothes to keep warm. I couldn’t bother asking them. Fortunately for me, all I really needed was a place to sleep after having burying my beloved mother and God was able to provide me this place, he saw it appropriate for me under the circumstances.
