- Andreas (6/5): Für das Geld gehe ich dann doch lieber in ein hotel oder Pension. - Die Dusche tropfte ununterbrochen. Die Badtür ließ sich nicht zu machen, außer man hat abgeschlossen. Die Küchentür ging gar nicht zu. Es war viel zu hell im Zimmer da die Vorhänge nicht ausreichend waren.

- Caroline (7/5): - Lage sehr gut! Der Eingangsbereich ist ungepflegt und in der Nacht alles sehr dunkel und das Haus wirkt sehr unbewohnt. Also im Dunkeln in die Wohnung zurückzukommen ist nicht so angenehm, wenn man alleine ist.

- Julia (8/5): - Tolle Lage, guter Preis. Babybett wurde gestellt. Unkomplizierte Kommunikation. Parkplatz vor der Tür. Das Licht im Hauptraum geht nicht, dafür gab es eine kleine Stehlampe.
Die untere Haustür geht furchtbar schwer auf. Auch mein Mann hat ein paar Mal gebraucht. Das war sehr erschreckend, wenn man im dunkeln mit Kleinkind dort steht und ewig nicht reinkommt.

- Les (3/5): A miserable place to stay in Kulmbach - Located within walking distance of the market square, Fischergasse 1 is a shabby looking building at the start of a less than salubrious street, with a scruffy piece of land at the rear of the house for parking. The entrance is via a dimly lit, musty stairwell. The flat, located at the rear of the house, is reached up several flights of stairs (no lift) and overlooks the entrance to the town’s central, underground car park and the rear of some municipal buildings. In the quaint town centre of Kulmbach, there can hardly be worse views and more noise from early morning traffic than from here. The key box code we were given was incorrect and we had to ring the letting agent to get the correct number.
The main room was sparsely furnished with what looked like IKEA’s cheapest furniture and a light grey carpet stained by previous use. The wardrobe had a mere five coat hangers and was full of cleaning stuff; there was little scope to store clothes in this rickety cupboard. A vacuum cleaner and a child’s bed provided some unwelcome clutter. The bathroom looked like it had been fitted decades ago and the kitchen was cramped and lacking both fridge and coffee machine (promised items). The kitchen door did not close properly. There were no dining chairs or table; no shampoo in the bathroom and only two toilet rolls. In fact nothing had been provided to make you feel welcome in this student-like accommodation. It was mid-summer and very warm under the tiled roof with no means of cooling the flat (no air conditioning or even a fan).
There was no clarity regarding parking. The Booking.com app stated that “free private parking is possible on site (reservation is not needed)”. Other occupants of the house, however, seemed to think we were unrightfully occupying their private car park and put a notice to that effect on our car. Thanks for the warm welcome!
There were no instructions for the TV or any of the other appliances. The washing machine shook violently, but we used it little as there was nothing on which to hang wet clothes.
The whole booking was managed by a letting agency. Before you can access the information necessary to gain entry to the apartment, you have to undergo an identity check. All a bit Big Brother, for this crummy dwelling and a further intrusion into one’s private data.
We were extremely disappointed by their level of service and the poor standard of the accommodation itself. For about €150 per night, we do not consider this value for money; and certainly not “charming”.
- Markus_Erhard (4/5): Schlechtes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis - Sehr gute Lage, 2min entfernt vom Marktplatz der Altstadt und direkt am Füße des Bergs der Plassenburg Extrem teuer mit 200,-€/Nacht ohne Frühstück, für ein sehr simpel ausgestattetes und lieblos renoviertes Appartment in einem etwas heruntergekommenen Haus.
Sehr fragwürdige Methode des kontaktlosen einchecken. Man bekommt eine SMS von einer unbekannten Handynummer, auf die man nicht antworten und die nicht mit den bei Booking.com angegebenen Telefonnummern übereinstimmt. Die SMS enthält keinen klaren Bezug auf die Buchung. Man muss auf Webseiten von Drittanbietern gehen, die auch keinen klaren Bezug zur Buchung aufweisen und dort detaillierte private Angaben machen und seinen Ausweis hochladen. Die Codenummer für die Schlüsselbox die man dann erhält ist falsch. Die richtige Codenummer erhält man dann per Email.
Auf Booking.com steht kostenlose Parkplätze direkt an der Unterkunft ohne Reservierung. In der EMail ist dann von einem öffentlichen Parkplatz 300 m entfernt die Rede. Was ist richtig? Wir haben uns direkt vor das Haus gestellt.
Alles in allem, wäre es viel günstiger und einfacher in dem Hotel direkt gegenüber gewesen und wir hätten sogar noch ein Frühstück für fast die Hälfte bekommen.

Lage: sehr Zentral gelegen.
Sauberkeit: alles war sehr sauber Das Badezimmer hat leider kein Fenster und ob die Lüftung funktioniert hat, da sind wir uns unsicher. Geräusche hat es nicht gemacht.
