Guest Reviews
- Diane (10/5): - Cosy, well equipped, confortable
- Luke (10/5): -
- Marion (10/5): Perfect in every way. - We loved every moment of our stay it was just perfect for our Christmas. The cottage is lovely & warm & cosy with everything you possibly need its so well equipped more than anywhere we have ever stayed. The sofa is comfy. There were dvds to watch, board games too. There was plenty of coffee, milk & mince pies & a tree up as well as other festive decorations such a nice special touch for us arriving on Christmas Eve. The bathroom is great, a lovely deep bath tub, plenty of hot water & nice big towels. The bedroom is small but lovely a very comfortable bed, bedside lamps that work ive been to places were they don't. There is a garden which was great for my partner to sit out there when he wanted to smoke. The kitchen again is just perfect. it's got everything you need, and we had a fabulous christmas dinner cooked in there. There is a gas cooker, dishwasher, fridge, separate freezer & a washer. I cud go on & on. We loved it so much, I was originally from Cockermouth, so to find this perfect cottage so close to my old family home when i was little so many wonderful memories. And close enough to cemetery to visit loved ones on Christmas day. My partner said that i never stopped smiling. I hope & pray to return again next Christmas.
Thankyou Vivian. Having to leave after 4 wonderful days.

- Angela (9/5): - Cosy and cute
- Hayley (10/5): Excellent - This property had everything we needed and was in pristine condition!

- John (8/5): Fantastic and very helpful owner. - Location, quaint, clean and well equipped. N/A
- Julie (9/5): Great area to explore - We liked the area which was a new area for us to explore. Lovely property with everything that you could possibly need especially the bed which was very comfortable. The cottage was perfect for us .. it could use a lick of paint and a tidy up in the garden but this didn't effect our stay.
- Abigail (10/5): Cute and cosy cottage - The cottage was really quaint and lovely. Exactly the kind of place we wanted to spend a couple of days.
Very modern bathroom with lovely big bathtub which we weren't expecting so nice surprise
Plenty of parking on the streets outside
Walking distance to the town with loads of restaurants, shops and pubs.
If we were to ever come to the area again we would definately try and stay here! Highly recommend.
Also Valerie was so helpful on the phone and she messaged to make sure we were doing ok!
- Simon (8/5): A good location, with good facilities. I think we would stay again, as the price was reasonable too. - Good location for visiting the Lake District. Not too far from the town centre, so you can walk to the town from the property.
It had a good shower and there was quite a lot of space across both floors. The kitchen was well equipped for our short stay.
There is a rear garden, although we didn't bother using it. It has chairs and a canopy, so you can sit outside even if it is raining (which is most of the time in the Lakes!), so it's a handy option. Parking directly outside the property is a bit crampt and not really suitable for anything bigger than a small car. As we had a van, we had to park in the street along from the property, which wasn't too much of an issue, but meant we were using space that arguably belongs to the flats nearby. If we'd parked where we were told to by the property, we'd have blocked in the neighbours. You cannot park on the street in front of the property unless you have a permit.
There were no dishwasher tablets for the machine, so we had to clean things without.
The bath didn't seem to be mounted to the floor - it kept moving if we leant against it.
- Mary (9/5): Superb -
- Emma (10/5): Second time iv stayed in this cottage which is cozy and comfortable. Close to shops and restraiunts with parking outside - Cosy little cottage and comfortable N/A
- Diane (10/5): Exceptional - Cosy, very well equipped, handy for town. The description on Google search - which said they got their info from Booking.com - stated pet friendly which it isn't so you need to get that right for both owner and prospective 'letters' sakes.
- Emma (10/5): Lovely little cottage in great location walking distance to shops and amenities. - Property was very quaint and comfortable Nothing
- Alan (8/5): Very good -
- Peck (10/5): A fantastic stay, would highly recommend - the property was clean, comfy and overall a very pleasant and relaxed experience, a short walk into town, perfect for a getaway the area itself was nice and quiet, we will 100% be booking again nothing to not like
- Les (8/5): Great - Small and cosy but could do with name of the cottage on the front make it easier to find Nothing
- Faycal (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sarah (9/5): Absolutely beautiful cottage, would definitely like to go back but for longer to enjoy it fully. - The outside space was beautiful, really enjoyed reading my book out there. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was lovely. A really nice touch that milk, tea coffee and a snack was left for us. Wish we had had a longer stay.
It was good to have a parking space right outside the property. Thought it was a bit odd that there was some washing on the line outside - didn't interfere with how much we enjoyed our stay though. Nothing else bad to say.
