Guest Reviews
- Rex (8/5): Day of fishing. - Parking was great. Room was clean. Price was excellent.
- fidel (8/5): - Great experience
- Almon (8/5): - Last minute reservation that went smoothly. The check in was one of the best ever. They send you a text with the door code. The room was fine and the bed comfortable. Price was right as well.
- Chris (10/5): - Great place
- Jesus (10/5): Place was very clean and cozy - Room is neat organized and clean. The restaurant next door is also good. The young ladies on Tuesday night cooked up a mean cheese burger 🍔...
- Matthew (10/5): - Old but nice
- Paula (8/5): Very good stay - The room was clean and quiet and the auto check-in process was easy. The room provided everything you would get from a larger motel...coffee, microwave, mini fridge. It was a very good stay and if in the area, we would definitely stay there again.
- William (8/5): - Comfortable room and bed. Great place to unwind after a day of fishing and sun
- Andrew (10/5): - Super clean and affordable. Location in proximity to the reservoir was great as well. We were just passing through but, next time we're in Manila, we will definitely stay here again.
- Kelly (8/5): - Small little motel. Contactless check-in. Never saw or met any staff. Room was simple but clean and stocked with coffee and some granola bars. Building itself was weathered and dumpster across the parking lot was overflowing with trash. Restaurant across the parking lot was closed. Not many restaurants in town.
- Wendy (10/5): - check in process for door code.
- Johnathon (10/5): - Easy process and clean rooms.
- Zane (10/5): Gone fishing - Very comfortable, beautiful area. Very generous in allowing me to change reservation from 3 to 2 days.
- Alex (10/5): - Loved being close to the gorge, great bang for your buck definitely will be back!
- Hillary (10/5): - Perfect little spot!
- Mineta (8/5): - The beds were very high. It was difficult to get into.
- Fred (8/5): - Everything went well. Rooms were clean, restaurant by motel.
Will stay again
- Mario (4/5): - Paper thin walls, tv doesn’t work, restaurant staff was rude. Have a service dog and went in for a Togo order, kid yelled at me saying only service dogs are allowed. I told him she was a service dog and he asked for papers. I told him he cannot ask for paper per ADA rules. Would not take my order. No other restaurants open in the area. Felt this place was a big mistake.
- Nicole (8/5): - It was not bad at all, I liked the access to the rooms being a door code and that the people were there if you needed but didn't bother you at all. Only a few pointers, it would have been nice if there was any counter space or somewhere in the bathroom to put your toothbrush or hair stuff to get ready, or in the shower there wasn't anywhere to set down shampoo etc but on the floor. Maybe another chair just in the corner and two nightstands (or just a small table) Overall though it wasn't bad, cute little place.
- Antone (10/5): - Perfecto. Great little motel.
- Fred (10/5): - Only problem. Had hot water for one minute, then cold. Woke me right up!
- Holly (10/5): - People friendly
- Robert (10/5): - Room was clean
- Jack (8/5): - Simple and clean
- Antonio (10/5): - Nice place
- Ryan (8/5): - I had pretty low expectations, but was pleasantly surprised by the condition of the room. We did find a spider, and a couple other bugs- which really shouldn't be a surprise given the setting/location. Sealing around the window AC unit (paper) could definitely be improved, which might be a contributor. Overall, it was a better stay than I expected. Zero interaction with the staff- I just got a text with a code for the door. I don't think there even is a front desk. I think if you have problems/questions, you'd go talk to the folks in the restaurant.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Cheap stay, great value for the price. - Easy contactless checkin and checkout. For the price it was perfectly fine. If you’re looking for a higher end place to stay, keep looking.
It was quiet, clean, beds were comfy. Although we found quite a few spiders but that’s to be expected I suppose (and they probably keep other bugs out too).
- Jack (8/5): - Rooms were excellent for the location. Great value for what you get.
- Erica (8/5): - It was clean and basic for my one night stay. Couldn't find an ice machine or a blow dryer. Son lighting made it a little uninviting, but suited my needs.
- Antonio (8/5): - Nice stay very convenient and clean rooms
- kim (8/5): - They sent a text with the room number and code. Easy to check in. In window air conditioner was noisy, however we didn't hear anything outside. Bed was comfortable, room simple, yet it fit our needs.
- Thomas (8/5): - .
- Justin (8/5): - Good place to park a boat when fishing
- Eleney (10/5): - This place is really clean and has amazing views.
- Susan (8/5): - The hotel was simple but fine - nice bed, clean bathroom, great shower. Manila is kinda in the middle of nowhere but close to Flaming Gorge. I suggest the hotel get an extension cord for the coffee maker. But the place was comfortable and the burgers at the restaurant are great!
- Justin (8/5): - Great place to stay when fishing. Nice boat parking and plug ins.
- Jan (10/5): Great son - Very nice rooms and the management was very accommodating
- Scott (8/5): Browning's for the win. - I went out to Flaming Gorge for a weekend of fishing and stayed here, the closeness and convenience is great for access to the lake, and to everything in Manilla. The Bed was a little firm for my liking but the mattress was new and in good condition, overall, for the money it is very good.
- Kevin (10/5): - Nice place to stay if you’re visiting Flaming Gorge.
The restaurant is fantastic!
- Doug (10/5): - Clean, Comfortable, accommodating.
- Gary (10/5): - Liked it
- John (2/5): Willing to help in a bad situation. - There was an unexpected storm that came in. We were not going to be able to haul our trailer to that location to be able to do our fishing. Two days before expected date we ask if we could reschedule or refund. They were not interested in helping at all. Although several guide services were rebooking many people into their location. These folks do not care about their customers.
- Brent (10/5): - We went fishing at the Gorge. There was great parking at Browning Motel with an outlet to plug your boat into
- Greg (6/5): - It good
- Mary (8/5): - No smoke detector, no safety lock on door. Room was clean. Good price.
- Chase (8/5): - I feel like the hotel was good for the price! Definitely could tell it was a older building. The only down side was the internet didn't work and everything was closed 7-8pm
- James (2/5): - Overall gross place; don’t trust the ratings calling it “quaint.” Very hot at night—there’s a window air conditioner, but it only blew hot air. My son and I both slept terribly. There are several other sleeping options in the town that I would choose before this place.
- Cory (4/5): - The beds were clean and so was the bathroom, from what we could tell. The property is really run down but we were fine with it because we weren’t in the room for long.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Beware of getting a room on the first floor. The walls are thin and if you get a family up above with a dog that plays RAP music you will hear EVERYTHING. We were not able to sleep until they went to sleep.
- Wayne (10/5): - Quite.quaint
- donna (8/5): - Clean, quiet, easy check in. Comfortable bed with nice pillows, comfy spread. Microwave, keurig coffee maker, small refrigerator. Good reception on tv. All in all, it was a very Comfortable stay! Will be staying here again the next time we're in the area. We had room#9.
- Roberta (8/5): - Easy ten minute drive to meetup with boaters at Flaming Gorge, Lucerne Marina. Newly remodeled. Simple but very clean and affordable. Fine place for access to lake, bed and shower. I had a question about remote check in and got a quick return text that cleared things up.
- Cody (10/5): Stay - The stay was perfect for my needed stay.
- Debra (8/5): - The cable kept giving us problems other than that it was nice and clean.
- Cody (10/5): Stay - Was a comfortable nights stay.
- Brian (10/5): - It was a really clean place and the food at the restaurant was awesome you must try the French fries and Jalepeno burger.
- Wayne (10/5): - Perfect
- Bill (8/5): - Unique accommodations, really quiet.
- Bill (8/5): - Nice and quiet
- Marian (10/5): Great local hotel - Great little local place for a stay while exploring the area. Clean, responsive and friendly hotel personnel and nicely different.
- tammy (10/5): - The beds were the most comfortable I’ve slept in at a hotel for a very long time. I had no trouble finding the place, plenty of parking, and I found my room right away. You could tell there has been some recent updates as it’s an older building. But I like older buildings and This One has great bones. It’s a super small town, but it still has some pretty nice views. Gas station right next-door and a diner across the street that serves lunch and dinner. If I’m back in the area, I will stay here again.
- Brandee (10/5): - Very old but very cute and clean.
- Brenda (8/5): Cute little place to stay - The beds are super comfy. The room is on the small side, but that is ok, it’s part of the charm. I would suggest that minimal housekeeping be done during stays. We only had 2 towels for 2 people for 3 nights… glad we had beach towels from the boat! Also the floor needed swept during our stay.
- Dina (8/5): - Easy access basic room.
- Dustin (10/5): - Rooms are good people are nice
- Bill A (10/5): NHSFR - Hassle free, quiet and inexpensive.
- Steve (6/5): - Okay for a late night Sunday checking…
- Ray (8/5): - I thought it was very convenient having the restaurant next door and the food was very good. It would have been more convenient if breakfast was available. The bed was comfortable, It would have been nice to have ledge / shelf in the shower to set shampoo on and not that it was a huge deal but I found a dried up contact lens on one of the beds when I checked in and that was very convenient as well with the door unlocked & the key waiting inside.
- Glenn (10/5): - An older property but, updated & clean. Beds were firm yet comfortable. Plenty of parking for vehicles with trailers in tow.
- Sharon (10/5): - This small hotel in a small town was a great experience. When we first arrived, I wondered what the room would look like since it was rather rustic and by a rustic-looking restaurant. However, it was a delight! No staff was on site; however, I was texted a room number and the code to open the door. It was so easy. The restaurant next door was friendly even though they were busy as the only restaurant in town. It was convenient as we traveled from Utah to see the Flaming Gorge. Thank you!
- Steven (10/5): - This is a budget hotel so amenities are minimal and space is limited. That said, if you are out on the lake all day and want a very clean room with good AC, hot water in the shower and new, firm mattresses at a nice price, you can't go wrong here.
- Marvi (8/5): - If you’re looking for a great end affordable motel to stay in the Flsming Gorge area, I highly recommend Brownings Motel. We stayed there for 2 nights and it was clean, had all the essentials we needed and the hosts were great at communicating prior to our stay.
- Dawn (6/5): - The check in was easy with a code texted prior to check in. There was an electrical issue at the property and we lost power 3 times. The host was prompt in getting someone there to “trip the breaker”. However, after the 3rd time, we checked out a day early. The host did not offer any reimbursement for this inconvenience.
