- Hedy (9/5): We love staying here but owner needs to listen about having a freezer …,, - We have stayed a few times and find cottage comfortable and a great location Freezer - Even a table top one - This has been mentioned a few times but still there is not one….. Shower could do with an upgrade
- Jackie (9/5): - Lovely cosy cottage, well decorated and equiped, comfortable beds and settee.
Very pretty village close to Richmond.
Great location for attending local wedding.
- Dave (10/5): -
- Paul (10/5): -
- michael (9/5): A very light and spacious cottage in a lovely village. - A fridge with a freezer compartment
would have been nice for ice with our gin & tonics!
We've stayed at many cottages in the past
and myself have owned one for a few years.
I always think a welcome basket should be more exciting
Biscuits, of course, bottle of wine, sweets for kids, and an imaginative toy/trinket for them
so they remember to encourage their parents to stay again.
Dog treats are good ( which you did supply )
Thanks for a lovely stay

- Sharon (8/5): - Nice property with plenty of room
- Hedy (10/5): Absolute Gem - In a beautiful location x -
- Naomi (10/5): Wonderful stay, lovely cottage and Adele was really helpful . Thank you - Had a wonderful stay at Jasmine cottage. It really is lovely. Very comfortable and dog friendly. A great place to wind down and relax. Will definitely be back.
- Nicola (10/5): -
- Angela (6/5): We really enjoyed our stay it was very comfortable liked the seating outside. Also liked the reading nook - Very comfortable nice furnishings and a lot of thought has gone into it. The kitchen lacked cooking tools the pans were in poor condition. I think a non slip mat and grab rail in the bathroom would be good.
- Lisa (8/5): Lovely cottage in a fab location. - Great location, such a lovely village, nice interior, plenty of utensils. It is so much bigger than it looks on the pictures too. Great and quick response to messages. The beds were too soft for our liking, but that’s personal preference.
It could do with a bit more thorough cleaning. The microwave, bedding, bathroom etc are clean, it’s just the deeper clean in terms of hoovering under the sofa and under the baskets in the living room, which hasn’t been sweep (not for a while we would say) also some dirty pots, which again could be missed as I understand it’s a quick turnover between guests.
- Alison (10/5): Cosy Christmas - Cosy, location and facilities.
- Harriet (6/5): Great location for Yorkshire Wedding Barn when you are not planing on spending a lot of time at the accomodation - Great location if attending a wedding at Yorkshire Wedding Barn, the property itself was lovely and charming. There was a feel that the property could do with a freshen up, the kitchen and bathroom for example were pretty old and basic but also felt like they needed a good clean and a lick of paint. Also lack of facilities for washing/drying up etc. We had our baby with us so had a lot of things to wash up and dry etc.
- Megan (9/5): -
- Eleanor (9/5): -
- Bryony (10/5): Good place for the Yorkshire wedding barn - Brilliant location to the Yorkshire wedding barn, taxi £10 per way.
Good WiFi
Good heating
Plenty of parking off road
- Hedy (9/5): Fantastic Place to Stay - Very comfortable cottage that had everything we needed - Close to local towns and a great village oub and community Fridge needs a freezer compartment
- Stephen (9/5): -
- Ruth (10/5): Quaint, cute and cozy :-) - I absolutely loved the rustic, modern feel of this cottage. It was amazingly cozy. There were a few cobwebs and a bit of dust, however, it just added to the uniqueness.
Adele was an amazing host and was accessible when we had a slight hiccup. Lovely touch of milk in the fridge and some biccies!
Without a doubt, we would definitely stay here again. We loved everything about the property.
It’s just extremely difficult to get an Uber as we were staying for a wedding. Tip would be to order from an independent taxi firm, sadly at double the cost!
- Lorren (7/5): Nice place but some improvements could be made. - Lovely cottage with good facilities in a nice area. Although not noticeably dirty on first impression the property could do with a really good deep clean, the kitchen in particular. There were a lot of cobwebs in the property. Also the shower is terrible - alternate scalding hot or freezing cold.
- Heather (9/5): -
- Fiona (10/5): Very quaint - Cottage lovely, could do with a few things - coffee maker, new kettle and maybe the finish in the bathroom could be improved. the shower head either needed de scaling or replacing.
- Nigel (8/5): Well located and pleasant village house in the heart of North Yorkshire. - The setting and décor. The detailed information on local walks with OS map. A freezer would have been useful for storage.
- Annette (10/5): nice area just cleaning let it down - lovely property well equipped but cleaning in the front room was not to standard there was a lot of long dog hairs in the carpet it was hot and windows wood not open
- Tracey (9/5): - Cute cottage that's spacious enough to comfortably have 6 people in the lounge. Close to Richmond, great local pub. Cottage is well maintained and clean. Has a bath. Superking bed. Good base for exploring Norh Yorkshire. Very scenic. Nothing.
- Stulander (9/5): -
- Bethany (10/5): Exceptional - The property was clean and beds were comfy.
- David (10/5): Exceptional - Comfortable, clean, convenient and classy 🙂
- Caroline (7/5): Lovely property but needs a deep clean - Lovely cottage with traditional features, easy parking, quiet location. Tea, coffee, milk and cupcakes were there on arrival which was a nice touch. The bed was very comfortable Dog hairs everywhere. You could pick up clumps under the sofa, needs a deep clean. Bedroom smelt of dog. I know the property accepts pets but your clothes shouldn't be full of dog hairs after you get dressed. Shower pressure was poor and bath side wasn't fitted correctly.
- Malcolm (9/5): Superb -
- Courteney (10/5): A wonderful stay, very beautiful cottage - A beautiful cottage perfect for our needs. Would definitely stay again. Everything was perfect. No bad comment.

- Jacqui (10/5): A lovely short stay in a good location with a a traditional village pub serving good food only minutes away. - The location. Easy access. Friendly owner, very responsive. Comfortable furnishings. Very spacious. Well equipped. The outside courtyard is a charming, nicely furnished sun trap and is fully enclosed so ideal for dogs.beds were extremely comfortable.
- Jennifer (7/5): Perfect for 1 night. - The location was lovely and the cottage looks picturesque It was mostly white and light pink. While that looked beautiful we were constantly worried about making a mess or spilling something. The parking is on the road which we knew but as my mobility isn’t great it would have been nice to know that you need to go up or down a ‘bank’ from road to door. As it was raining it was quite precarious.
- Elizabeth (9/5): Lovely warm cosy cottage. - The cold tap in the bathroom doesn't work.
- Annika (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tracey (10/5): Lovely relaxing stay in our happy place - This is our 2nd stay at Jasmine Cottage and we just love it! It’s in a perfect location, just 4 miles from Richmond with plenty of walks from your doorstep. The cottage is cosy, has everything you need for a home-from-home stay and has the added bonus of being located in a lovely village with a great pub just 5 mins walk. I loved the little snug where you can curl up with a good book or just chill and listen to some music on the comfy chair. There’s a lovely little yard at the rear which is fabulous in the warmer months and secure for dogs. We will definitely be back to our happy place! Less than 5 mins from the A1, it’s also easily accessible.
- Caitriona (10/5): A beautiful home away from home. - Beautifully decorated, cosy and comfortable with some lovely welcome touches from the hosts! Water pressure in the cold tap in the upstairs sink is poor.
- Charley-ann (10/5): Stunning cottage - Beautiful cottage and the owner was more then happy to agree to a later check out very last minute due to unforseen snow. Very much appreciated.
- Chrissie (10/5): Wonderful short stay. - Location of cottage is great. Everything needed for a fabulous stay. Lovely touch to have fresh milk and biscuits on arrival. Communication from the owners was very good. Looking forward to staying again.

- Ken (8/5): Very good -
- Hope (10/5): We stayed for 4 nights. Beautiful property. Clean and well furnished. Modern kitchen, log burner co. - Self catering Oil beating a couple of degrees higher. The weather was quite cold.
- Martin (9/5): Superb -
- Hope (10/5): Splendid holiday home - well furnished and spotlessly clean. Every facility available. car space at front door. Rear court yard ideal for a coffee break. not courageous enough to tackle the log burner. preferred using the radiators. everything else was very good

- Peter (10/5): Brilliant over night stay in a lovely village - Lovely cottage and so tastefully furnished Nothing

- Chippindale (9/5): A nice cottage with good hosts in a nice location. - The host's were very flexible and because we could arrive earlier at the property this made the stay significantly better. The only criticism was that the toilet was not clean on arrival, but everything else was spot on.
- Jshaw1970 (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jane (9/5): Superb -
