• Shannon (9/5): Lovely staff with nice rooms - We loved our stay at the Riverbank Hotel. The staff was so incredibly sweet! Upon arrival, we were given free breakfast vouchers (delicious spread), tokens for the grab machine) and upon departure, we were gifted cookies. The rooms appear to be renovated recently and are modern and comfortable with a small sitting area and trike for kids.

• Annie (10/5): Lovely staff, great sized room. - The staff at the front desk were very lovely, the room was very clean and a great size (we booked a room with a king sized bed but the shower and rest of the space was also very large), and the breakfast included both Chinese and Western options. Nothing!

• Jurian (8/5): Good value and location - Friendly and helpful staff, one of the staff speaks good English and checked us in. The location is good with view on the Taohua Jiang river and food stores nearby. Good breakfast. The daily roomservice was nice but they did not clean the shower well I think. On day 3 we had some small moths in the bathroom, upon checking we found many small worms coming from the rubber shower mat. After cleaning it disappeared.In the breakfast room we spotted a roach, they're common for the area but still would prefer not to have them near our stuff. One the occassion we were a bit late for breakfast there were only leftovers.

• Bärbel (8/5): Very Friendly, reasonable Price - Very friendly and helpful staff, very good Price with a nice breakfast, small hotel. Good Restaurant reccomendation in Walking distance. Organized a very good tour to the Rice terrasses. In some Parts of the hotel it could be a bit cleaner, but the Room was really clean.
• Nitzan (10/5): Simply wonderful - We stayed for three nights, and the hotel felt brand new. The hallways were pleasantly scented, and the rooms were spacious, spotless, and inviting. The bed was large and luxurious, with a very comfortable mattress. There’s a well-equipped laundry room, which was extremely convenient, and the dining room serves a delicious and satisfying breakfast. While the hotel is not in the city center, it’s only a short distance away, and a Didi ride to downtown costs just a few shekels. We truly enjoyed our stay having tried several hotels during our trip, this one was by far the best. It met and even exceeded our expectations. Highly recommended! Nothing :)
• Chee Weng (9/5): Excellent service by the staff - Excellent service by the staff. Very hospitable, friendly, polite and helpful. Located slightly away from Guilin centre (15-20in walk from the pagodas) and it's better cause the centre (in August) was utter chaos with jostling crowds and traffic and noise. I love that it's 2min walk from a local morning market that's full of authentic Chinese old-fashioned life. Local taxi drivers didn't know the location. But the reception did give out a card to use if hailing taxis. Only on first arrival, it would be harder to get to.

• Lyka (8/5): Relaxing stay - They are very welcoming and even gave free breakfast. The room is nice and clean. And we had a problem with our sink and they were really fast at responding and immediately called a plumber and fixed it. Very nice overall.

• Rimantas (9/5): Reasonably priced hotel in the central part of the city - Good location (walking distance to everything), reasonably priced, bathroom facilities, free breakfast. Friendly staff, most of it speaks english. Part of the hotel seems to be on renovation, carpets in the corridors are "spotty".
• Mazziepanda (10/5): Exceptional - Staff were great and really helpful. They helped organise an airport taxi. There was one staff member who I think was the manager who had fantastic English and was very helpful (unfortunately I can't remember his name!). Room was spacious and very clean. Was the perfect place to stay for our family. We caught short taxi rides to get to main tourists spots. Breakfast was good. Overall great value for money! Nothing

The service of the front desk is very good and for those not able to communicate in Mandarin language, at the front desk English was spoken provincially. We had nothing to complain about.

The staff were super friendly and helpful, which made the stay even better. Plus, having a washing machine available was a big bonus, especially for a longer trip. Overall, I’m happy with the hotel. • Chau (9/5): Great smaller hotel that is well-located with very clean/comfortable rooms and great staff. - The room was spacious, nicely laid out, very clean and comfortable. Good riverside view. Staff were great - really helpful in assisting with hiring a driver and booking attraction tickets. Breakfast was reasonable variety for Chinese fare but more limited for Western options. There is a laundry room with a bunch of machines which is great. More hooks for towels in the rooms. The rooms are lovely and very clean but the common areas like the hallways and elevator need a bit of updating and though still clean, are not as pristine clean as the rooms.

• Calvin (10/5): Modern Hotel at great location with amazing staff - The hotel is placed at a very nice location near the River and close to the city's main attractions (between 5 min and 15 min with the taxi) and Guilin Railway Station (5 min taxi). Facilities are very modern, beds are super comfortable, Air condition works great, and breakfast is great with the restaurant at the top floor having a great view. However, what is most appreciated is that the staff is very friendly and supportive. Especially the guy at the reception speaks very well English and helped us booking our tour for a Yangshuo activity which was not possible with a foreign passport over Ctrip. Also, he gave us important information about how to get to the places and has happy to organize for us shared shuttles for prices cheaper than going by train. Big thanks! Highly recommend this hotel. -

The room had good facilities including a good hair dryer, nice shampoo, conditioner, body wash, body lotion and even a disposable razor with shaving foam. The bed was very comfortable. Excellent shower. The location is great, close to all attractions and city center. Smell from the bathroom. Often seems to be a problem in Chinese hotels though. Selection at breakfast could be better for westerners. I’d suggest non sugary bread

The hotel is very modern, room very spacious, bed extremely comfortable, excellent shower (hot water and water pressure) and room had all the extra touches we could need. The breakfast buffet was varied, and the hotel even has a laundry room we could use for free, including detergents. Great location within easy walking distance to the main attractions in town. Highly recommend!

• Rita (9/5): It’s worth the stay here with great location, nice restaurant beside the hotel and great hotel staff - Although the breakfast selection is the same daily, our family still enjoyed the simple yet delicious spread. The laundry room is really very helpful as we need to do our loads of clothes and they provide lots of hangers to hang up our clothes. The front desk staff are helpful and prompt in getting your requests attended. The location is great too. Able to walk to many places of interest within a reasonable amount of time. The housekeeping in making our beds was inconsistent. Everyday we came back the room with half done beds. Leaving us very puzzled.

We didn't expect any breakfast service, but absolutly delicious with west-chinese combination for everyone to enjoy. Also free selfhelp laundy service. No lid to cover the garbage bin as the used toilet paper was required to leave it in to prevent toilet blocked, but they empted every day.
• Caroline (10/5): EXCEPTIONAL 10/10 - **Rating: 10/10** I highly recommend staying at this hotel! The location is fantastic and easily accessible via Didi; we took it from Guilinxi Train Station without any hassle. Check-in was quick and straightforward. The reception staff provided us with an English tourist map and some excellent recommendations for Guilin Noodles. They even lent us a power bank to charge our phones—such a thoughtful touch! The hotel is perfectly situated: close to the Sun and Moon Pagoda yet remarkably quiet. The hotel itself is newly renovated, impeccably clean, and features spacious, bright rooms with amazing shower facilities. A highlight was the heated toilet seat and bidet—what a luxury! I’ll definitely recommend this place to all my friends visiting from Hong Kong. They have washing and drying facilities and provide laundry liquid as well as a lovely breakfast of both western and asian cuisine! As a lovely gesture, the manager even gifted us some Guilin dessert crackers upon our departure. Don’t hesitate to book your stay here! Thanks again for a wonderful experience! Nothing! It was great!!
• Claudia (8/5): Great place, staff and location. - Location was great, on the river, 10mins walk from the main city Centre, and quite at the same time. Breakfast was good, especially the local food. Chao was very helpful and lovely and so was the staff I would maybe suggest that when the room is being cleaned, to leave a few more tea/coffee bags in the room, make the bed and double check shower gels and soaps every day. The water supply was wonderful.

• Anna (10/5): Exceptional - Riverbank Hotel is a wonderful place to stay! The view of the river is absolutely stunning, especially at sunrise and sunset. The neighborhood is vibrant and charming. The staff were welcoming, and the rooms were comfortable and well-kept. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a scenic and relaxing stay!
