Guest Reviews
- Christina (10/5): The wonderful mansi residence - The room was spacious, spotlessly clean and very well equipped with tea and coffee, bathrobes and extra cosy blankets.
There is an additional room outside with a seated area, and also the option to sit out by the garden area. The host was welcoming and did everything to make our stay as comfortable as possible.
We throughly enjoyed our stay!
- Amir Hussein (10/5): Perfect place to book if staying for two days in Wadi Musa - Everything was very well thought out. Breakfast was prepared in a takeaway box for me every morning and was great.
Hosts are very friendly and too kind. Very quick to respond to your messages for anything needed.
They also have a little shed like room for chatting and smoking with great touches of decor
Only 20-25mins walk to the entrance to Petra welcome centre. Easy to find too, in a quiet section of the town. Uphill walk, not too difficult.
Recommend to all Everything was great.
- siddharth (10/5): The host were very polite and hospitable - The packed breakfast was good NA
- Berga96 (9/5): - Colazione confezionata in comode box di cartone da asporto, lasciata nella tenda comune fuori dalle stanze.
- Dylan (10/5): Perfect place to stay if you are coming to do Petra and want a great host with a great room - Good location, very clean, big room, came with breakfast/lunch prepared early every day, very helpful host and communicated very well would highly recommend Nothing
- Mihnea (10/5): -
- Emily (5/5): - They were nice people. They offered breakfast. Online it said they accepted card but in person they only accepted cash. The water heater ran out of hot water immediately and refilled VERY slowly.
- Antonio Eloy (10/5): - La atención de Mansi. Nada.
- Adel (10/5): - The place is very unique, authentic, clean and location is on point. The host was very friendly, he made sure everything was alright. Secure and safe private parking!

- Markus-Matthias (10/5): -
- Mitchell (10/5): Great value for money, great host, good breakfast, very clean, would recommend - Good value for money, nice lounge area. Clean Aircon is noisy

- Baravi (9/5): Great Value and comfort, highly recommended! - Excellent! Hammam is a fantastic host who provides all the information you need for a smooth stay. Communication is quick and easy via WhatsApp. The property is conveniently located near town, and the chillout room is cozy and comfortable. The room also includes coffee and tea facilities, which is a nice touch. The breakfast packs are a great option—perfect to take with you if you're heading to Petra for the day.
- Daniela (10/5): We had a great stay here and spent two nights at the accommodation. The place was very clean and comfortable. Whenever w - We had a great stay here and spent two nights at the accommodation. The place was very clean and comfortable. Whenever we needed anything, it was no problem at all to get it — everything was taken care of quickly. The breakfasts were excellent and plentiful, with a great variety: fresh vegetables, fruit, and also something sweet to enjoy. The host, Hammam, was fantastic — he helped us with everything we needed and stayed in touch with us throughout our stay. I would definitely recommend this place! Nothing.
- Juan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mirela (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kanwal (10/5): Exceptional - Welcoming attitude, cleaning and services
- Birgit (6/5): Pleasant - Simple, clean accomodation with no staff on site. Unfortunately, we could not use the communal tent because it smelled very strongly of cigarettes. Unfortunately, the breakfast was poor - not tasty pasta wrapped in plastic. But the price / performance ratio was ok. The accomodation is on the mountain, 20 minutes from the Petra visitor center.
- Burak (10/5): Exceptional place! Host goes the extra mile to keep you happy. - 1. SERVICE: The host provides exceptional service. He is happy to assist in all ways. For example, I didn't like the sandwhich in the first day, he changed the breakfast on the next day. (The breakfast is like a snack box). I also needed a vacuum cleaner for the car, the lent his. He is also quick to reply to messages.
2. ROOM: The room contained every thing needed from a fridge to a hair dryer. It was fairly spacious. Large bed. Clean.
3. FACILITIES: There is a communal indoor space where you can chill. Also parking inside the complex (parking available on street too).
4. LOCATION: Very close to the town centre. I think about 5 minutes walk. To go to the Petra Visitor Centre is a bit longer (5 minutes drive).
5. PRICE. With all things considered, very good value for money.
- Matej (10/5): Exceptional - Location, room size and host were great! Host was responsive and helpful whenever we had any requests or questions.
- Ladin (8/5): Very good - Nice location and friendly staff
- Shiva (7/5): Good - Mansi Residency is hosted by Hammam, who probably is the best host I've ever come across in all my travels. He was meticulous in all the communications he shared with us regarding how to reach the property, how to explore Petra and was also great with local recommendations.
Despite suffering from a personal tragedy, Hammam made time to meet us personally to check regarding our experience at the stay. It was a delight connecting with him. He even provided us breakfast consisting cookies, cake, soft drinks, and a homemade sub in a box which we could carry with us for our hike in the Petra City.
The place has private indoor parking which is completely safe, and is well lit across the lobby and room. It is at walkable distance to few of the popular eateries in whole of Wadi Musa. It is about 15 20 mins walk from the visitor center of Petra. However, I would not recommend walking this distance as it is a steep climb back to the property and it is quite easy to find parking or taxi around the visitor center.
All in all, Hamman made our stay a pleasurable time at Wadi Musa. The room isn't for a family, it works for a backpacking trip.
- Jelle (10/5): Exceptional - De entire residence was superb. Very clean, looks were formidable, beds slept like heaven and a location very close to some nice restaurants and only a 5 minute drive from the main entrance of Petra. We could not wish for a better stay for our visit Nothing
- Francesca (1/5): AVOID AT ALL COSTS! - WARNING: AVOID at all costs!!!
-Ridiculously bad value for money: for what it offers, it is not worth more than 10 dinars per night, trust me.
-Positive reviews are definitely fake or forced by the owner, who every 5 minutes will keep trying to pity and annoying you by insistently asking for a positive review
-The owner does not have the slightest interest or respect for guests: during our stay from the afternoon of the second day he kept on doing noisy construction work, so at 9:30 p.m. I could not stand it any longer and asked him to stop and he said he could not and continued until almost midnight, when he finally agreed to move us to another hotel. He did not apologize or even thank us. He kept worrying only about our review.
The other hotel he transferred us on Booking.com was 5 times cheaper than what we had already paid, plus we found lots of women's hair in the bed. Disgusting indeed.
-The bathroom is microscopic (the smallest I have ever seen), when you take a shower it floods and the hot water runs out after a few minutes
-The room is uncomfortable and cold (a very cold wind was coming through the door despite it being late March), the furniture are very dated and there is no space to put anything, not even a chair.
-It is not a hotel but only 4 rooms inside the owner's house
-Breakfast is outrageous: a miserable sandwich and some cookies of very poor quality
-because we stayed 2 nights, I asked about cleaning the room and he said, "Why cleaning the room? I never heard about it" And the room was not cleaned at all on the second day
-He did not want to accept payment by card despite not telling us in advance, he told us, "in Jordan no one accepts cards" when I told him that I had always paid by card without problems he finally agreed with a very annoyed expression.
-Horrible experience, do yourself a favor: stay elsewhere!!! Believe me, even seeping in our car is better than staying here.
- Marko (10/5): Very beautiful place and amazing owners of the property in Wadi Musa 🇯🇴 - Very good looking apartment! The room was normal size and big enough for the number of people (in this case 3 of us). It has the air conditioner, the tea was provided as well as the kettle, enough number of wall plugs, etc.
The room was able to heat up and personally speaking even the blankets were enough as they were pretty good and warm (Jordan is not so warm in February though).
The owner is really good person, the breakfast was provided in a box but could be eaten in the dining room. It contained a sandwich, juice, water, cookies, muffins and was pretty good. The breakfast was prepared early in the morning even though it was planned differently, but we asked the owner to prepare it earlier due to visiting Petra.
He also provided us with every information we asked, he has a restaurant recommendations, etc. The hospitality was on the highest level. People of Jordan are generally way too polite, so no exceptions with the owner of Mansi Residence! 😁 The bathroom was okay, except the fact that it was cold due to large fan, but I suppose it is needed due to water issues in the area.
PLEASE NOTE that the following fact was NOT affecting my note as the issue is persistent and present in the whole area and has nothing to do with the property itself, but the infrastructure of the town:
As might be expected, the property does have a problem with the water. It does not flow well, so after the shower, the bathroom can be wet and gets dry really, really slow, so it needs to be used with caution. This is a general issue present in Wadi Musa and besides, there's nothing I would state as a con in this house.
- Valéria (7/5): Good - Not noisy location, calm to rest at night, close to downtown, kettle tea and coffee in the room, take away breakfast every morning, nice common area designed like authentic tent, we booked for 2 night but we could deal to elongate with 1 more night, helpful and nice owner Shower hard to use water came out easy and there isn't anything for dry up the floor, bed is so soft so very uncomfortable, room was so moist, poor breakfast variety, weak WiFi connection
- Kadri (9/5): Superb - I liked the house, the view and the breakfast pack, which was great to take along with us to our hike.
The communication was great.
- Norman (10/5): A perfect stay - The property is clean and close to downtown. But a little bit far from Petra Visitor Center.
The owner is very helpful and will responsed immediately if you need anything.
- Aleksandrajj (9/5): Fantastic hotel in Wadi Musa! - Great place in Wadi Musa! Very comfortable, clean and spacious room. Hammam is a fantastic host, helpful and kind. It was our best hotel in Jordan, highly recommended! Parking, wifi and AC works very good. Maybe more variety in breakfast? (some fruits for example)
- Chiehmin (8/5): Very good - The location is very close to the city center, and parking is available along the roadside outside the accommodation. The environment is clean and there is a hairdryer provided. If I visit Petra again, I will choose to stay here again.
- Marko (10/5): Amazing Experience - Room was big and clean. The host was very kind. A gift awaited us in the mini bar, and we were allowed to leave our belongings for the whole day after checkout. All in all, a great experience and highly recommended. -
- Zuzana (7/5): Good - Nice place, with free parking in front of the house. If you plan to go to Petra for the full day, breakfast in form of prepped box is great Bathroom was really bad, toilet sest was loose, shower head had no pressure. Bathroom downgraded the experience from this accomodation
- Marta (9/5): Very good location and helpful owner. - Very good location. The room was fine, not very efficient heating through aircon, but enough to keep warm (in February). Complimentary water and drinks in the fridge and coffee and tea. Very good communication in advance of the arrival and helpful owner Hammam. The breakfast was served in a box and consisted of biscuits and a sandwich and a drink. It was ok and I guess handy to take to Petra, but very poor for local standards. If you like fresh food, buy at least some fruit and yoghurt :-)
- Ekaterina (9/5): Superb - Friends loved the hotel itself, the staff and people in markets were very friendly and tried to help with everything. The rooms were also good. Breakfast consisted of snacks. Water, croissant juice and cookies.
I did not manage to get on the trip, but I was charged for the room according to the rules of the hotel, no complaints here. At the same time my friends went, but they were not offered double breakfast for my separate room for 2 persons. Although it is difficult to call it breakfast in principle.
I also left my card details when booking the hotel and in the days when my friends had already left, someone in Jordan tried to steal money from my card. I can't say 100% that it was the hotel, but I didn't leave my details anywhere else. The hotel owner got in touch and assured me that only he had access and he didn't do it. I have nothing to say about this, but the situation is very unpleasant. You can draw your own conclusions.
You have to be very careful in Jordan with your bank card.
Also everywhere only cash is accepted, and it is understandable why.
- Łukasz (8/5): Nice, quiet place close to Wadi Musa and Petra. - Nice, clean place close to Petra Visitor Centre. Just off the Wadi Musa touristic center. Breakfast in form of a take-away package.
- Mikidutz22 (9/5): Superb -
- Mikidutz22 (10/5): Exceptional -
- Casini (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andrea (7/5): Good - We expected regular breakfast instead of that we got box full of cookies and snacks.
- Bodhi (10/5): Exceptional - Great location for exploring Petra! Room is great, as it is in the pictures. Recommend to anyone visiting the area.
- Eric (8/5): Good place to visit Petra - Great guesthouse, the staff is very discreet but the place is spotless, the owner is very helpful, the amenities are modern, the room was massive and well-equipped. A brisk 15 minutes walk to the Petra visitors center (taxi drivers will try to scam you), the downtown area is very close, with shops, restaurants and a mall reachable in a matter of minutes. The price of the stay in november '23 was correct. I remember reading a comment from a previous guest that the shower was leaking and that the bathroom was flooded. I suspect we had the same room, the issue has still not been addressed. The owner recommended the Elan restaurant , which offers a discount to the guesthouse clients. The actual discount was 1 JD, the place caters for travel groups and is not worth the money you will spend there.
- Estelle (10/5): Amazing stay, good value for money - Hammam was very friendly and arranging: he helped us with many aspects of our stay. The beds were very comfortable and the location was good.
Thanks again for everything!
- Christian (10/5): Exceptional - It was a great place to stay. Everthing clean and very comfortable. The owner was very friendly and answered every question. He even tried to help me when I forgot my EBook Reader in the accomodation.
- Bippina (8/5): Great WhatsApp communication with the hotel, but the bathroom lacks a dry/wet zone separation. - While staying at this hotel recently, I was really impressed by Hammam's excellent communication via WhatsApp. He was quick to address a couple of minor issues in our room, making our stay more comfortable. Just wanted to mention that our bathroom setup doesn't have a clear separation between the dry and wet areas. It's a good idea to put away the toilet paper before showering to prevent it from getting wet.
- Laura (9/5): Superb - Very clean and cozy! Breakfast was awesome 👏🏻 The Wi-Fi didn’t worked properly and the pressure of the water didn’t work well for taking a shower.
- Jelena (10/5): Exceptional - Best place tu stay in Petra. Great location, very clean room.. everything was perfect! Recommend!!!
- Sasa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kate (7/5): Clean, comfortable and not too far from the entrance to Petra. - Lovely room and en suite - everything looked brand new and so clean. Nice quiet location. Adequate parking. Separate lounge beautifully decorated to look like a bedouin tent. Breakfast box tasty and available for pick up from the separate lounge nice and early in the morning. Tea and coffee facilities are available in the room - but only 2 tea bags provided for a 3 day stay! Hamman the owner is very friendly and helpful. This hotel is ideal if you are staying for 1 or 2 nights. After that your bins will overflow and you will run out of toilet paper. The rooms are not serviced each day, presumably because many tourists only spend one maybe 2 nights to visit Petra. I would recommend Mansi find a way to service the rooms - especially emptying bins/ replacing used teabags and coffee sachets/ replacing toilet paper so that we didn't have to ask. Otherwise, it is the perfect place to stay.
- Filip (10/5): Exceptional - Clean room, friendly staff, great location. Recomending !!! All perfect.
- Čarna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Filipa (8/5): Very good -
- Dawn (9/5): I recommend this place and would choose it again. - Really nice room and very clean. There was even a small fridge and complimentary soda and snack/coffee/tea. The rooms are all no smoking but there was a designated room outside for smoking. In a quiet neighborhood. No noise of traffic and off street parking. Only a few minutes from the entrance to Petra. A box breakfast early in the am so one could leave to explore Petra.
- Dominic (7/5): Good value for money to visit Petra - - Perfect location to visit Petra and very close to Wadi Musa downtown
- Easy communication with the host
- Great value for money - bathrooms: a) missing a shower curtain which resulted in a wet bathroom and unfortunately it never went dry again b) toilet seat was very cheap and basic c) towels where either to new or off a poor quality as we were after using it covered in fuzz
- WiFi had a very low speed and poor coverage
- breakfast was only a breakfast box for each room. On one side it was useful in order to take it with you to Petra, on the other side you should not expect a normal breakfast as it is just a small box with food and drinks.
- 齐 (10/5): Super Clean, Hospital and Lovely Place with great living room. - It’s a gust room in the house of the host, it’s a super clean and quiet place to stay, there are free water and cola in the refrigerator of the room (the mini bar of a 5-star hotel).
The host is very helpful and friendly. We only spent one day there in Petra and we enjoyed our stay very much in Mansi. It’s located at the top of the hill, you may need to take a taxi from the bus station to reach the place, it costs about 4JD. And if anyone wants to book the bus to Wadi Rum, find this contact in WP (not for personal, it’s a business contact): 77918 6928.
Cost for bus: 10JD per person, pick up about 6:30am from where you stay, if you stay in Mansi, congregations you can save 4JD for taxi.
And as we left early in the morning, the host even got up very early to prepare breakfast for us, which is soooo sweet. Thank you soooo much for your kindness and love !!!!!! A few days later after checking out, I just founded that the price of my original booking is actually a little bit lower than what I paid to the host at the spot. It’s not much but the feeling is not that good. I’ll take it as tips which will make me feel better. I would like to go back and stay in Mansi again there is a chance. 😊
- Elvis (10/5): Exceptional - Best place to stay in wadi musa (petra) price quality perfect the guest its very nice person .. everything its clear and new
- Evagiorgia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kata (9/5): Superb - The staff was nice, room was clean and the bed was comfortable. It is close to Petra, and it has an own parking lot. The bathroom needs a renovation, there is no shower curtain so the floor gets super wet. It is also a little noisy, you can hear the other guest from the room if they are on the corridor. The breakfast is okay, but you receive it in a box and the options could be better.
- Andrea (10/5): Exceptional - The staff was friendly and welcoming. The bathroom was clean and tidy. The breakfast box was rich!
We love to have coffee, water and snacks in the room.
- Amith (9/5): Superb - The owner was very friendly. The room was clean and comfortable.
- Petre (10/5): Fair price for quality - The location
The space very goog for group of six Nothing
- Jasmine (10/5): This place is clean, comfortable, affordable, and has the perfect location. We enjoyed the night in the tent outside whi - This place is clean, comfortable, affordable, and has the perfect location. We enjoyed the night in the tent outside which gave out some lovely Bedouin vibes.
The hosts (Hammam and his Mother Laila) were super friendly, welcoming and helpful. The breakfast is super delicious and the portions are very generous.
I would definitely come back again and recommend this place to anyone staying in Petra!
- Carol (9/5): Superb -
- Irene (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mahyar (10/5): Perfect stay for visiting Petra - Great location, clean room, friendly staff
- Jeremy (10/5): Clean, comfortable residence in a great location - Everything at the Mansi residence was (or looked) new. It was clean and comfortable, and there was even a common lounge area to use. The residence was also close to the town centre (5 minute walk) where there are many restaurants and shops. Mansi, the host, was great and very responsive to any request we had. I would be happy to stay again. The only thing we noticed was that the water heater, which was in a closet in the room, turns on and off throughout night so if you're a light sleeper you may want earplugs.
- Irem (8/5): Very good - Overall we were happy with our stay at Mansi.
The beds were very comfortable and they put free drinks in the fridge for guests.
For breakfast, they prepared a box and put juice, water and sandwiches in it. I think they thought well because the guests who come here leave quite early to visit Petra, so they can take the box directly to Petra.
- Ed (10/5): Exceptional - Everything Nothin
- Bernadette (10/5): Exxcellent facilities and great value ! - Comfortable bed, extremely clean, great mini bar selection and lovely bathroom facilities. Nice breakfast pack. Excellent hospitality from the host. The robes were a nice touch! The location was a little up the hill - ok to walk down to Petra but a bit too steep to walk up after a day of sight seeing on your feet! Only approx. 7 JOD for the 5min taxi ride up to the property so it’s not bad at all.
- George (10/5): Exceptional - The room was very clean.
Double very big bed.
Has all the comfortable, Air contrition,Tv,robs.
Has private easily parking and view in the town.
The hospitality was perfect and the price was excellent.
The end the breakfast was family.
The location is very nice and near the center. All the good.
- James (10/5): Fantastic!! - It was a lovely and newly renovated property just over 15 mins walk to Petra. The room was very clean with fresh clean bed clothes and towels. Great value for money. There is secure parking on the property grounds.
Hammam was a pleasure to deal with and very welcoming. He had our breakfast box waiting for us going to Petra with extra bottles water!
- Richárd (10/5): Exceptional - Big bed, clean room, kind staff
