- Lasckey (9/5): Little Gem in great location - Loved our second stop at Little Limetree. Perfect for our needs and great location TV signal played up abit this time, but overcame by watching Iplayer
- Joe (8/5): Perfect place for a short stay and a fabulous location - Great location and perfect for a stopover on our way to and from Fort William The shower looks really nice but the low tray means water makes its way onto the floor so be careful
- Hannah (9/5): -
- James (10/5): Not long enough - Very clean and well presented
- jean (8/5): - Location was very central & the room was lovely & clean with a comfy bed, good bathroom with plenty of towels It is small though, little space to put things, or to move around with two of you
- James Connell (10/5): - Nice comfy little flat with nice big bed in good location for exploring Moffat. No faults found.
- Fraser (9/5): - Great location, had everything you need. Comfortable bed.
- Julie (8/5): It was great. Ideal clean, warm property. Lovely town. Would definately stay there again. - Lovely clean property in a nice part of the town. Excellent for an overnight stay. Lovely bathroom and great to have a choice of drinks. The bonus of a 10% off food prices in the hotel across the road was very nice to have. Also nice and warm. The only slight negative we had was the bed base. The bed mattress was very firm and comfortable but the bed base at the top seemed to be broken/ damaged. The mattress was so good it stopped it feeling as bad as it could have.
I guess in small properties people sit on the bed during the day/evening and lean against the headboard and maybe that’s what’s happened to damage the base.
- James (8/5): Little Limetree - Location was great, room was warm and cosy. Bed was very comfortable. Plenty of space in the bathroom and the shower was really good.
- Louise (9/5): It was ideal . - It was self contained, quite and warm Maybe the bathroom could have had a heater ?
As it was January when we stayed ,

- Ann (10/5): - Great location and facilities for an overnight stay.Thank you
- Lasckey (9/5): Great little place for the price - Owing to our usual accommodation stopovers being already booked caused us to choose Little Lime Tree for the first time. This suited our needs for our one night stay. Due to the Rooms compact and bijou nature had hubby I playing leapfrog to pass each other to get to the bathroom, but saying that there was everything we needed including extra towels and a good range of teas & coffees on the hospitality tray.
Of you're tall like Hubby, you might need to crick your neck in the shower, but everything was clean and the bed comfy.
Dan was helpful in his instructions and contact.
Location is great and close to amenities and we luckily managed to get parked close by on Eastgate, but there is also ample parking down the other end of Dickson Street in the town centre.
To sum up, a great little stopover that has everything you need for the competitive price (please can you put a bin next to the hospitality tray, I had to pinch the one out the bathroom) and fab location. Nothing. It suited our needs for out one n8ght stay.

- Fran (10/5): Just what we needed for our one night in Moffat. Great value for money. - Super cosy. Excellent location. Not many places in the world where you can see the top of a replica Spitfire from the door. All good.
- Graham (9/5): -
- Jonathan (8/5): Good value for money and communication excellent. - Arrived as planned, very small but ideal for a 1 night stay. Coffee tea and a TV were all we needed. Ablutions good. No breakfast but that was part of the deal. nil really. was truly very small but we were warned about that.
- Lisa (10/5): A perfect stay in a lovely clean room with a lovely clean en suite - Perfect room with a lovely en suite in a great location. Very clean and comfortable.
Very thoughtful room with a great selection of teas and coffee. We will definitely stop here again.
We ate at Claudios (the lovely hosts recommended) which is a 5 minute walk away. Being the daughter of a fab Italian chef I can honestly say that we ate Delicious authentic Tuscan cuisine. A rare find and I recommend. The homemade ravioli was fab.
The room is also a rare find 😊 Nothing, it was perfect for us.
- PJ (9/5): Very comfortable and relaxing. Would happily stay again. - Great location. Small but perfect for one or two nights. Food and service at the Annandale Hotel was excellent and you get a 10% discount if you’re staying at little lime. Nothing
- Donald (8/5): - Moffat is a lovely place to visit. Free parking nearby and being just off the main square is quiet while everything is easilly accessible
- David (10/5): Lovely short stay at a great price - Clean, nice bathroom, shower was good. Perfectly positioned a short walk from all the town facilities Bed was a bit firm to our taste but may suit others
- Audrey (10/5): - Cute, clean and very close to shops and restaurants. Nothing
- Audrey (10/5): - Comfy bed and nice bathroom Nothing
- Stuart (10/5): - Small and cosy retreat, in the centre of Moffat. It's a quiet room (with en-suite bathroom), with a comfortable bed, tea/coffee making facilities and plenty of towels, a TV with streaming services and WiFi. If you're packing huge suitcases, this may not be for you.
- Sarah (8/5): Overall a very pleasant place to stay. Thank you. - The room and bathroom were to a very high standard, clean, in a good condition and very pleasing to the eye. Ideally situated to the centre of Moffat. The only negative for me was that the bed was not particularly very comfortable, I do struggle with different beds so this may not be an issue for other people.
- Debra (10/5): - Such a lovely quiet location. Easy to park.
Clear simple instructions on how to access the building. Just lovely. We followed all the instructions but couldn't make the tv work! It's probably just us non techies!
- Jason (9/5): -
- anthony (10/5): Peaceful and quiet - Nice and clean and warm. Easy to find and in a good location
- Karen (8/5): - The location ..the bed was very comfy and pillows ..the bathroom was fab We wasn't too sure about the explanation of the fire escape as my partner is 77 and I'm 68 ..to climb out of a window onto a roof maybe we could have with great difficulty ..but we couldn't understand how we were going to get off the roof into the courtyard
- Sharon (9/5): Gem of a place and great value - Second time here. A little gem of a place, situated just off main square and up a flight of stairs. Breakfast at the Rumblin Tum, as room only which was ideal for us. Great value. Definitely the first place I'd check for when staying again. Good communication from host. Happy customer Everything good
- Sharon (9/5): Great accommodation, compact but has everything you need, location excellent. Definitely stay again - Great location, Brilliant value and comfy bed Happy with everything
- Tim (9/5): Superb -
- David (8/5): Very good -
- Jodie (8/5): Short and sweet stay with little issues. Would definitely be back! - Loved the newly renovated bathroom, bright bedroom, very inviting! Fluffy towels and loved having the sky tv. Didn’t help we came on the hottest day of the year but was far too hot in the room especially with the old boiler in the cupboard. Also maybe frosted glass in the bedroom as a lot of windows looking below into the room. Maybe provide a fan just incase & a fridge wouldn’t go a miss to keep things cool!
- Michael (8/5): Well worth the money if a little cramped - All we needed as facilities and very clean A little liquid soap but no other soap or shampoo. Badly fitting toilet seat
- Payton (10/5): Exceptional - Friendly owner. Lovely clean property in the center of a great location.
- Elly (10/5): Exceptional - Very comfortable little place. I will consider it again if I need to. Close to the main street and all the shops, restaurants, and bars. The bed was so nice and shower as well.
- Karen (8/5): Great wee place - It was very convenient Bed a bit too hard for us but that may be a personal preference.
A blind on the bedroom door would be a good idea for the summer nights
- Jeremy (8/5): Great stop off in Moffat - Comfy large bed. Lovely bathroom. Excellent location near centre of Moffat. Clean, private and a great room for the night. In the summer the room is a bit bright at night. The landing window or room door needs a curtain and maybe the main window needs a closer fitting curtain. Great for 2 people for a night or two but a bit small for 2 for a longer stay.
- Mason (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jontymo (9/5): Excellent location - Great location, small but comfortable room - very good A better mattress
- Paul (7/5): Good - The location was excellent. Great place to stop for one night. Lovely bathroom.
- Susan (10/5): Ideal for overnight accommodation on journey to Scotland. -
- Barbara (5/5): Only suitable for one person, in a single bed for one night. - The bathroom and shower were good. Way too small, with minimal facilities.
- Eric (6/5): Pleasant - Location was good and a quality nights sleep
- Cath (9/5): Superb - Central but quiet and clean. Good shower room, easy to find. The bedroom was quite small but comfortable
- Tracey (10/5): Great little room, just off the High street, ideally located for a wander round Moffat. - Small compact bedroom, with clean and modern ensuite bathroom. Welcome tray with bottled water, usual tea, coffee etc. Room really clean and tidy.
- Karen (8/5): Perfect for a one night stopover. - Great location with easy parking and good to have access to a key safe to let ourselves in when we arrived which removed the stress of being on time to meet someone. A lovely little room which was very clean and relatively comfortable. The bed was a little bit lumpy.
- Robert (10/5): We really enjoyed our stay.Weather couldn’t have been better. We will definitely be back. - The property was clean, bed was very comfortable and the location being just a couple of minutes walk from the town centre was ideal. Everything was just as described.Nothing we didn’t like.
- Helen (7/5): More than adequate for a one night's stay! -
- Richard (9/5): A great value option for a short stay. - Excellent location. Very clean and modern. Nice shower that quickly reached the right temperature. We enjoyed eating in the Annandale Arms. The room is a tight squeeze but manageable. The mattress is firm, which I liked, but some people might not. The room and stairs access probably wouldn’t suit someone with mobility issues.
- Lynn (8/5): Very good -
- Lesley (10/5): Exceptional - Room was perfect, comfortable and very quiet with added extras such as tea and coffee varieties. 10/10 :D
- Matthew (10/5): Exceptional - Good value for money and excellent location Nothing
- David (8/5): A good place to stay in a very attractive town. - Astonishingly quiet despite the central location. Firm bed (ideal for me). Good range of teas. We had problems with the yale lock, hopefully now fixed. Although it was very clean, we had no soap.
- Jarrod (9/5): Superb -
- Sally (9/5): Ideal for us on our way further north. Facilities for such a small space were very good. warm, Loads of towels, good TV - Convenient
- Kevin (10/5): The property and facilities were excellent - The property was first class
- Gemma (10/5): Exceptional - This is our second time staying at little limetree and we can't fault the property. Clean, great facilities and great hosts. It's in the perfect location and within walking distance to fantastic pubs and places to eat. I can't fault anything!
- Nicole (10/5): Exceptional - Very comfortable, clean and well located accommodation.
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional - Fantastic hidden gem! Perfect description. Amazing value for money. Will definitely stay again and highly recommend!
- Donna (8/5): Very comfortable and central - Central and private
- Cara (6/5): Suited our needs for one night! - Perfect location TV that works
- Elizabeth (4/5): Disappointing - Shower Too small. No we’re to put things in bathroom. Need a grab rail in shower
- Greg (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ian (3/5): Poor - Didn't get to stay there as the heating wasn't working. Did not find out till I was at the door. Was given alternative accomodation that was..adequate
- Martin (7/5): Good - The room was cosy and comfortable, was fine for an evening stay or two.. A bit smaller than we thought but still good value for money right in the heart of Moffat. Would recommend.. Was nice lying in bed watching the birds in the trees... Communication with the host was also very good.. The only thing we couldn't get the TV to work.. Not sure what went wrong! We did as was instructed but still didn't work! We wanted to relax and watch TV in the evening however I fortunately had my tablet so we could watch that... Despite this would recommend.. Was only for one evening.......
- Raymond (9/5): Superb - It's a great location , very near cafe shops and pubs etc and easy parking.
The room is cosy and very clean and had good selection on the tea tray.
We appreciated the bottles of water provided. The bed is king size but we felt too big for size of the room.
That's not a critism, just our personal observation.
- Alan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Helen (8/5): Great value in a convenient location. - Room located at the end of a short lane for which we received clear instructions. Although compact, the room is great and the bed very comfortable - room was well kitted out with hospitality tray, chair, tv etc. Bathroom is very good with excellent shower. Great value for money. Local cafes offer great breakfast - can recommend Mutchie's Munchies. We were happy with everything.
- Ormerod (8/5): We would definately stay here if we were travelling further north overnight in the future - Very close to the town centre, restaurants, cafes etc
Really convenient for an overnight stay
Easy fee parking and very clean and comfortable.
- Jim (7/5): Suitable for overnight stay but too small for any couple wishing an extended stay. - Clean and tidy. Very good shower room. Comfy for overnight but not large enough if intending to say indoors during the day.
- Joan (8/5): Great location. Facilities good but I felt a little overpriced. - Breakfast was not available but coffee making facilities onsite. Did get a discount at a hotel in the town Some of the towels had a musty smell about them and very hard. Soft towels preferred, they were well used.
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional - Best in Moffat by far
- Hans (8/5): Very good - Clean room.View in a garden No trafficnoise Recommendable
- Linda (8/5): Very good -
- Joanna (6/5): OK - Smaller bed would have given extra room - was a little cramped
- Robert (7/5): Fantastic and gladly visit Moffat Market Town in Scotland again! - Self-catering / The Town / The Friendliness of the locals / The Incredible efforts and hard work of some local folks volunteering in maintaining the Moffat Market Town including roads, laybys, country lanes, bins spanking clean! Hats off to such Incredible community spirits!
Furthermore, attended a marvellous celebration festival of golden eagles, rewinding, conservation, etc. in Scotland!
Furthermore, the sun was shining magnificently on the Town and its beautiful surrounding hills! None!
- The (8/5): We had a great time there and we enjoyed everything and we would recommend it as part of your journey, thanks Pete and Ju - Very quiet and handy for a great time exploring around the area. Nothing to complain about as it met our expectations excellently.
- Rory (8/5): Very good - Excellent location, comfortable bed. Easy parking.
- Paul (8/5): Good value for money. Ideal for our needs. - Good location, very good value for money, nice bathroom. Ideal for our short stay It is a small room which was fine for our short stay. If I am being picky the bed could have been a bit more comfortable
- Gary (6/5): Pleasant - Lovely bathroom, and central location Very hard bed
- Brian (8/5): Very good - Location & price A bit too small
- Greg (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pamela (9/5): Superb - Convenient to town and restaurants. Lovely room and en suite. Bed was comfortable. Sky TV a bonus.
A lovely ace to stay.
