• Annika (4/5): Amazing beach location, everything else flopped. - The beach was absolutely amazing, we were welcomed well and the drinks were nice there. Unfortunately for us it was more negative than positive experience. Firstly, the photos were outdated. Sauna and cold plunge were not in use no longer. Also the ”gym” did not look at all as in the photos - it was only a punching bag and a couple of dumbells in a messy corner. Public restrooms were quite nasty. The toilet seats looked like something had died in there. Water was rusty or otherwise brown, didn’t feel clean after a shower. No toilet paper, no hand soap. We unfortunately had plenty of rats… we caught a couple of them in the middle of the night, could not sleep for the rest of our stay. When going to bed I smelled sewage, turned my head to my pillow and realised the smell came from there. Literally if someone pissed on. Overall the place needed maintenance super bad, the guys that worked there were just chilling though, and didn’t seem do too much around the place. To be fair I’d do the same living on the beach Why we didn’t notify this to the host, you might ask? Well as mentioned, we had a lovely welcoming, but after checking in one of the guys there became super distant, felt little arrogant and just didn’t have the feeling I could go and talk to the guy.
• Manon (7/5): Amazing place and a great value for money - Amazing location on coconut beach and greatly taken care of. Staff is very nice and it really feel like your in paradise. No pollution on the beach. Everything is clean and a very chill/social atmosphere. Very small internet connexion in the room, not hot shower, extremely hot in the cabin despite the fan, and rats can enter your room you need to be careful. But that’s part of the stay in a wooden cabin.

• Syd (9/5): Exceptional do not miss - Amazing location lovely staff Davin and Parry. The kitchen is closed but there a plenty of options further along the beach. This is GREAT value for money simple huts no A/C a fan and it can get quite hot in the rooms at night but you get what you pay for and this is like stepping back in time 40yrs. Unfortunately there is massive development happening all over Koh Rong. Rafikis may be demolished in a few months. Toilets and showers were clean. Coconut beach is a wonderful spot and close to the action if you hire a scooter on arrival Nothing maybe a little hot at night but my friend slept down on the beach

Si buscas un ambiente del todo tranquilo por la mañana lo encontrás pero por la tarde es el lugar que más se llena de juventud. Eso le da mucha vida. Música tranquila todo el día. Wifi funciona en algunas áreas. Está a unos 7/10 minutos en moto desde Long Set. Que no hay papel higiénico en el baño.

On a adoré - C’est vraiment typique, l’hôte est très sympa, la plage est incroyable, c’est très calme avec un son de musique en fond, l’eau est chaude Moustiquaire dans la chambre très utile et agréable Je conseil mais pas trop de jours, 2 nuits c’était suffisant Le levé du soleil est magnifique, pas de couche du soleil par contre Des odeurs assez fortes dans les douches/toilettes (c’est pas le plus confort pour se doucher ou autre mais bon on sait dans quoi on s’embarque avec ce logement) Pas très pratique car tout est en sable, très compliqué de ne pas avoir de sable dans la chambre ou le lit même avec la douchette de pied à l’entrée (il faut pas trop aimer son petit confort) Point assez important, on nous a grignoté des affaires dans la nuit qui étaient dans la chambre, on pense à des rats! Ils ont mangé un sac, une trousse de toilette et des médicaments et produits de beauté emballé en plastique … Les proprio n’avaient jamais vu ça et nous ont offert un petit dej du coup, plutôt sympa ! Autre point, il n’y avait pas de restauration au logement car le chef a démissionné, on allait du coup dans un restau à 3min à pied même pas

• Sam (9/5): Paradijsje! - Locatie was prachtig alleen iets moeilijk te vinden met scooter. We zijn naar meerdere stranden gegaan maar vonden coconut beach echt het leukste. Hele chille en gezellige vibe. Eten is lekker. Hutjes klein en simpel maar prima en comfortabel. Ventilator was voldoende! "Gym" op het strand erbii leuke toevoeging. Douche en wc in een hokje en maar 2 voor alle gastsn wat onhandig. Leek ook niet altijd even goed worden schoon gemaakt. Veel hondjes (vonden we super leuk) maar blaffen of vechten snachts soms.

• Lois (8/5): It’s decent value for money. - The property is beautiful and the huts were really nice and clean. Only 2 toilets/ showers for everyone. There was no WiFi in our bungalow. One of the bartenders came across a little patronising when I didn’t have any small change to pay with which put me off going to the bar.
• Arnold (8/5): Super cadre, restauration cher sinon bien - Le cadre est magnifique! Logement pratique et fonctionnel même si pas beaucoup de place dans les cabanes. Action de nettoyage de la plage! Les prix du restaurant sont très élevé (les plats sont bon). On ne sait pas vraiment qui travail ou pas et certain employé sont spéciaux, on a parfois l’impression d’être juger et de déranger.

В домике всю площадь занимала огромная кровать, чтобы пройти лечь надо проходить и пригинаться спиной или ползти от изножья по кровати. Заходить в домик неудобно, там очень простенькая лесенка из палок, я боялась всякий раз подвернуть ногу. Душ только холодная вода - поставить проточный водонагреватель не так дорого (странно, что это не сделано ! Небольшая инвестиция даст сильно больше комфорта).На несколько ночей всё это можно пережить, но на долго я бы сюда не вернулась.
• ALEXANDRA (1/5): - Coconut beach is really nice The place is extremely dirty and poorly maintained. There is a bad smell everywhere. The bathrooms are the worst part — they are never cleaned, and there are only two for all the bungalows. We ordered rice, and it was full of ants. The staff did nothing to clean or take care of the property. It seems like no one is making any effort to maintain the establishment.

• emily (8/5): Relaxing - The accommodation is right on the beach front so is absolutely beautiful to wake up to and walk straight onto the beach. The staff are amazing, friendly and welcoming. And the food on site is great!! The toilets are a little rough and ready, with cold showers, but they wasn’t unbearable.
• Lockwood (6/5): A memorable stay for many reasons... - Coconut Beach is the best part of Koh Rong if you're looking for a tranquil getaway. White sand, clear water - it looks like paradise! As most people come during the day from other parts of the island or nearby hotels, your section of the beach feels super secluded, especially early in the morning or early evening. We got up at sunrise and it was magical. There's plenty of shade to be found under the coconut trees so even at the hottest parts of the day, you can still be hanging out on the beach. The food and drink selections are great - the best coconuts are obviously here! And your food can be as healthy or indulgent as you like. The protein pancakes were particularly delicious. Also when I saw a member of staff drinking some kefir juice, even though it wasn't officially on the menu, they were kind enough to let me order one. You can also walk just a few minutes further up to some great hotel restaurants, some of the best food I had in all of Cambodia were at these places, so you're spoilt for choice. There's an outside massage parlour set up right by the place provided by locals - a massage on the beach followed by a cocktail and watching the sunset from your lounger awaits you here! Super affordable and it's nice to feel like you are supporting the Khmer people. They were lovely too - my boyfriend belched pretty loudly during his massage and we all shared a pretty big laugh about it!! The people who run Rafikis are a mixture of backgrounds, but they're mainly British, so it can be a relief for any English speaking visitors not having to think about language barriers. Callum was a particularly friendly member of staff who we appreciated. There are also local dogs running about the place who are super cute and chill. Our fans and mosquito nets didn't work well enough (for context I've stayed in other places where I've had to use both so it's not that I'm inexperienced) and coupled with the dirty water to wash with, I left Koh Rong with a skin infection. So just be warned - this place really is NO FRILLS - the shower is right next the toilet and I bought a bottle of water to wash my hair with. We were prepared for Koh Rong water to be dirty, and the staff do their best to keep their facilities clean, but it really is basic. There was an intentional power cut in our rafikis at one point while the staff worked on building something, which wasn't announced, so I went back to my rafiki fresh from a shower to a dark and humid room full of mosquitos. That was probably the part I got the most frustrated on - but again, the surroundings make it hard to hold onto any annoyance. There was also some confusion with whether they had drinking water provided or not - there was a water cooler by the bar on the first day, but the second day it had run out and I had to purchase a bottle. The next day when it was still unfilled, but this time I was gifted a bottle. So maybe it comes down to availability and which person is running the bar? The staff are all very chill, but while most are friendly, some are a bit more aloof. Our party took it with good humour though. There was a time where we went up to order but a big sign saying BACK IN 20 MINUTES wasn't super helpful when we didn't know when the 20 minutes began ;') it ended up being a bit longer than that, which isn't the end of the world when you're in literal paradise, but it may be a helpful small note for Rafikis going forward to make ad hoc signs like that just a little clearer.

Steps to enter the room - very steep. WiFi is not available everywhere and is not very fast. But - we were not at Rafikis for the WiFi:)
• sarah (7/5): - Update: it now says this hotel is permanently closed on Google. We recently stayed at Rafiki’s on Koh Rong and overall had a good experience, especially for the price and beachfront location. The beach is beautiful and fairly quiet, yet still within walking distance of other resorts if you want variety. The vibe is very chill and perfect for unplugging. The food was genuinely amazing and everything could be made gluten free, which was such a treat. Huge shoutout to the new Turkish chef, as that alone made a big difference in our stay. We appreciated the welcome drink, the friendly dogs and puppies, and our simple beachfront bungalow with a fan. Waking up steps from the ocean was special. There is also some basic gym equipment, which was a nice bonus. Overall, it is great value for money. There are areas for improvement. The bathrooms were extremely basic and often not stocked with toilet paper. The sheets never quite felt clean and were consistently sandy. Some sand is expected at the beach, but fresher linens would elevate the experience. Service was inconsistent. At times it felt like we were inconveniencing staff when ordering food, especially in the mornings and evenings. We went to Amor a few nights because the staff there felt warmer and more welcoming. Rafiki’s sometimes seemed understaffed or unclear on roles, with guests looking around for help. One morning the common area felt very tense among staff, though it appeared resolved the next day. Mosquitos were also intense. This is expected on a remote island, but it felt noticeably worse than other nearby spots. Rafiki’s has incredible potential with its amazing food, stunning beach, great price, and relaxed setting. With more attention to hospitality details, organization, and room upkeep, it could be truly excellent. I would still recommend it to budget conscious travelers who prioritize location and vibe over polish.

Toilettes et douche dans la même pièces et il n’y en a que 2. Quand tu rentres dedans ta juste envie d’en sortir. Peu être un ptit coup de rafraîchissement serait top. Aller au toilette la nuit est flippant ! À part ça c nikel mais je resterai pas plus de 3 nuits personnellement mais je vous conseille quand même d’y séjourné !!

• Pawel (1/5): - Lokalizacja Biorąc pod uwagę cenę i standard w sąsiadujących obiektach, to miejsce zasługuje na ocenę 1. Inne obiekty na tej samej plaży (w tej samej cenie) oferują dużo lepszą jakość pobytu. W obiekcie są dostępne tylko dwie ubikacje, połączone z prysznicem (zimna, rdzawa woda). Rano bardzo ciężko dostać się do ubikacji, może warto pomyśleć o zamianie sauny na kolejne prysznice lub toalety. W obiekcie znajduje się siłownia i worki treningowe, z których korzystają głównie zapatrzeni w siebie pracownicy, zamiast zająć się potrzebami gości. Naprawa zamków w ubikacji to nie jest nic skomplikowanego a na pewno umili pobyt w tym miejscu. Miejsce kompletnie pozbawione lokalnego klimatu, oferowana kuchnia to typowo europejskie smaki (pancakes z dodatkiem odżywki białkowej, pizza itp) Pobyt uratowały sąsiednie hotele, które oferują świetną domową, lokalną kuchnię.

• Timotej (10/5): - Coconut Beach is a magical place on its own, and Rafikis gives you the chance to experience it even more intensely. The accommodation is clean and practical, and the guys are kind and very helpful. A big plus is the option of dining right there..the menu is thoughtfully put together with healthy choices. I especially appreciated that, since I have a gluten intolerance, they make their own gluten-free dough for pizza, pita, and bread. Practically nothing, just maybe paying a bit more attention to small needs like refilling toilet paper or hand soap… little details like these could take it a step further:)

• Henrik (9/5): All in all a big recommendation!! - Simple but nice bungalows. Amazing location at the coconut beach (very quiet and beautiful). Perfect place to relax and calm down. They also have a very nice outdoor gym. I loved the food and shakes, the portion size is amazing! The mates who run this place were very friendly and helpful with everything I asked for.
• Anouck (9/5): - Les cabanes sur la plage sont vraiment super agréables. Il y a un lit et un ventilateur le strict minimum mais de toute façon nous sommes là pour la mer. C'est un super endroit pour se ressourcer. Coin salon et hamac au bord de la plage à 20 mètre. Mise a disposition d'un kayak et de masque et tubas. Personnel très sympathique. Restaurant dans l'hébergement et dans les guesthouse sur la plage. Attention de la plage si vous n'avez pas de véhicule tout ce fait en Tuc Tuc qui coûte un peu cher. Si vous savez conduire dans les cailloux je vous conseille de venir en scooter la route est bonne mais à partir de l'accès plage ça se complique un peu.

• Thomas (10/5): Incredible experience ! Would 100% recommend. - The place is magical! Directly on the beach. You can see the sea from your bed and hear its wave at night gently put you to sleep. Liam and Perry were really welcoming, and made the place feel like home. The food was exceptionally great. Perry was so kind as to show me around the island, and we had lovely discussions around a game of chess. The place is cheerful, lighten up by the good vibes, the music, the dogs playing around. It’s one of the nicest experience I’ve had, and my only regret is that it was so short.

• Brooke (9/5): Highly recommend ! - I’ve never left a review for anywhere before but really wanted to for here! We had a great stay at Rafikis. The food is amazing - the best we had on the island (the shakin’ beef especially). We didn’t have a lock on the inside of our door when we arrived and let the owners know due to safety (2 young girls) and they immediately fitted a lock for us. They also kindly offered to take our bags to the port for us at the end of our stay as we only had 1 bike for all our bags! Can tell they take on board the feedback as there were lots of things i noticed from previous reviews that were added! The beach where rafikis is, is probably the nicest beach we saw on the island. The owners dogs are so cute. Good outdoor gym too! For the price, this place is great and worth visiting, even if it’s just for the food! No air con but we knew that - it can get hot at night so just be aware of that. A mirror in the bungalows would be handy. Defo need a scooter to get around from here.
• Linda (10/5): Exceptional - This place is outstanding, the location is beautiful, exceptionally clean beach, white sand, a peaceful oasis. The sunrise is directly opposite and made my stay extra special. The place its self is well thought out, with a jungle gym, lots of comfortable seating, hammocks and a place to do yoga, there is a good selection of motivating thought provoking books, and a chess board, I used the snorkels provided, on the coast line there are lots of fish and corals. The staff Liam Callum Sarawen, and Perry are legends, always friendly and smiling I felt like I was with family. They go out of there way serving delicious healthy food and the best smoothies and cocktails I have ever tasted at good prices. Callum arranged my boat trip to go fishing, snorkeling and swimming with plankton which was an amazing day. There are other places to eat along the beach, however the food was so good here I only ate out once, nextdoor is bike hire to explore the rest of the island, although I found this beach to be the best. The huts are cute, clean and comfortable with lights, powerful fan and bedside table, showers and washroom facilities were very clean and good showers. It was such a vibe here most people extend their stay, I stayed one week and was sad to leave as its pure heaven I would highly recommend. Nothing it was perfect

Located on the most beautiful beach (the best one in Koh Rong in our opinion) and run by the nicest people, we had the best 6 days here, it was a highlight of our trip and will be hard to beat! • Kilian (10/5): Paradies on Earth 🏝️ - Rafiki's Retreat on Koh Rong was the perfect place to relax. The entire staff was incredibly friendly and always up for a good conversation. The beachfront gym added the perfect touch to a truly rejuvenating holiday, and the beach itself is hands down the best on the island. For me, it was the best accommodation on all of Koh Rong – a true paradise where I could fully unwind, both physically and mentally.

If you get unlucky with a couple of power cuts, there is no generator meaning no signal and no fan to keep you cool in the night

The accommodation provision is run by a family of two brothers, who were both fantastic in ensuring everything was taken care of and they were extremely supportive and helpful in making my stay exceptionally pleasant. I think having such interactions adds another layer of excellence! And, another shout out goes to, Davin, who is always there to make the best shakes and cocktails as well as engage with all of the guests with good intentions and enthusiasm!! • Anderson (10/5): Exceptional - 10/10 would definitely recommend staying at rafikis at coconut beach! Such a stunning place and views from the bungalow are gorgeous and you can also see the sunrise from this side of the island. Gym facilities and sauna are great! The owners and staff looked after us so well and cooked yummy food, made great drinks and all round good vibes. Protein oats were a fave!

The guys who run it are amazing—just seeing them makes you want to start training, get in shape, and stay forever to embrace a healthy and simple life. The food is absolutely delicious (all of it!), and their drinks will have you coming back for more. The simplicity of this place awakens your most primal instincts. Beach, sports, great food, rest, and repeat… This place is medicine for the soul. Thank you for the warmth and hospitality—I will definitely be back! The bathroom could be greatly improved, guys, with just a few small ideas and details. I'm quite a hippie, so I adapted well, but it might be too basic for a more stylish girl or an older lady. Here are some recommendations: More space or hooks to hang towels and clothes while showering without getting them wet. Larger waste bins or basket-style trash cans for disposing of paper. Mirrors and sinks placed away from the men's urinals. Better water control in the sink, as sometimes it comes out with a lot of dirt. The same goes for the rooms—I missed having space to put my things, some hooks to hang items, and a few shelves for better organization. I hope this feedback helps! 🙂
• Skyla (10/5): Beautiful stay, highly recommend this beach retreat - We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The place has an amazing vibe, chilled music playing all day. The location , good vibes , amazing food & drinks makes it hard to leave at all. The volley ball/ badminton on the beach is great if you want some activity. They also have a sauna (extra charge) and in the middle of building a jungle gym. The guys are always trying to make improvements and are very helpful. The toilets/ showers aren’t the most glamorous but you can look past it when the location and vibe is immaculate!

• Olivier (9/5): Best value for money in all of Koh Rong - Waking up right on the beach with an amazing location is great but the friendly hosts made our stay (pro tip: ask the guys for some kun khmer or boxing training and you will definitely not regret it)

• Vicki (8/5): Complete oasis away from the rat race of travelling. - I loved the location. Just enough people to not feel isolated. The guys who run this place are so friendly and helpful right from taking the booking until you leave. The place had a great vibe and although I travelled alone I never felt on my own. Bonus - I didn’t need shoes the whole time I was there 😂😎ps best cocktails on the island. 🍹 My only very minor criticism were the washroom facilities could be a better but the resident housekeeper does an amazing job of keeping it all clean
• Hannah (9/5): Paradise - Perfect but basic (as expected) little beach huts a stones throw from the sea. On a beautiful white sand beach. Clean with comfortable beds, mosquito nets, good lighting, electrical points for all nationalities and clean towels. Easy access to the bathrooms (basic wet rooms) cold showers with good water pressure. A lovely new sauna and ice plunge tank available for a $5 fee to guests. Great little reception and bar area, which includes a gym zone with a big collection of fitness kit for guests to use. Amazing coffee and some of the best fresh fruit cocktails we’ve ever had. Rafiki Tiki was a fave! Great tunes (eclectic mix for all tastes). Lots of healthy food options available as well as great pizza. Location requires tuk tuk to busier beach nearby. Perfect location for couples or young families. Quiet with a small shop and 3 neighbouring restaurants. Hosts were great, worked hard and couldn’t do enough for us. Lots of fun too.
• Jennifer (10/5): Amazing stay right on a gorgeous beach. - The staff are all very helpful and friendly. I loved being on Coconut beach and just opening our bungalow door to a view of the ocean and feet in the sand. The facilities are basic, the rooms are small, but everything was amazing for a relaxing beach get away. It is a bit removed from the town but I preferred that, there are a few bars and restaurants on the beach and a tuk tuk or scooter can get you anywhere you want. Also - BONUS dogs :) The only feedback would be that a few hooks would be nice to hang things especially towels or wet bathing suits inside the room. An additional shelf would be great too, just to be able to organize things for a longer stay as it was a bit hard to get things in and out of our bags with the small spaces around the bed.
• Mara (8/5): Basic tropic get away with the best smoothies and views - The location of Rafiki's is a 10/10. Coconut beach is nice and quiet without being boring. The brothers who run the place are very friendly and helpful and the smoothies and shakes Sarabon makes are epic Bathroom and toilet facilities are very basic amd shared. No problem but good to know. They built a ice bath next to the sauna, hopefully they upgrade/decorate the showers next. Wash basins are right next to the urinals.. not ideal for the ladies.
• Ingrid (8/5): Overall good and a nice, chill vibe. The music playing all day was disturbing. - Food was really good, just a tad expensive. The location with bungalows on the beach was dreamy. The staff's dogs were really cute and nice to cuddle with. Staff was nice and I liked when they took initiative to play different sports:) They were playing music all day long, kind of disturbed the natural vibe. We also asked if they could turn it off for a while, and they said yes but didn’t do anything about it. WiFi were not reachable inside our bungalow.

• Arno (10/5): Perfect to relax - Wonderful place at the beach to just calm down and do nothing. If you‘re not looking for big luxury Rafikis is the place to go, it‘s got all you need and the guys running it are super chill. Just be aware of the fact that there is nothing really around, we rented a motorbike to get around the island. As long as you don‘t have a problem with a shared bathroom and a cold shower, nothing. Those were never crowded btw

• Marta (9/5): Peaceful and welcoming stay in Koh Rong - We were pleasantly happy to be further away from the chaotic bays of Koh rong village and Long beach! The staff was super welcoming and helpful and made the best smoothies I ever had, which I will dream about forever. The only thing I could point out about Rafiki’s would be the mattress and pillows which were a bit too hard, but overall a comfortable bungalow and environment.
• Miriam (9/5): Excellent new bungalows on Coconut Beach - I had the pleasure of staying at Rafikis, run by brothers Liam and Callum and a wonderful staff, for 7 nights. The bungalows are simple, but the beds are comfortable, and the vibe is warm, friendly, and peaceful. The staff was very helpful and got me anything I needed to make my stay more comfortable. Coconut Beach is gorgeous and there are several additional hotels and restaurants. I loved the drinks, especially the terrific coffee. Thanks, guys!
• Alisa (10/5): You come here for great location,welcoming atmosphere & good food.Very authentic & down to earth - Wonderful location at Paradise Island of the Coconut Beach. Callum, Liam, Perry and Local Cocktail Master work hard to make the place enjoyable and comfortable. They cook, make cocktails and offer welcoming atmosphere. There is a little exercise area, which has a good range of equipment. Beach is amazing. This is a tranquil part of the island, which is what I wanted. Was happy to go back to basics in terms of facilities. Super comfortable bed, lights, chargers and big fan in the hut. As a girl, who does not travel light, would be a bonus to have a rail or storage space, however for such a short stay was easy to overlook. WiFi is very reasonable, I used it for some life admin and to organise my travels.
• Ashlee (9/5): Hands down, best experience of our 3 month travels! - Hats off to the boys who have created such a vibey beach stay! The huts make you feel like you’re spending boujee and being literally ON Coconut beach is an absolute paradise! The shared spaces (gym, eating and lounging) were inviting, spacious and there was just good vibes all day every day. It was good have two fans in the huts for airflow at night. Everyone reviews the food, but honestly, it deserves a mention! None of the boys are chefs/cooks but the quality of the meals they put up are delicious. Yes, they take about 45mins to come out, but just order them 30-45mins before you think you’ll be ready to eat, no biggie. Also, the drinks are amazing too. Overall, beautiful beach, wonderful stay, will definitely be back ! The shower heads inside the toilets aren’t the best design for functionality. The water pressure is very low and the temperature cannot be adjusted and is kinda cold. Didn’t really bother us though, as it felt like a rustic stay anyway, but it might be a bother for some.

• Nina (10/5): Paradise :-) - The owners and the staff there are super friendly and helpful at any time. It feels like paradise! :-) If you aren’t able to eat gluten or you a vegan, the menu there will rescue you! The coconut beach is very beautiful and a scooter rental is available as well, in order to explore the rest of the island. I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely come back!!! The shower area could be a bit cleaner - but that’s it. :-)
