Guest Reviews
- Lorraine (8/5): Friendly helpful young man managing the motel. - Comfortable well appointed room Nothing
- Ronnie Ibrahim (9/5): -
- Susan (8/5): convenient quiet and comfortable - Comfortable bed , tv and coffee tea provided very quiet surroundings, and clean facilities I would prefer more lighting down the driveway that is long and quite dark at night time
- Carol (9/5): - Quiet I should have booked a room with bathroom and kitchenette.
I will do that next time
- Georgie (10/5): - Woodlands Motel was fit for purpose, with clean, comfortable rooms and super friendly staff. Spa and pool was a bonus.
- Fleur (9/5): -
- Brett (4/5): A stay that felt less like accommodation and more like a cautionary tale. - Price. This place needs to be renovated or knocked down. From the moment you hit the massive pothole in the driveway entry until you find the spiders in the showers, you feel like this place may have been ok in the 1980s.
The room itself feels less like accommodation and more like a forgotten time capsule. The ceiling looks like it’s holding onto a few questionable building materials from a bygone era, and not in a charming, heritage kind of way. Every surface has a story, none of them comforting.
The bed deserves special mention. It’s not so much lumpy as strategically designed to eject you if you dare to turn over. Sleeping becomes less of a rest and more of a nightly balancing act.
The bathroom really leans into the theme. There’s a mouldy plastic flower in the shower, which might be intended as decoration but ends up feeling more like a warning. Look closer and you realise the flower isn’t the only thing growing in there. Above the shower is a patch repair where someone has clearly had a go with a paintbrush and a dream. One coat, brush strokes going in every possible direction, like a modern art piece titled “That’ll Do.”
Staff seemed completely uninterested, which in a strange way fits the overall atmosphere. It’s like everyone has quietly agreed to stop trying.
If you’re chasing a nostalgic experience, this delivers. Just not the kind anyone would willingly pay for.
- Tofa (5/5): Could improve with some maintenance to make it an amazing place to stay. - Location was good. The kitchen was well equipped. Was really happy to be able to cook. Oven and stove fantastic. The floor had sunk in where the dining table is and also the bathroom.

- Fleur (7/5): -
- Helen (8/5): - Close to town....comfortable Outside bit tired
- Edwards (9/5): Woodlands Motel - The location was handy to town, the room was nice and tidy and beds were comfortable. We showed up after hours and it was nice to see and envelope with our name and room key. Overall would recommend this place and I would definitely go back too. Nga mihi Woodlands The bathroom was a little dirty. There was no plug in the bathroom.

- Jason (8/5): -
- Metua (10/5): -
- Sarah (4/5): Uncomfortable - Clean towels and sheets. Nice man on the front desk. (Please read rest of review). There’s one ladies shower and toilet and the shower head bracket fell off the wall when using the shower, falling on me and leaving a screw sticking out. The pans in the kitchen were very scratched, we ended up with bits of the non-stick in our rice, and there was only one bowl to use. The walls are paper thin and, whilst not the property’s fault, we had someone coughing and spluttering in the room next door until 3am so did not sleep well. When finally quiet, the room was quite warm so we tried using the fan provided, however it was broken. Also, the woodland behind has been cut down. Appreciating it was Easter weekend, I’ve paid similar amounts (and less) for holiday parks with better facilities and I’m afraid I wouldn’t currently recommend. I’ve seen responses on other reviews saying it will be done up during the quiet period and hope this goes some way to improving it.

- Richard (8/5): Well located budget accommodation in Kerikeri - Close to downtown and to the Stone store. Ample parking. Clean room and facilities. À lovely pool and spa area that we were unfortunately not able to use. We were in the super budget option and so for the price it was excellent. The place felt a little tired and a lot of the surrounding woodland seemed to have been cut down!
- Jenny (8/5): - Helpful staff - very pleasant and welcoming It is an older establishment but we was perfectly adequate for our needs.
- Karen (10/5): Grreat - Everything just lovely Nothing
- Ralf (8/5): - POOL,HOT TUB,SUPER RUHIGE LAGE,REICHLICH PARKPLÄTZE MANCHE SACHEN SIND ÜBERHOLUNGSBEDÜRFTIG

- stella (6/5): -
- Carol (8/5): Comfortable stay. Staff excellent! - Close to Kerikeri business centre A little dated
- Ivan (10/5): - Everything facilities were accessible clean and tidy people were friendly as and we wanna say sorry for being noisy buggers. Thanx for having us x
- Emily (8/5): -
- Mark (7/5): The staff were helpful and attentive, the price point is great and I’m happy to stay here again. - Location and value It’s fairly basic but the price reflects this so if you’re treating it as a place to sleep then this is great, if you like a luxury stay then this isn’t the place for you.
- Manthan (9/5): -
- Esmeralda (7/5): -
- AirMan1979 (8/5): - Nette Dame an der Rezeption. Mein Zimmer hatte alles, was nötig war. Ich fand das Bett bequem. Für Kerikeri echt gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. An der ein oder anderen Stelle wären ein paar Renovierungen sicher nicht verkehrt.
- Rod (7/5): all good - location nothing
- Kris (7/5): -
- Belinda (8/5): -
- Robina (8/5): Just the right place to stay when relatives don't have space for you. - Access to town. Community kitchen facilities. Pool and spa were very nice. good sunrise ans sunset views. too bad all the surrounding woodlands have been cleared.

- wyn morris (8/5): Value for money - Budget accommodation- good value for money.
Good space for parking and clear instructions for after hours. Rented this during autumn so no problem. Oil heater for winter 😯🥶
- Vivienne (8/5): Pleasant cabin yet in need of Maintenance - The location and the cottage was cosy It badly needs maintenance. The floor was falling in front of the shower and the mosquito nets had holes in them.
- Jill (10/5): Relaxing - Very quiet but close to town
- Robert (7/5): - Property a bit tired, but rooms comfortable and clean
- Madison (10/5): -
- Marion (7/5): Basic accommodations. - Convenient and quiet , close to downtown. Room was missing curtains, light bulb, burned carpet. WiFi was awful . Looked more like a hostel than a hotel . Not what I was expecting but I had a bed and a toilet and a shower.

- Janet (9/5): -
- Tony (7/5): -
- Adrienne (3/5): - Location close to centre of Kerikeri township Felt duped by the "special offer" which did not give an honest description and honest photos of the room, separate shared bathroom facilities. I received no response from staff to my voice message or email. That was inexcusable.
- Ben (7/5): -
- Edward (6/5): Functional and clean. Good value. - Location was convenient. Clean rooms. Friendly staff member. All the trees around the property have been cut down for development. No fridge in room.
- Abi (10/5): - Great location
- John (8/5): - A budget friendly Motel that is very clean and tidy. Very good bathroom with lots of room, Shower a bit tired with a curtain where once were sliding doors but overall the curtain still worked fine.Has all the equipment you need, Small kitchen area with little space for any food prep
- Willcox (10/5): - Very helpful staff
- Jane (9/5): - We had an end cabin so it was nice and quiet with a scenic view. Bed was super comfy, bit dated but very spacious and tidy. Reception super helpful and friendly.Lovely stay. Being dated the shower could definately be improved. Not a hair washing shower
- THIERRY (4/5): Je regrette mon choix - C'est joli Mauvaise literie. Lit trop mou
- Abigail (10/5): -
- Liz (9/5): -
- Belinda (8/5): Comfortable, brilliant location. Brilliant staff. - Loved its proximity to the town. Very quiet & private.
Would be a shame if Kerikeri loose this motel complex. The deforestation that is happening next door! What a shame.
Landscaping & maintenance around the motels has been neglected.
- Kim (7/5): Value for money - Location Some of the kitchen items were a bit outdated.
- Jones (8/5): - Location, clean, and comfortable for the price Outside walkway light shone through the uncovered glass entrance door, keeping the room lit up all night.
- Jan (7/5): We had a very comfortable stay - Not too far out of town surrounded by trees and quiet.
- Greg T NZ (8/5): -
- Laughland (10/5): -
