Guest Reviews

- Michele (10/5): Perfect location, perfect hosts and perfect stay. - Graham and Mandy were excellent hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. Check in was perfect. Our room was a good size, huge bed, fridge, fan, heater, tea, coffee, water supplied. Absolutely lovely setting, every amenity within a five minute radius and within a stones throw from the sea/beach. Breakfast was served in a separate building (Goodfellow’s Hall) which was the original Life Boat station. Great setting to eat breakfast in and a very good breakfast at that. Plenty of places to eat in the evening, The Robin Hood and The Lobster being our favourites, both served good quality, reasonably priced food. We very much enjoyed our stay. There are a few free parking spaces outside Goodfellows Hall and some free on street parking 3/5 minutes away. There is a small Council
Car park on the seafront and one on the cliff top. These are £11.00 for 24 hours, so parking can be an issue. However parking is an issue throughout Sheringham.
- Roxanne (9/5): Great seaside getaway - The location was excellent right next to the beach and to town not far to wander at all. Stairs were quite steep, ok for us humans but a bit of a struggle for our dog. But not a major barrier

- Nikki (10/5): Excellent little spot near the sea - Excellent location in Sheringham, really close to the sea and shops.
Graham met me at reception, and gave a tour including where to go for breakfast which he'd be cooking the next morning. Really great value for money too, I can't wait to stay again

They allow me to store my bicycle, and were very helpful with suggestions. Really enjoyed my stay and for sure will be booking there again if ever in town again. Could not have been more central in town.

- Sam (10/5): -
- Paul (10/5): Welcoming, Lovely stay we will be back - Greeted by Graham the owner who gave us a warm welcome, great breakfast, ideal position with a added bonus of being able to park the car next to our accommodation Nothing to dislike
- vivienne (1/5): Appalling!! - Nothing appalled, didnt stay in the end, had to book in somewhere else. 1st nights stay, had to spend alone in my car, in a car park near kings lynne, as delays on drive and owner wouldn't wait for me to arrive between 22.15pm and 22.30 despite him only being yards from accommodation, then told me he's only open from 9.30 am next morning, for check in and breakfast, breakfast served just after 10am in a freezing, ice cold dining room, burnt black toast, inedible strange tasting sausage, rest just passable, but I was frozen to the core, the host had served cooked breakfast and promptly left the freezing building, couldn't find him, he was up the road somewhere. Got in my room to find dirty carpets windows and blinds, shower mould in, stains on bed sheets, I promptly left. Tried to call booking .com but got a chat bot, after hours, trying to get a customer service number and calling only to get an AI assistant, time and again and being cut off trying to speak to real person, by then it was night time again and I had no where to stay, after making my complaint to customer services, being out of pocket having paid for Smugglers Accomodation and it not being fit to stay in I had to find a hotel myself and pay again to stay somewhere 45mins away from where I needed to be, but at least I finally had a bed for the night. I was left terrified in my car and frozen for over 12 hours, had no shower or way to get clean till I got to the hotel I booked which which was some 30hrs + after I'd set off from home. Made me ill, Ruined my stay and all my plans. Disgusted and appaled. I HAVE PHOTOGRAPHS, taken of my room in smugglers, pity I couldnt take a picture of the temperature of freezing dining room or the appalling taste of the food, but do have pictures of black burnt toast. I have heard nothing back from booking.com at all which is also appalling service. When I do return home I will be speaking with my solicitor with regards to legal action. Yours regrettably Mrs V J East.
- Lesley (9/5): Wonderful place to stay and met and exceeded all expectations! - Very clean and comfortable. Bed great. Breakfasts fabulous as cooked by Graham! Great location for walking around Sheringham. Had everything we needed in the room. We weren't clear about parking but all worked out. Also we live in the USA and couldn't get wifi or phone signal for some reason to be able to call on arrival to let hosts know we had arrived. Would be good to have an alternative way of contacting them for overseas visitors if possible, just in case tech doesn't work!
- Charlotte (10/5): Perfect location, amazing views, great facilities and welcoming host - Upon arrival we were welcomed and allowed straight into our accommodation even though it was late morning. We were upgraded to a
Cottage with the most wonderful sea views. We loved the property, it had everything we needed and made our stay even better than we had imagined when we booked a room on the b&b. The host could not have done more to make us feel welcome. Nothing
- Ann (10/5): Excellent throughout -
- Caroline (10/5): Can’t wait to come again thankyou too all the staff - Beautiful little cottage excellent location
- Diana (9/5): - Room was clean, modern and comfortable, the owners were super friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was plentiful and in a nice, open hall. The location is really convenient! Booking . Com completely screwed up the reservations, even though they sent me a confirmation they hadn't sent it through to the poor owner. So arriving on a bank holiday weekend, we were extremely lucky the owner had one room left (it was the busiest weekend of the summer in Sheringham). Apparently it was the third time in a month that a reservation hadn't been sent to the owner from booking. Good reminder that sometimes it's best to book direct.
- Peter &Dawn (10/5): Highly reccomend,we will be coming back. - Location was absolutely lovely, really clean.
The breakfast was superb, all cooked fresh & delicious,we loved that it was all local ingredients.
Staff couldn’t have done more for us! Nothing,it was perfect.

- David (9/5): - Looked after us really well.. All out of their control..
Weather cold and snowy
Heating packed up but fixed as soon as informed
- IAN (7/5): - Great accommodation, bedroom and shower room plenty big enough for one night. Breakfast was cold. It’s a bit strange that the plates of food are carried across the road without any form of covering.
- Mark (9/5): - The two owners could not have been more helpful. Great location, good breakfast ,what more do you want?
- Bridget (9/5): - Great location right in the centre. Fab facilities with kitchenette and everything you need for a short stay Low water pressure but I don’t think that can be helped
- Jenny (10/5): - Lovely room , very good location and managed to get parked at property, stayed 1 night for new year day fireworks on Cromer pier. All was fine

- holland (10/5): Wonderful accomodation, location & staff - Loved everything. Graham was so welcoming on arrival, very helpful with info on Sheringham. The room had all I needed, Really lovely cooked breakfast. and it is one road from the sea. I felt safe and cared for, which was important, as I have only been on my own, travelling this year. Didn't like the slopes back up from the beach, haha. I didn't dislike anything about my stay, I loved it all, the accommodation and staff, they always had time for me. I will be back.
- Roger (9/5): This was the ideal place to stay for a four day vist to North Norfolk - The location was great - very convenient Would have liked Room to have been a bit larger but fine for short stay

- Chris (9/5): It was a great place to stay and being in the town centre it was handy for the shops and beach. - Great location and easy check in.
- Schirmer (10/5): Fife Stars - Very nice accommodation. We were there on 05. to 07. Of august. And have as an extra special a concert of the Wrong Jovi tribute band . In front of.
Great .
The only one bee to remember is , attention to the parking ticket.
But is not far 50m.

- Ian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Emma (10/5): Great last minute getaway - Fantastic location. A few steps from seeing the sea.
We had a family room that also had a kitchenette which was a nice touch.
Booked it really late so pleased we got so lucky with the Smugglers. Breakfast cooked to order and the owners are great. N/A

- Neil (10/5): Exceptional - A great location, warm welcome and a lovely place to stay. Would highly recommend and already thinking about another stay.
- David (10/5): Great friendly service at a great location, very close to the sea and old town. - Breakfast is wonderful - Greek yogurt with fruit for starters, and/or cereal of your coice followed by a full English breakfast tailored to you choice (not buffet style). Great coffee and fresh orange juice plus croissants and choice of jams.
- Terry (10/5): Exceptional - The Staff was very helpful, great breakfast Rosie my dog had the freedom she needed,
we was near the beach and not to far away from the stream Railway.
- Robert (7/5): Good -
- Terence (10/5): Exceptional -
- Doreen (10/5): Comfortable room, excellent hosts, great location - The location is perfect the owners Graham and Mandy are so nice nothing too much trouble. Our shower was running cool and Graham just replaced the whole unit next day!
Breakfast was brilliant such choice! Nothing we liked everything
- Diana (7/5): Good - Comfy bed. Quiet location. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Could have been cleaner. Shower room was a bit basic
- Richard (9/5): Just two nights were not enough - we'll be back for more. - A pleasant, clean, well-maintained room with a large en-suite bathroom, near the beach and centre of Sheringham with its shops and pubs. Excellent breakfasts, very good range of things to eat. Nothing!
- Jennifer (8/5): Our stay was lovely but only because our hosts accommdated us with another room. Our room was advertised as delux it was - Well, I didn’t like my accommodation when we arrived. It was terrible. We complained and Graham was very helpful and changed our room to another area of their accommodation. I won’t be booking with booking.com again as the room I was given had a terrible view so small and very dated.
- Carol-anne (8/5): Excellent highly recommend this accommodation - The owner Graham came out to meet us as soon as I called his mobile. Such a very helpful man. the accommodation was excellent. Very clean. The facilities were much more than we needed for 2 nights but if you were staying longer it had a dishwasher and washing machine. The only slight suggestion I would make is I would remove the sofa so there is more room in the larger area. The shower/bath room was very clean with a electric shower. The breakfast was excellent with a excellent choice from the cold section. I would defiantly go back and recommend this accommodation. Graham thank you for a a brilliant weekend and warm welcome. I would suggest moving the large sofa from the room to make more room to move about.
- Dominic (10/5): Excellent, Loved the Smugglers , we will be back ! - Location was Perfect ! 1 minute from the Sea front the rooms were clean and bed was comfortable, Graham our host was great and made us feel welcome ! Breakfast was excellent, would highly recommend Nothing we didn’t like
- James (10/5): will visit again soon - Perfect Location Breakfast parking organized by host
- Sue (10/5): Wonderful - we will be back! - Absolutely stunning property, fully equipped and huge room! Graeme and staff, friendly, accommodating and just lovely people. Will recommend to all and definitely stay again! Nothing, everything was amazing!
- Brian (10/5): Wonderful week away, not least helped by the weather. - Quirky apartment which was literally a stones throw from the promenade.
Breakfast (provided by the hosts in an adjacent hall) was excellent quality and cooked to perfection. If I was being picky, Lack of natural light inside the apartment
- John (9/5): Very restful and peaceful. - Very welcoming and friendly, excellent breakfast our hosts coped seamlessly with a local power cut just before breakfast. We would certainly recommend a visit, You would not regret it.👍😀😀😀😀 Gold plated knife and fork. 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
- Darren (10/5): Fantastic stay - Fantastic second stay, but it's definitely not the last. Couldn't praise the place and staff enough. Highly recommended.
- Kaufman (8/5): Very good -
- Amanda (10/5): 5* - Loved our stay from start to finish. Great host. Superb accommodation. Fantastic breakfast with so much choice. 5*
- Joe (10/5): Excellent centrally located b&b with fantastic hosts, rooms and breakfast - Excellent location, excellent friendly helpful staff, beautiful breakfast. Thanks to all!
- Caron (10/5): Great place to stay - Great location not far from the sea. Room was spacious, comfortable and quiet. Excellent breakfast just across the road in the hall.
- Denise (6/5): room could of been cleaner. - Breakfast was great, location was great, hosts were lovely Room not very clean, mirrors were really dusty, as we're the blinds, en suite had hairs on the floor & something down the door, carpet was not great, the towels were still damp!! Could of done with a small chair of some sort, as bed was really soft. Coat hangers were pointless as couldn't hang dresses, trousers up, hence being put over a dressing table.
- Lynn (8/5): A perfect place for a long weekend - Right near the sea, beach, car park and shops. The hosts Graham and Mandy were very attentive. Very comfortable room, fantastic breakfast. I would highly recommend the Smugglers. The only downside about the room was that there was no view at all. It looked out over a roof and onto a wall.
- Shellie (10/5): Awesome! - Beautiful accommodation in a fantastic location in Sheringham.
Graham and Mandy are superb hosts offering local info and handy tips.
Breakfast is awesome and caters for all tastes. Thank you. Xx
- John (8/5): Excellent location. Friendly and helpful staff. - Good breakfast - pastries, toast, cereals and a full cooked breakfast - very flexible in meeting guests' requirements. Nothing.
- Karen (10/5): A fantastic stay in a great location - Location was great. Staff very friendly and helpful. The breakfast choice was vast and delicious. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff I liked everything. Could not fault the accommodation ar all.
- Felicity (9/5): Superbly comfortable and welcoming. - Very quiet location very close to the sea. Lovely smiling and welcoming hosts. Superbly comfortable beds. Nice not to have to pre-order breakfast as is common in many places. Twin room didn't have a lot of space for clothes without reaching across the second bed. Local jam/honey at breakfast would have been nice instead of plastic wrapped single portions (and more environmentally friendly).
- Nic (8/5): With the great weather, it’s an idyllic spot and the breakfasts were great. Be sure to book early though to get the bet - Location.
Cleanliness. Amenities. Friendly owners. Tea/coffee facilities. Room ambience. Bed not comfortable. No shower gel or shampoo as advertised. Vicious furniture (always wear slippers when negotiating the room in the middle of the night, or pay the price!).
- Peter (10/5): Exceptional set up with wonderful breakfasts - This was b and b plus. The best I have ever stayed in. Owner’s brilliant
- Clare (10/5): Exceptional -
- Heather (8/5): Friendly and welcoming host, very centrally located, good breakfast -
- Helen (9/5): Superb -
- Paula (7/5): Last minute weekend break - Nice central location within Sheringham. Host very friendly Lack of parking at the property.
- Wendy (9/5): Superb -
